This is an incredible storage solution for anyone looking to hold, transfer, store old projects or footage, client's work, whatever you need it for. 12TB is a TON of space to work with and you won't be needing anything else for a while. I use this HDD for storing all my client's footage and projects. There are only two issues I have with this drive: When transferring items it's kind of noisy, and can take a while if transferring a lot of data. Hence the 4 star rating. I had to transfer about 3 TBs of footage, (this is an old picture in the review) it took nearly 2 days. Realistically, this could be due to the dock, or other factors I'm not taking into account, but the point still stands, if you're going to dump a ton of files onto it make sure you have the free time to do it. Also, hope you don't mind all the clicking and beeping you will hear from it if it isn't in an enclosed case. Other than those complaints, I have no other issues with it. It's a lot of space, for a good price, and you get a lengthy warranty and file protection plan with it. Overall, very happy with my purchase, and will most likely buy another when this one fills up.

Provides excellent performance and reliability, however, users should be aware of its physical size and weight, which may require adequate space and power considerations. Overall works great for my needs!

Received the drives as advertised. I managed to get them at $195 when they were on sale, price is back up to $230 now, so nice little discount. These are NAS-use specific hard drives, so they went in my new NAS, no problems. I chose the IronWolf series because they are supposedly more like an enterprise drive in terms of durability, configuration and I guess they are filled with helium gas to reduce friction if I read the right literature.

Fast, not too loud, and no bad sectors. Last drive I bought from other brand had bad sectors within 2 weeks of use and corrupted most of my media files. I was worried about that happening, but no problems with this Seagate drive. In my experience, every Seagate drive has worked as advertised and no quality problems. Also fits good in NAS but does not fit in my pc case when I wanted to see if it could. This drive works very well for my media server. My only issue is with the price, I think that paying over $200 is far too much, so I would wait for a sale.

Great hard drive, not exactly what I wanted. I only learned after I received the drive that it was designed for use in a data center. This however has not caused me any issues the drive installed easily and formatted with zero issues. I would recommend this drive to anyone who needs large capacity storage at a decent price.

I need to increase the hard drive space on my NAS. I have been looking for drives that were compatable with my Synology NAS. These worked perfectly and I am very pleased with how easy they were to install and start to use.

12TB, perfect for media server or NAS/Backup deployments. Reliable series of drives from Seagate and this one has been no exception. Expected performance. Highly recommend this drive.

I bought this drive as storage to download all of my PC games in my new build. Even though I only get 10.9 TB of storage instead of 12TB, this drive is still more than enough to store all the games that I want. And purchasing this drive while it is on sale makes it even more worth it.

I recently purchased the Seagate IronWolf 12TB NAS Internal Hard Drive, and I couldn’t be happier with the performance, reliability, and value it offers. As someone who manages large volumes of data for work and personal projects, this drive has proven to be an absolute powerhouse.

Got a few of these on sale like others have. Read nothing but good things about them, and I haven't had any problems but I just use them to stream from my NAS.

I purchased these drive for my Synology NAS and I have been very happy with the performance. These drives are very fast and allow a lot of storage.

I needed more storage space for media files. I've had it for about a month now and it's working great so far. The only issue and the reason I went with 4 stars is that it's pretty loud.

Fast as a SATA HDD can get. A lot of space, 11.1TB after format as normal. I have owned many Seagate HDDs over the years, they still work. I end up upgrading for the convenance of having less HDDs. I have two of these in a Synology NAS in mirror RAID. Upgraded two 6TB. No trouble and have a piece of mind that my data is safe. These are CMR type HDDs, energy efficient, minimum heat production, transfers data above 150MB/s when in PC and avg 110MBs in NAS over GB ethernet. transfer rates very by PC and type of file being transferred.

Works great. I use it as storage for videos that I access to essentually stream my videos and I've had no issues.

These drives are nice but a little noisy but for the price i can over look the sound

If you deal with a lot of photography of video, there is still a need for these spinning disks as SSDs get cost prohibitive quickly. This drive is about as speedy as can be expected, and is not too loud. It works well in raid configurations, which cheaper drives do not.

Great hard drive. Easy to setup. Sale price was awesome. good deal!
