Fantastic quality as always from SanDisk. I didn't get as much the advertised 100 MB read speeds, but the drive is sufficiently speedy and backwards compatible with USB 2.0. In most practical uses, users won't notice an appreciable speed boost compared to other USB drives, but they certainly won't be dissatisfied with its performance, either. And best of all - your computer will have no issue reliably detecting this drive, unlike cheaper alternatives. The drive comes with downloadable RescuePro software (for one year), but the likelihood of file loss or damage with this drive is pretty minimal. Nice as a bonus. This is an excellent option for university or business contexts where physical transfer of files might be necessitated by hardware or network incompatibility, or if one simply needs a reliable backup for important files. The drive is compact but just large enough to be easily located in a pocket or bookbag. Plus, there's a plastic loop in the chassis to attach it to a keychain for extra ease of access. The drive is made with over 70% recycled plastic, so for those concerned about environmental waste this is a great option. Strongly recommended for anyone still in need of a USB drive in 2022, and an excellent choice for light and portable document backup. Definitely worth the price.

I'm thrilled that companies are starting to make an effort to release more environmentally friendly products. I'm environmentally conscious, but I'm not the greatest when it comes to being "eco-friendly." I recycle religiously, but I drive a traditional, gasoline powered car, my house isn't solar powered, and I own a high pressure showerhead. That being said, I do try to take what little steps I can when they don't pose too great of an inconvenience. When I heard that SanDisk was releasing a flash drive made with recycled plastics, I had to hop on it. This flash drive isn't exceptional. It won't suddenly turn a low-end laptop into a high-end gaming machine. It also won't magically edit all of your photos and make them look like they were taken in a professional photoshoot. Now that being said, the exceptional thing ABOUT this flash drive is that it helps protect our planet while not experiencing any loss in quality or performance. The flash drive is sturdy, pleasant to look at, offers fast file transfers, and has a nice capacity for storage. No compromises were made to produce this eco-friendly device, so why not pick this up instead of something less eco-friendly? I am very pleased SanDisk has gone this route, and I sincerely hope that they'll continue to offer products like this in the future.

This USB drive packs a bunch of storage into a very compact form factor. It still surprises me how cheap storage is overall but I am very pleased with this product. Pros: Size - The form factor of this USB drive still continues to surprise me. It fits neatly into pockets and attaches to a keychain with a built-in key ring making it a useful tool on the go. Price: again, this is mostly a factor of the overall price of storage, but it is an incredible deal to get so much storage for such a low price. Eco friendly: it's hard to buy a tech product these days without at least considering the environmental impact that it has. Cuz so much of this product was made with recycled material. You can feel good about your impact on the environment while using it. It's really hard to think of a con for this product, but if I had to give one I would say the lack of retractability in the USB part itself. Obviously with such a small form factor initially, it isn't a big deal, but from a visual perspective it would look much cleaner if the connector would fold or slide into its compartment. Overall this is a great product and I would recommend it.

The SanDisk 128GB Ultra Eco USB 3.2 Flash Drive is a a really good portable drive. It is so much faster than my previous USB jump drive and it’s much smaller too. My previous drive was a bit dated. What used to take well over five minutes to transfer a 500 MB file on my older USB jump drive, this drive will transfer the same 500 MB file within seconds. This makes transferring files and documents effortless and a breeze. The loop opening allows you to place it on a lanyard, keychain, or other methods of attachments for carrying the unit around. The back and sides of the drive are somewhat transparent, which allows you to see some of the internals. I did notice that while transferring files, the flash drive would become warm. It wasn’t too hot to handle, but I did notice that it got warm. I use this mainly for transferring and storing files to and from my MacBook Pro and my iPad Pro. It works perfectly on both devices. Overall, I’m happy with the performance this portable flash drive has to offer.

Simple flash drive. Very easy to use straight out of the box. Simply plug and play and that's that. Size of the flash drive is nice, much smaller than those of several years ago. It is nice that it has the extra small key ring feature that is simple to attach to either a keychain, or work lanyard. The key ring feature is a bit higher thickness than I'd prefer, because it does make it a bit of a challenge to attach it to a higher gage thickness key ring, but it does do the job. My primary reason for giving this flash drive four stars is due to it not having a permanently attached USB cover mechanism. From prior experiences, this is preferred to help reduce the amount of dust and debris that the connector gets directly exposed to and ultimately builds up in the connecting interface. Some sort of flip down cover or a slide-over style cover with an attached loop to reduce the risk of losing it would have been a nice feature to have. All in all, good product that is pretty simple and straight forward.

SanDisk USB 3.2 Flash Drives are still my go-to for portable storage and for using as Linux live boot sticks. They have proven to be the most reliable, long-lasting drives for my needs. They will typically maintain their read and write speeds better than their competition. Even if they have an occasional hiccup with re-formatting, we can usually use a couple of Linux tricks to refresh the drive and get it back to normal. I needed the extra drives for distros and to use as substitute shared folders for my VMs to speed up the ricing process. My budget SanDisk USB 2.0 drives are, unfortunately, annoyingly slow, even for the small amount of content they have. I’m never going to be a fan of the slot on the end for using a key ring or carabiner to hook on to a belt loop, say, since you could easily bump up against a wall and snap the drive off, potentially without even knowing it. For home use, I keep mine in old pill bottles or vitamin bottles (washed, of course). How do I know what is on them? A 3x5-inch spiral bound memo book does the trick for me. They do get a surprising amount of use as live boot sticks, as I like to see how various distros behave on my aging laptop’s hardware. When done, I just write another image on the drive, then update the note paper. They have the performance I need, and the price is right for me. Highly recommended if your needs are Linux-related, or you just need reliable, portable storage. Definitely worth the 5 Stars.
