Powerful and light hand vacuum

Two things summarize the Shark WandVac Power Pet: light and powerful. I think those are the two most important attributes for a hand vacuum, it needs to be easy to operate and carry, and be able to clean effectively. Also, light and powerful translates into a device that is not a bulky piece of equipment, it feels almost like holding a tube and easy to operate in some hard-to-reach areas (around car seats for example.) This versatile tool comes with two attachments to get rid of dirt on different kinds of surfaces. They did a good job at having a charging station where you place the two attachments for this device, so you have all in one place.
I’d say that the only two things to pay extra attention to are: the blinking power button (meaning that it needs recharge), and the trash container or dust cup (which is not too clear if it needs to be emptied/cleaned or not.) Look at the description on the box to get a glimpse of the capabilities of this little monster, and take a quick look at the Owner’s manual especially for maintenance tips and under what circumstances to NOT operate this device.
- Pros: powerful, light, not bulky, easy to operate.
- Cons: slow charging, messy trash disposal.
>> Suction power
I’ve used it on my sofas, chairs, tables, among others, with great results. I don’t need to use the bigger vacuum anymore if, for example, friends with pets have just left and I need to take a quick pass on the sofas. With the brush attachments, the Shark WandVac is able to swiftly get rid of dust from desks and tables. Vacuuming the inside corners of sofas and getting rid of those eyesore particles, is easy. Whenever, there are some areas harder to get rid of particles, switching to Boost mode does the trick, an extra power suction increase to the already powerful device.
To give the device some challenge I tried it on my SUV’s cargo area, which has from pet hair to construction debris, and it did a great job. Well, keep an eye on what the Owner’s manual say about what kind of materials not recommended to vacuum, in my case, the cargo area might have had some little drywall dust and ash (cannot tell now). I gave one section of the cargo area two passes, the first one was the regular mode, which left some debris behind and boost mode which trapped more debris. I also tried a different section of the cargo area with and without one of the brush attachments, the first pass without the brush attachments left some dirt, the second pass with the brush attachment, and most if it was gone!
>> Emptying the dust cup
Cleaning the dust cup (garbage container) is one inconvenience I found in this device. It is not something easy to do and it gets messy and your hands get dirty. It is also not easy to tell whether there is need to empty the dust cup or wait a little longer, I’ve found that sometimes although it looks like the device could take more dirt, upon opening the cup, I’d find a lot of particles that were not initially visible from the outside, and I would also notice that some particles could become entrapped in the small holes of the filter holder (a little trouble removing them but well if it protects the filter.) Just shaking the device with the dust cup open won’t release all the material in it, you need to use your fingers or something pointy to remove what is in there.
I was initially inclined to give this device a four (4) star rating because of these inconveniences (well I got a little mad and was thinking of a 3), but, after using it for a while, I don’t really mind having to do the extra effort to clean the dust cup and filter, if I am able to get a powerful device like this to help me with maintaining a neat home and car.
>> Battery
The device would blink whenever it needs to be recharged, at which point, if you need to have it fully charged, you’d need to wait for more than two (2) hours after placing it on the charging station and until the blinking stops (meaning fully charged.) This is not an ideal experience, so it seems that, if you want to have the device “ready” at all times, you’d need to always leave it at the charging station when not in use.
The battery lasts a decent amount of time, I’ve used it for around half an hour mixing regular and boost modes when vacuuming. For a hand vacuum device, that should be plenty of time to do the things a hand vacuum is good for or intended for.

The Shark - Wandvac Power Pet is a pretty amazing little piece of technology. I've bought and used other compact hand held vacuums in the past, and the batteries were always bad and suction wasn't great. This Shark Wandvac shows how far battery technology has come along, all while providing a strong vacuum suction for cleaning. They advertise that you can use it to clean up after your pet, pick up the fur they shed. The canister is kind of small on this handheld, so it is definitely made for small and quick / spot cleaning. I wouldn't recommend it as a sole do all vacuum cleaner, but it will definitely compliment your other cleaning supplies nicely. The wand vac is powerful enough to pull fur, lint, hair, crumbs from carpet, furniture, cloths, anywhere really. I love to take mine out to vacuum my car. The included crevice attachment with brush heads make cleaning in those hard to reach areas of my car very easy. I was able to clean up the floor mats, between the tight area of my car's seat and center console. I call it the abyss, because whenever I drop a French fry in there, it is gone forever lol. My hand definitely cannot squeeze in there. but I am able to slide in the crevice attachment of this hand held vac and clean between there. It is also great for "dusting" it is so light, and compact that I have been using it to clean dust that accumulates on my furniture, window sills and ceiling fans. I've also been using it to clean up after my niece and nephews when they come over. No matter how many times I ask them not to eat in the bedroom, or living room they leave crumbs all over the place lol. The wand vac is great for cleaning up food crumbs they leave behind everywhere. It's hard for me to say how long the battery lasts on a single charge, because I always put it back on its charging base when I am done using it. But I can definitely say that the battery will definitely last longer than five minutes with off and on use. The included charging base stand is great and a convenient way to stow it. My only complaint about it is that the base isn't very sturdy. I knock it over constantly when putting it / taking it out of its base. The vacuum has two speed settings, I do notice it get kind of warm when using it for extended periods. So I keep it on its normal setting majority of the time and turn it off before I move to the next area I am going to clean. The normal setting is strong enough for most cleaning jobs. Emptying and cleaning out the canister is very easy also. It has a quick release button and a removable filter that you can rinse and clean with water. I'll probably take it out and rinse it about once a week because the book recommends that you let it air dry for 24 hours before putting it back into the vacuum. Would I recommend this vacuum? Yes! It has a strong cleaning suction, battery lasts a long time, charges quick and is very easy to empty and clean after. And the fact that my nephews like using it lol, helps me out. They think its cool, and use it to clean up after themselves now when they make a mess. Win Win!

