Not to noisy, fast enough to exceed my needs...overall happy with the buy.

My first purchase of this item didn't goes so well because the drive itself was faulty. Not Best Buys fault but they made it right and exchanged the item for me with any hassle. The new drive works flawlessly! My personal recommendation, use this as a backup only and not as your primary backup. I'm using it to backup my NAS!

I previously had the 4Tb version of this drive connected to my Netgear router which allows me to map the drive to my notebook. 2 more portable drives and I have 3 drives running off of 1 USB port. So when I needed a bigger drive I bought this one. Got a great price after price matching a local store

The Seagate 8TB Backup Storage drive is an excellent purchase. Note that it comes with a USB3 cable and is actually 7.3TB instead of 8TB. I have the Seagate connected to my Netgear NighthawkX8 R8500 router via the USB3.0 connection. I backup my Windows and Apple devices to the Seagate through the Netgear router.

My document_video_audio files have been scattered over several smaller external hard drives. This unit has allowed me to consolidate everything onto a single hard drive and still have considerable room for the addition of future files. This is my second Seagate drive. Have been very happy with the first one.

I'm a video editor and use lots of hard drive storage, Seagate has always been very dependable whether I use it to store past projects or work directly from the external hard drive. I use Mac and simply re-format before I start transferring data. I've been using Seagate hard drives for 5 years now.

I really like the Seagate - Backup Plus Hub 8TB External USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive. I ended up buying two of them. I would recommend it if you are looking to buy a new hub.

Excellent external hard drive for storage purposes. Due to the SMR hard drive, if you plan on constantly re-writing files stored on an external hard drive look else where but for storage purposes and accessing the stored files a SMR hard drive have no real down side.

I got this item because it was very reasonable and a brand name. It should give me a lot of backup space for my Xbox. I am 80 years old and love playing some of the better games.

I am using this with my Xbox One X as storage expansion, and it works perfectly. The Xbox recognized it immediately and provisioned all of the storage into the storage pool. It is useful that the device has USB ports, which can be used to charge controllers.

I was running out of storage on my Xbox One external hard drive, so I upgraded to this one and have doubled my storage capacity so I'm able to download every game and app for immediate use, whenever I want. If you have more than about 3-5 Digital games on your Xbox, this is a MUST HAVE!

This Seagate drive has a huge 8TB capacity plus two USB hubs, allowing you to "daisy chain" your external drives while only using one USB port on your computer. It's quiet and dependable and a great choice for those with huge amounts of data to store. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I was looking for a backup drive to go with my new MacBook and found this one in the store. It is working well backing up my MacBook and was a good price for the 8T of storage that you get. Provides another level of security backup in lieu of just the cloud backup. A good purchase.

Fast, spacious, and so far no issues with the drive.

Perfect drive for write-once backups - such as for Apple Time Machine snapshots. Although write speeds will fall if you re-write data. A nice bonus is you can daisy-chain drives using the USB ports on the front.

Although the thought of putting 8TB of data in one basket was a little scary, I am very pleased with the capacity and performance of this drive. The read and write speeds are fast and seeking speed is decent. Once again, Best Buy came through with great price and fast delivery.
