I've heard some complaints about lower rpm drives and sure, if your all about benchmark numbers and loading that sweet new game up fast and beating everyone else to spawn, ya, go get a 10,000 rpm drive (or an SSD you Hard-Core zombie killers!) and 'game on'. If you just want a hefty drive to archive images, movies or whatever other bloat you've got laying around, this drive packs the storage capacity. Once installed -and there are a couple of hoops to jump through if you're using Windows 7 in order for the drive to be recognized but it can be done, I got about 3.8-ish or so TB of space out of it.

This drive was what we needed for additional video storage. We went from six days coverage to two weeks. We will highly consider another one if the need is there.

A drive of this size won't be an everyday driver for the average person, but what it does it has done without issue. This is a storage drive for me, paired with a fast SSD for performance. As such I couldn't comment too much on it's relative performance - it's not meant to compete with super-fast SSD but there's been no particular sluggishness accessing what's on it, or reading or writing files on it. When formatting, remember to make sure it's set up with the GPT partition layout, otherwise the full 4 terabyte capacity won't be available.

Drive houses VHDs for test machines. Light use, but no issues so far.

From external to internal Seagates hard drives always get the job done. I absolutely love this product and it is the 2nd one I have purchased

I need a drive to store a lot of media. I got this on sale and it has been great. For the 4TB, it's a good price and I've had no issues.

I needed to replace a hard drive that failed. This drive installed without any problems and has been working great since the install.

I'm using one of these for my gaming rig right now with no problems. No dead sectors, and it's definitely a 7200 rpm HDD.

If you are going to buy a 4TB drive. This is the one. Although I do not like 4TB sometimes I have a project that calls for it. 2TB drives are the best. But this 4TB drive served its purpose well!

Was east to install. Now i enjoy playing my new upgraded memory on ps4 without worrying about running low on memory

I got this as a replacement for the HDD in my PS4 (yes i know that sounds strange) and it works just great! I knew i had to get some extra wires, and that a PS4 would not supply enough power for a large HDD like this, so it is in my computer, hooked up to power, while a SATA extension cable with a male a female end hook the HDD to the PS4. It works beautifully, have had no hiccups and plenty more space than any of the provided drives.

Works great! Have had it in 24/7 use for months! I do have backups just Incase though.

This drive worked as advertised. I use it to store movies and it performs fine. Tried using it to host virtual machines and it just isn't fast enough. VM performance suffers from slow RPM.

i was able to get it into my tower and loaded up Windows and it works flawlessly! easy packaging!

Seagate hard drives just always work. If you can't purchase a SSD drive, I recommend this puppy.
