Customers are pleased with the ample storage space, ease of use, and overall performance of the Game Drive for Xbox. Many appreciate its price, fast transfer speeds, and appealing design with a green LED bar. Some customers have noted compatibility issues and slightly slower load times. However, the drive's compact size and simple USB 3.0 setup are generally well-received.

Seagate 2tb hhd review

The seagate 2tb hhd is a very good purchase for people planning on playing a lot of games especially those who have brought their x box 360 and one games onto their series x/s. At $87 with tax it is a very reasonable price for the product. The green led lights in hhd are pretty cool. The only downside is that the seagate hhd can’t run most optimized x box series x/s only store them but some games optimized for the console can run on it. If you are willing to spend a couple bucks more you could other versions with more storage on them if you want but 2tb for me is enough for most I would say. You get 1 year limited warranty north + South America, Europe, Africa and most Asia get 2 and the rest of Asia + Oceania get three and we all get data recovery services in case we lose our game data. Overall this is a must have product for people bringing their old games onto the x box series x/s or plan on playing like that but don’t want to waste the internal storage of their series x/s consoles.

The Seagate Game Drive for Xbox 2TB is an outstanding product. Its sleek design with the green LED bar not only complements the Xbox aesthetic but also provides a premium feel. The setup is incredibly easy—just plug it in, and you're ready to go. With 2TB of storage, there’s ample room for all your favorite games, updates, and DLCs without worrying about space. The performance is seamless thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity, ensuring fast loading times. This drive is a must-have for any Xbox gamer looking for reliable and spacious external storage. Highly recommended!

First off, I would like to disclose that I am an employee of Best Buy Co, Inc, but I have not received this product at a discount. This is a solid storage drive. It works well to store my games that are not Series X|S optimized. I have mine plugged into my Series X. The LED light bar on the front of the drive is cool, although it can be annoying if your room is dark, especially at night. One thing I’ve noticed about the drive, and I don’t know if it is the Xbox or the drive doing it, but after the Xbox has been in standby mode for a couple of hours, the drive will shut off, only turn on for about 10 seconds, then shut off for another 10. It’s constantly cycling power, which gets annoying, especially when I am trying to sleep. I do not know if it is the Xbox that is cycling it’s USB power, or if it is the drive itself. Aside from it not being an SSD, that is my only gripe. If you can find this drive on sale, it is a great deal. Even when it is at full MSRP, it is not a bad deal at all considering it is USB 3.2 and boasts 2TB of storage. All in all, this is a solid little storage drive, and I would recommend to anyone looking for a price friendly way to store non-Series X|S Xbox games.

I waited forever to buy one of these—and now I’m wondering what took me so long. Went from 13% available space to over 80% in an instant. Setup was super easy—just plug it in and you’re good to go. Games load just as fast, and the green LED looks awesome with the rest of the Xbox setup. If you’re running low on space, don’t wait like I did—this thing is totally worth it.

Very cool look which was a motivating factor in my purchase decision. The light is very bright and will cycle on and off when the Xbox is turned off. So, might not be a good choice if your console is in your bedroom. Drive is quiet and works great with the Xbox One X. My only gripe is about the actual storage size. I purchased the 2 TB drive to use for capture storage, but was disappointed to find that it's actually only 1.77 TB according to Windows. I realize the size ratings are rounded up, but this represents approximately 220 GB size discrepancy. That would hold a significant amount of footage and, in my opinion, is too great to overlook. Sadly, there is no information on the packaging or in the product description to alert a buyer of this.

I bought a Seagate drive 5 years ago, this new Seagate model has green light bar to enhance the Xbox color and Xbox logo on the chassis. 3.2 USB is fast for upgrade of internal memory game storage. Good high performance/price factor.

It’s good if u need storage only problem being that all the new games optimized for series x/s won’t be compatible with this one. But overall it holds and runs all other games perfectly.

The external HDD does everything it’s supposed to and that’s great. It’s slim, has a green LED. And offers a crazy amount of storage. BUT !!!! THERE IS A CATCH!!! **YOU CAN NOT PLAY X|S GAMES OFF OF IT****. You will get a message telling you that the game requires faster storage. If you have a series X or S, be aware ! Any game that basically is modified to be X|S ready(the game icon literally has X|S on it) can not be played off of the hard drive. You can store it there and that’s it. So you will have to go through the trouble of still managing your internal storage if a new game drops or you want to play something else that needs to go on the internal. Some games that can’t be played off of it
Elden ring
Forza 5
Prodeus
Jedi fallen order
CoD MWII(when it drops because it will be X|S
ETC
So for the price and holding storage and downloading older Xbox one games and such, it’s fantastic. Just please be aware of this catch as I’m sure most people did not catch this. Safe to assume that any game from 2022 and on will not be able to be played from this storage device. If you have a series S, I don’t recommend getting the other option because you basically could have gotten the series X with that money(NvME storage is like $200 or $300).
I don’t really want to knock on the device itself, I just know Microsoft is being a bit schemy with this. There is no way they couldn’t have made faster storage. They just need you to buy the $200 one.
I had to erase FH5 in order to get that many games on the Internal.

You cannot boot and play series x/s games from here, but I have an xbox one s as well and as a storage option is not a bad choice.
