I was looking for more capacity and installation ease. I found it in this device and am really happy with it. Easy to set up and not real obvious by my PC.

Just last week a buddy and I were discussing the fact that you really couldn't daisy chain these external drives, then I came across this one from Seagate, so I bought one! My only concern is that with no ventilation holes but a few in the bottom of the case it will shut down on a thermal overload to save itself from burning up. So I strap a double hard drive fan to the outside of the case! It looks clunky, but it does work! I know they don't put fans in these drives because of size restrictions, and those tiny little fans don't have a very long lifespan anyhow, but since heat rises, a few holes on the TOP of the drive might help immensely! And I'm SURE that drilling holes in the case would probably void the warranty, and also opening it up definitely would!

I really liked the extra USB ports on the front of the drive. It was very simple to setup the backup software and has been working great.

Purchased this hard drive to back-up photos and free up space on a laptop. The hard drive is easy to set up and the files copy over to it very quickly.

Set up out of the box was very easy. And speed of file access is quick. I also found transferring file from my old back up was quick and painless.

Got it on-sale for cheap. So far works as advertised. Front hub is USB 3.0 so that is nice. Write is 193.8 MB/s and Read is 185 MB/s over USB 3.0!

It's not quiet! Maybe like the buzz of an xbox you'd hear sitting on the couch. But I think LR runs a little faster on this than the self powered seagate drives (STEA1000400) that I have purchased previously. And I love being able to plug in my XQD card reader to the available USB 3 ports. That's handy and fast uploading off my camera. I like it because of it's performance (and I've had good reliability with Seagate) but would "upgrade" in the future if they come out with a model that shares the same performance in a quiet box.

Easy install and plenty of TB to back up my system and data. I also like the hub aspect as I can plug additional portable drives into this one

This hard drive was such a good deal and great for plex server! all this memory allows me to store so much data with ease and runs silent.

I have a lot of portable hard drives for many things, but after loosing some important documents off my computer, I decided to purchase a good desktop hard drive. You can't put a price on saving and securing years of photos/videos and a huge music collection, but this hard drive is a solid purchase. I love how it has two usb ports on it, so I can charge my devices and connect them to my computer, or I can back-up directly to the drive. Haven't figured that out but i'm sure it'll be a good idea soon. 4 terabytes is plenty big enough for me, for now, so I partition 1tb to be my backup, and 3tb for storage. I'm sure if I treat this drive properly, it will last me years just sitting on my desk.

Very good deal. 4TB for 80$ and connected to my Xbox One seamlessly. very happy with the purchase.

I needed a external drive to store photos because my computer had reached its limit. This is easy to set up and hasn't let me down yet.

Not only does this device have 4TB of storage, it has 2 very convenient USB ports in the front of the device for easy access. Since it was pre-formatted for mac, the setup was easy.

Very quick install, was up and copying data in no time at all. The usb hub is a god send, with an older computer ports are few.

I use this drive to store and play digital files and it does that very well - even blu-ray 1080p! Keep it upright, as it shuts down from overheating when on its side.

Great device. Love having this huge drive for all my movies and media centrally located near my desktop or xbox one. And I can charge my controllers or phone from it!

4TB is a large amount of memory and for this price it is definitely one of the best options. The size is not too large and the black finish is very appealing.

We were just needed a lot of storage for photos and videos. This seems to be working well, but the software was a little hard to figure out on our Macbooks.
