I bought this to replace my burned out Seagate 2TB drive. Sad to report that that Seagate Backup drive quit, but nothing lasts forever, right? The price of this 4TB drive was too good to pass up. I was going to replace my drive with an economical 2TB portable because they seemed to be priced right. This was a better deal.

I've never had any issues with Seagate external hardrives. they are reliable and store my photos well.

4tb backup with software and 3.0 USB. No worries about whether to archive data, etc.

These drives are great. I have 6 of them. Built solid Have had no problems with them in the past 8 mos.

I went to Best Buy to purchase a different external hardrive with more space but it was out of stock. I went ahead and purchased this one. It works great. I did find it to be a little slow but I was saving 40 GB (it took all night to copy the files onto the hard drive). I would still recommend it.

My old backup hard drive was showing some errors and I was afraid I would lose all my backup data. I saw this item at BestBuy that was 4tband formatted for Mac. I was able to plug it in, copy the data from my old drive before it failed and turned on my Time Machine and it just worked! Great device!

the backup recorder was simple to hook up and install. There seem to be no problems, certainly hope I don't need to rely on it. More storage than I will ever need but the store was out of stock on the model I preferred. The difference in price between the two was small and this product had more features.

Nice addition to my small business network. Easy to set up and fast when combined with newer Apple products supporting USB 3. Really slow with USB 2.

The Seagate drive is great for Time Machine backups. Having 2 USB ports on the front of the drive is a big help attaching and removing flash drives. Now I don't have to turn the iMac around to get to the ports on the back. The only thing that would improve it would be the addition of an SD port.

Needed extra Hard drive for Xbox and have had very good luck with the 8TB Drive by Seagate and so far have had no issues with the 4TB one I am using now.

Easy set-up and fast. I like that it has two usb ports on the front.

I have 2 of these now and have had no problems with either them. I love the USB drives on the front so I don't have to reach around to the back of my all-in-one all the time to plug in flash drives. Have had no problems yet and look forward to a long life from this unit.

this is an excellent external hard drive for backing up files of my iMac computer.

I just bought my second one after using this one and Seagate will be my drive of choice from now on. Excellent drive. Nice footprint and the USB ports have come in handy from dropping pictures from my phone when I need them for video clients.

For the sale price I purchased the two drives at, they perform excellently. Great to have the extra storage space for keeping copies of important project work and the fast transfer rates mean I don't have to sit around for days waiting for a big copy.

This was a great buy. I need to back up the hard drive on an old PC before I gave it to my elementary school aged son.

I love this product and fits perfectly for my ps4. Highly recommended
