The Seagate Backup Plus Hub for Mac has been working with no problem. We had massive problems when we purchased a My Book and ended up taking it back and exchanging it for a Seagate. I highly recommend the Seagate for a Mac.

I've bee very happy with Seagate products and this time I wanted to move away from the portables. I don't have any complaints as I use this extensively with Plex for storage. I've noted no slowdowns and the response have been great!

Is a great hard drive. The description was wrong when I bought it. It said portable hard drive. And it’s not a portable one. It has to be plugged into a wall outlet for power. Other then that works great.

was able to back up my files with this bad boy prior to complete system failure and had no issues in retrieving them following... The write speed is a little slow when using the USB 2.0 but very quick on the main 3.0 port.

Though Seagate is lauded as a stable external drive making company, over the last few years my Seagate drives have run into issues (generally internal failures) The benefit is anytime these issues occur and documentation with Seagate occurs they have replaced the item with teh same o equal (yet newer version) of the original. These failures generally do not occur until 8 - 1.5 years after purchase.

I bought this after a less than satisfactory experience with a similar Western Digital product. The Seagate was advertised as "Time Machine ready" and that proved to be true. Plug and play. Very satisfied!

I've been using this external HDD for over a month. So far 0 issues with it, it's some slow to copy files (didn't get the stated performance) but still does the job. Plenty of Space for videos and music.

We just purchased a new pc and wanted a backup system that we didn't have to pay for monthly. I know eventually it may not function, but I don't see the point in paying someone monthly for a service.

I was concerned that I had no means to back up my hard drive in case of problems,, but this did the trick. Took a bit or research to find out how, since this item has muliti functions, but all OK.

This is a backup drive for my photography business. Does great and I can even use the drive actively if needed in editing with Lightroom and Photoshop. Only dislike is that it is designed to sit upright rather than on it's side. This makes it easy to tip over.

I went to open the HDD finally so I can have my son set up my security system been waiting forever and I dont know why this product says it comes with a power 13 volt adapter but it does not or did not. Otherwise 5 stars.

4 TB basic drive, though little advise in how to make it a backup drive a computer could run it does store the documents, media and game files.

The interface is friendly and it's easy to use. Plug it in and it is working instantly. I also like the cloud computing that is included. The actual hardware is durable and sleek.

I am using the hard drive on a Mac with Time Machine. I was able to partition the drive for auto back up of the computer and separate files on the other partition.

I usually by WD HD. Put the price for the 4GB Seagate was to good to pass up. This is my 2nd large Seagte HD I use ti back up my WD hard drives. So far no problems what so ever.

I bought this as my western digital external hard drive crapped out on me and this one was on sale..i believe ig is better quality than WD and it has a cheaper preice tag on it

Love the ability to switch between mac and pc. With USB 3 speed of copying to and from the drive is great. A bit bulkier than I expected but good value for your money. Recommend it if you are not planning to carry it around.

Bought this to replace a dying LaCie 1T back-up drive. I reformatted it for OS10 -plugged it in and it works. I can't comment on any included software - did not use it

I purchased this to backup my wife's laptop prior to upgrading Windows from 7 to 10. Easy to install and run the software....

This is quick and fast for an external drive. I love the extra usb ports. This sits right next to my monitor so I can plug my iPhone to charge and sync my music.
