this HD works very well, plenty of space for movie files. you do need to know that you need a 64 bit OS to utilize all 4 TB's. 32 bit OS will only recognize 2 TB. Use the disk wizard and you'll be fine.

this is a great HDD with a lot of space but it requires special format to be able to use all the space available

My existing hard drive was failing and I had to replace it immediately or risk losing all my data. I saved having to run all around town by checking Best Buy online. I found what I was looking for at the local store, 15 minutes away from my house. I was able to quickly find the drive and replace my existing drive.

I needed additional storage for the family photos and family music library. This Seagate - 4TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktops, has more than enough storage for the family and was easy to install.

I replaced a much smaller older drive and was VERY pleased with both the read/write performance as well as the low noise levels during operation. I have had very good luck with Seagate drives in the past.

So far, so good... I've heard a lot of bad things on the 3TB models, so I was a little scared of putting these in. This was the 2nd drive of the same kind that I've put into my PC, both drives are running well, no issues so far. It's been about a year since I've put in the 1st drive. I'd recommend at least a 4TB drive if you're trying to build up your storage. I'd probably wouldn't go smaller than 4TB though, as bigger HDD are dropping in price.

Not much to expect from this drive. I replaced a smaller drive in my NAS with this, and so far so good.

No too much to say. It is a nice big hard drive that has performed well. Very happy with my purchase.

Its difficult to enthusiastically review a hard drive -- it was inexpensive, its reliable, it works in my NAS, and it does the trick. That's about as good as it gets for a hard drive!

Used in DVR runs great keeps up with 21 cameras just fine.

I purchased this as a secondary drive for my desktop. The installation process was very easy. I just didn't like the fact that the drive didn't come with mounting screws or cable for installation. So far the drive is working great, good speed and no issues.

Works great on dvr thw speed for record video or transfer video after record is really good.

I needed a larger hard drive and this was great. 4TB means no more running out of space!

Setup in Windows 8 was pretty easy. It holds a boatload of data, and the performance is good for a giant mechanical drive. If you can get it on sale, it's definitely worth it.

Besides having to go through a couple of extra steps in windows and buying a sata cable setup was really easy and the hard drive has been working great.