Shark’s Power Pet Hand Vac is a hand-held vacuum that’s good for quick cleanups and messes around the house. It’s a rechargeable unit that’s attractive and comes with pet and crevice attachments, and all of them sit in a charger stand neatly together.
The Power Pet is just under 1.5 pounds, is shaped like a tube/wand, and is said to have more power than a previous generation of the device, which seems to hold up to it’s claims. My neighbor’s Cat spends time in my house as he’s a drifter that bums off of several neighbors. While cute, he leaves behind a lot of Cat hairs and litter box flakes, too. The Shark does a good job picking these up and so far I haven’t found anything it can’t do on a basic hair/mess level. We tried it in two cars filled with the usual crumbs and dirt that cars accumulate, and it had no problem with those things as well with the proper included attachment, as the crevice tool makes it easy to get stuff out of those hard to reach areas, which has a flip-down brush, and a standard brush attachment is also included. The vac and attachments all sit neatly in an included charging stand.
It comes with a washable filter, and anything you suck up into it goes into a small container along the bottom. Press a button, and the container lid flops open so you can empty the contents into the trash. Now, the container is small and doesn’t hold much; some people complain about this, but this isn’t a home vacuum – it’s a quick “pick up the mess” type vac – really, it’s meant to be emptied after each use, or every-other use, though being a little larger wouldn’t have hurt. Battery life is “up to” 35 minutes per charge, but that’s if you use the eco-mode, which has it’s standard suction power and is good for basic things like crumbs on a hard counter or floor, etc., and there is a “boost” mode for even more power, but that will drain the battery in just a few minutes. Recharging is done in just a couple of hours or so. A pulsing light shows it’s charging and stops once it’s topped off. The battery is removeable so should you ever need to replace it, it’s possible.
Overall I’m very pleased with this. It’s smaller, sleeker, easy to handle, and more attractive than many other hand vacuums, and does work as advertised. Perhaps a little pricy for a hand vac, but sales happen regularly, so look for those. Recommended.

The Shark WandVac Power Pet cordless handheld vacuum Is a high quality, versatile and ergonomic household device.
In the box you get the vacuum, a charging dock base, a crevice tool, a pet hair tool and an accessory storage attachment which connects to the docking base.
The first thing I did was fully charge the vacuum in the base which took over 2 hours. A full charge from empty can take up to 3.5 hours. Once fully charged the vacuum will run for approximately 35 minutes depending on the mode in which you operate the vacuum. When you turn it on, it is set to Deep Clean mode which optimizes your battery. There is a power boost button for those times when you need additional suction. I found that Deep Clean mode was powerful enough for most cleaning situations.
To use the included accessories all you have to do is slide them on and off as needed.
Cleaning debris from the vacuum is as simple as pressing a button. The dust bin cover will pop open and the debris will fall out.
There is also an easily accessible filter located in the dust bin which can be removed and cleaned, and can also be rinsed under water.
When holding the vacuum in your hand you really appreciate the ergonomics. It is so light and well balanced that it does not create any hand fatigue. It is also very attractively designed so that you can leave it out anywhere in your house.
Due to its very slim design, it is also perfect for getting into all of the small spaces in your car.
The only criticism that I have is that I think it is a little too loud. However, that is probably due to the power that this small vacuum produces.
Overall I am very happy with this vacuum. It is high quality, very well designed and comes with all of the accessories you will need.
I would highly recommend this to everyone.

