Great non SSD Choice

Failed in less than two months

The new one failed in less than two months. Yes, luckily, because I bought it from Best Buy and not Amazon, it is not an OEM, so it's under warranty. However, the warranty from this hard drive company and probably others is a cruel joke. First you have to turn in your drive with perhaps sensitive information on it, then they give you a refurbished replacement, for instance someone else's turned in hard drive. Yes, it doesn't matter how young your drive is, they can give you old equipment. I guess that's what limited means. I'm sure they know that most people won't turn in their hard drives, which is why this is a great deal for them. Too bad they can't test it, remotely using smartctl or their seatools or let you pay to have your hard drive sent back to you so you can destroy, but I suppose it becomes part of their inventory.
