My 1st scooter was a segway gl30 which was pretty amazing for cruising. I recently got a G3 which has all the bells and whistles. The build quality is so premium. The lights are bright and there are lights everywhere. Integrated turn signal are very bright and the sounds are pleasing to the ears. The front and rear suspension are so plush. I find myself looking for rough roads just to erase them. I recently upgraded my motorcycle with fox suspension which are pothole erasers. The suspension on the G3 are not that plush but for a scooter, amazing. Plus the fox suspension cost most more than the G3 itself. I can ride until the G3 is dead because it's comfortable. I couldnt do the same on the GL30. The electronics are intuitive and easily to get to. The app is very good and makes connecting to the G3 is quick without connectivity problems. Now be very, very careful with unlocking the sport mode with top speed and boost. If you're not prepared, the G3 will take off without you. This mode is not for children or the elderly. Great thing they they have walk, eco, and drive modes in which you can set and customize speed limits. If you're getting this scooter for a teen, i highly suggest to set speed limts. I highly recommend the Segway G3. If I could buy it again, i would have bought it yesterday. If Segway hit a homerun with the GL30, and G2, they smashed a grand slam with the G3.

The Good: Speed, Build, and Fun Factor This bad boy is a quality-built machine that feels sturdy and screams “I’m ready to roll!” With a top speed of 28 mph (thanks to its 800w motor, peaking at 2000W), it’s no slouch. It’s not going to keep up with the likes of the Inmotion RS or Kaabo Wolf GT—those are the twin-turbo Lambos of the scooter world—but the Max G3 is like trading in your Prius for a Porsche Cayman. It’s fast enough to make you grin like a kid on a sugar high, especially when you’re weaving through traffic or cruising to the gym. The dual spring suspension is a dream, soaking up bumps like a champ. I’m 6 feet tall, 240 lbs, and I haven’t bottomed out once, even on rough city streets. The 10-inch pneumatic tires provide solid stability and decent traction, whether you’re dodging road grit, tackling light rain, or (less successfully) venturing onto grass. The deck is grippy and sleek, though I wish it were a tad wider for my big feet—guess I’ll just have to perfect my scooter ballet stance. The onboard color display is bright and clear, showing speed, battery, and even a handy charge timer. I even tried the GPS function, which was surprisingly decent for basic navigation, though it’s not exactly Google Maps. The 551Wh battery charges faster than my phone (kidding), with a timer to let you know when you’re ready to roll. The battery life is, to put it bluntly, a buzzkill. Rated for about 50 miles under ideal conditions, I found it starts to taper off around 10-15 miles in real-world use (again, I’m a hefty 240 lbs). My old Segway Max G30 had a larger battery, and the difference is noticeable on longer rides. After 15 miles, the speed drops, and you’re left crawling along, dreaming of a power-up like in Mario Kart. Rumor has it an extended battery is coming this summer—fingers crossed it doesn’t eat up precious deck space. The brakes are another sore spot. The mechanical disc brakes work, but they’re rough around the edges, especially at speeds over 20 mph. After some grime builds up, they screech like a banshee auditioning for a metal band. Hydraulic brakes would’ve been a game-changer, but at this price point (around $900-$1000), I guess we’re stuck with the budget option. It’s not for long-distance warriors or folks who need top-tier brakes and lights out of the box. If you’re riding 20+ miles daily, look elsewhere—or wait for that extended battery. Final Thoughts The Segway Max G3 is a zippy, well-built scooter that’s an absolute blast for short to medium rides. Its speed, suspension, and app features make it a standout, but the battery life and brakes keep it from scooter superstardom. YOU WILL NEVER GET 50 MILE RANGE LIKE IT CLAIMS. THIS MIGHT BE TRUE FOR WALKING SPEED MODE. AT BEST IN SPORT MODE I'VE TRAVELED UNDER 20 MILE RANGE. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! I love the headlights, nice and bright. Comes with a nice accent light too. The underglows are amazing and change colors with the turn signals. The suspension is great and my knees don’t hurt even after 2.5 hours of runtime. Speaking of 2.5 hours, you can charge your scooter that fast if you buy the optional DC charger. (3.5 hours normal charging) The app features are great, and the custom sounds are fun to install. The battery is quite underpowered, in my opinion, but once the external battery is released, I’ll probably be able to go the full 28mph AND get the advertised 25mi range on sports mode. Overall, great scooter, weak battery life but remedied by future battery pack. The price of $1,000 when I bought the MAX G3 was the price of my other favorite scooter, the MAX G2. What a deal!

