Wasn't exactly plug n play for me. Computer and Windows was recognizing the hard drive but was not showing up on My Computer. Went into Device Manager and there it was. 5 minutes in Google led me to Disk Management tool where you had to set this drive to GPT drive (otherwise will only show 2TB available), and then create partition using part disk (in command prompt), and then finally go back to Disk Management - you have to set its label and then you can format and use this drive. Perfect! Now it works great showing all of 4TB and have transferred all files without a hiccup

This is the 3rd one I have installed in my Alienware and it works great with the other hard drives. I Have 6 hard drive bays and use every single one. I have two 4TB, two 1TB and 2 SSD already installed and now will have this one in for my Video pics from my CANON 7D Mark II. Great hard drive and reliable and if I fill up my other TB drives I will always get a Seagate.

When I saw this drive with this amount of storage for the price it was on sale for I grabbed one. Now my PS4 has plenty of storage space, with the addition of the Nyko external drive enclosure for the PS4, for all of the games that I own.

Good price for this much storage, have 3 of them and no problems yet.

I bought my Seagate 4TB over a year ago and its still working fine. No strange clicks or noises. Its a monster drive for storing my Documents, Mp3's, Movies and Photos. My only caveat is that it is only a 5600 rpm drive, so it makes searching for things on it a little slow. But it does run cooler than my 2TB 7200 rpm Seagate hard drive. I wouldn't recommend it as a main drive for Windows or any OS, but if you need a secondary internal drive for all your "stuff" for a good price its a great choice.

I bought this drive because I was running out of space on my master drive and am now using it to save all my media files on. It is fast a relatively quiet (not as quiet is the master but no loud enough to be annoying).

I needed storage, boom!. Plug and play, worked right away.

I bought two of these to add to an existing one to create a RAID 5 array for my media server and they have worked flawlessly from the beginning. I have purchased many Seagate drives (both internal and external) and I have never received a dud.

I have always been partial to Seagate computer products. When I decide to rework my storage and use mirroring to protect data I needed a large capacity drive. The utilities to transfer data was excellent and work perfectly. It was even a bootable partition that I grew from a 128 GB partition to 300GB.

I got this hard drive to replace my 6 year old 1tb hard drive and having four times the space now is amazing. I've had no problems with the drive and transferring everything over from my 1tb to my 4tb was easy. Definitely recommended.

I'm using this hard drive as a back up alternative to the multiple small hard drives I've been using. So far it's working fine, it's very fast, and dividing it into 4 partitions in Windows 7, 64-bit, was easy (after doing plenty of research). My Linux OS recognizes all the partitions, too. According to other research I've done, the 4 terabyte Seagates are the most reliable, too, statistically. Still, I'm keeping the other hard drives, plus blu-rays, etc. Better safe than sorry... either way I'm paranoid, apparently!

I purchased this drive to add internal storage to my almost used up 1TB drive. Installed with no problem using the recommended software (had to partition the drive though) and moved all the stuff I need to it.

This was fast and reliable. Easy to use and networked very nicely. Seems it had a reminder on its calendar to misbehave when warranty ran out.

We're in the film business and work with huge files. Using a bear drive with docs is perfect for switching between products. I've bought several of these Seagate drives and never had a failure.

Bought this because I needed more storage on my computer. Install was very simple and the drive works perfectly.

I tested it before I put it into service, even did a full format, no bad sector were reported. I use it for my Media server with good results, fast enough for my need (it is a 5900RPM).

Easy to install! Changed out a DVR for a Security System from a 1TD to this 4Tb. Unpludded, switched it out, turned back on! Works perfect.