had the segway zt3 pro before and this g3 max is a big upgrade. This scooter feels a lot more comfortable off road with thr hydraulic suspension and i did not feel like i was loosing grip on the grass. The boost mode on this is crazy and the wheel pops up every time that i almost lost control and crashed when the wheel went back down. I have been riding for a few days and the range is very good since after 3 days of riding off road and on road at high speeds mostly in sport mode, i still have 68% battery left while with the zt3 pro i would have had to charge already. The zt3 pro does look nicer but i think this scooter looks a lot better than the g2 max.

I have put in over 120 miles on the G3 since I purchases 2 weeks ago. Not a single complaint. The G3 has performed flawlessly. My range has been slightly less than advertised but I am also 200lbs. The G3 has no issues propelling me down the road at maximum listed speeds. 5/5 Fun factor. Definitely take a couple of hours of riding before unlocking some of the additional performance. This can be a beginner scooter but quickly advances to intermediate with a couple of changes in the app. I like the FindMy and anti-theft features. Charging is super fast. Looking forward to additional battery capacity in the future.

Im really impressed how smooth the shocks are and it feels so nice to ride. The speed is crazy almost 30 mph and still feel extremely safe. I plan to purchase a helmet but still have not yet as I have rode scooters for 10 years now and feel pretty confident in my limits. Do yourself a favor and get this one the max G3! I almost got an ebike and love this for my commuter from my parking lot to my office.

Ride is butter smooth because of dual shocks. More power and no need worry about climbing steeps at all. In my community and town many steeps and thought of buying like this. Iam satisfied with build quality and performance. Hope i will have more rides and enjoy this summer. I definitely recommend this and love it❤️

Battery Life One of the highlights is definitely the long-range battery. I’ve only needed to charge it a couple of times in these 20 days — it easily covers my daily usage without worry. Segway’s claim of 40+ miles per charge is accurate, especially if you’re riding in eco or standard modes. Ride Quality The ride is smooth and stable, even over rougher pavement. The 10" tires do a great job absorbing small bumps. The wider deck gives a secure stance, and the brakes (both electronic and disc) are responsive and reassuring. I didnt know what to expect when I got the scooter but my expectations were exceeded. First of all its way faster than I expected, it’s pretty big too, which in my opinion is more comfortable but i got this for my wife because im planning on getting the gt3 pro, and after riding this I started questioning if I even need the gt3 pro because this is fine even for me, and im one who usually gets the best of the best. This scooter is more like a vehicle compared to your traditional cheap electric scooter. The boost mode is insanely fast and powerful, I honestly dont know who would even use it. When I first used it the front wheel jumped up because of the power, which i was definitely not expecting. The quality is top tier, and its just a very comfortable premium all around scooter. And after i first rode this I thought to myself , honestly $1000 for this is actually a steal for how good this scooter is. So if youve been eyeing this for a while wondering if it’s good enough for you, trust me it is!

I bought this because my wife and i love to ride bikes but i recently had my prostate removed because of cancer and could not sit on a bicycle seat at the moment. Since i know how much SHE enjoys riding bikes at the beach, i invested in this scooter. I knew segway was top of the line when it came to self balancing so i knew they would have all the kinks worked out of these, and boy do they? This is not a toy and it doesn't feel like a toy, it is VERY smooth with the big tires and shocks and had ALL the bells and whistles!! Try it, you'll love it!!

I upgraded to this about a month ago from another Segway scooter, MAX G2, and was definitely worth the upgrade. Battery last longer, barely feel anything with the suspension system, and better lights on it. Best buy had it in stock and was on sale so I saved a few hundred bucks and also was fast to be picked up curb side.

This scooter is the Mercedes of scooters. I use it daily to commute back n forth to work etc… it gets 25 miles in sport mode and 50 in basic mode. Charges super quick and honestly I’m a Segway fan for life now…