As my Dyson handheld had finally given up the ghost I was happy to put the Shark through its paces. Unboxing revealed a very svelte looking product and I was surprised by the lack of extension on the end of the vacuum but quickly realized that what’s the back two attachments were for. Key notes that I learned:
1. Do your best to always use an attachment. The end of the device gets fairly dirty but if you’re using an attachment it’s well covered so only the attachment gets dirty which is much easier to clean.
2. Make sure when you open the canister to empty it, you pull forward the small black filter housing. Just grabbing it from the bottom and pulling away lets it come free. This allows all the detritus behind it to fall into the trash can when you empty it.
In terms of performance this sucked up everything I threw at it. The angled attachment worked perfectly for under my counters and the larger brush attachment was great for going over a larger area. The smaller angled piece has a flip out brush that came in handy which helps for things like catching cobwebs and dust and such. Overall I feel like it’s a great replacement for my old system and the added attachments have already seen repeated use. Power remained consistent over the life of the battery and I used it for about 15 minutes cleaning under my cabinets without it dying.

Handheld Vacuum with some powerful suction!

I’ve owned and continue to use several Shark products, such as an older vacuum, which has served my household well for small debris, or light vacuuming. Having pets, it’s always been great to use, but required the use of attachments and some lifting to clean up furniture. It was also a bit difficult to use for tight spots in my vehicle, which meant I had to pull out the full size Vac with a hose attachment to handle some cleaning. So, when I had the chance to get a Shark WANDVAC, designed to be powerful, weighing less than 2 pounds, and claiming to be the “most power hand vacuum,” I immediately jumped on the chance.
In the box, you’ll find the hand vacuum, a charging stand, and accessory attachment for the stand, two nozzle attachments, a charging cable, and an owners manual. The stand and accessory holder attaches easily, providing support for the vacuum once it’s slotted in. The two attachments is a brush attachment called a “pet tool” in the manual, and a crevice tool for easier reach between seats. The crevice tool also has a small brush, which can be used to help with capturing dust.
The battery is already pre-installed and the vacuum is ready to go almost immediately. You don’t need to use the accessory attachments for basic vacuuming, making it easy to grab from the charger and vac up any slight mess around. I should note, that given the small size, the battery does only last about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on whether you’re extensively using the boost power. However, I didn’t find myself using this for long cleaning sessions, and more for small mess clean ups. It’s funny the illustration is of dog food, because most of my use was around picking up loose dog food on the couch, the bed, around their feeding area, and in the dog bed. It never once clogged up, and while the basket is small, found that it would hold a lot of small pieces of food, dirt, or pet hair.
I often found myself grabbing this from my office, and using it to clean up my car. The small size and the crevice tool, made it so much easier to vacuum loose dirt, pet hair, and even glitter that found it’s way into my rear seat from my nieces school poster. The boost function worked incredibly well when cleaning my car seats, and was grabbing debris I couldn’t reach with the car wash vacuums. I almost wish this came with a car power adapter, because I’d probably keep this in my SUV for easy clean ups.
The Pet Tool (brush head) attachment does a solid job capturing pet hair, which I would immediately pull and allow the vacuum to capture while finishing up light cleaning session. The handle has two buttons, one for power, and another for boost. The only time I really found myself using the boost mode, was when cleaning up around furniture to help capture hair or dander in crevices. It worked incredibly well picking up loose grass and dirt, but did require additional dispensing of the dust cup. While this does a great job picking up things, I found that emptying the dust cup did require some additional effort, which the small filter cup pulling upward (or downward depending on position) to assist with cleaning it out fully. I did find this to be the most annoying part of using the device, as I was rarely able to fully empty the dust bin by simply opening it. When you’re done with use, it simply slides into the charging stand and it’s ready for your next
Overall, this is probably one of the best hand held vacuums I’ve ever used. The small size makes it easy to place on a table or desk, it charges quickly, and the small filter was easy to clean after an extended use. You will find the vacuum will fill up quickly when picking up larger debris, but if you’re at that point you really should use a full size vacuum. I haven’t had a handheld since using a previous brands vac, which wasn’t the best experience. The Shark WANDVAC is an exception to this, providing some powerful suction regardless of the mess, while also doing a better job grabbing dog hair than my full size Vac.

First impression:
My first impression of the Shark WANDVAC was that it was small bug rugged. It was heavier than I thought it would be, but not too heavy to use. And the plastic is thicker and stronger than I thought it would be.
The WANDVAC comes with a charging base, a duster crevice tool, a pet tool, and an onboard accessory stand to hold the two attachments. It also comes with an owner’s manual that is well written and easy to understand.
The charging base and the onboard accessory stand clip together to provide a streamline stand to hold everything while also charging the vac. This allows you to store the vac is an easy to access place without taking up a lot of counter space.
Performance:
I tested the Vac with cat hair, small crumbs on the carpet, and small breadcrumbs and seeds that get into the outer crevise on our glass top stove. For the stove, it easily took care of removing everything out of the crevise on the stove. It also does a great job of removing crumbs and the like from the gap between the stove and the countertop. All it takes is a single everything bagel, and the top of the stove is covered in seeds. 15 seconds later and it is back to being clean.
Removing hair and crumbs off the carpet is fast and easy. This vac has enough power to remove anything small and light. It does a great job as a small vac, lifting debris much heavier than my last portable vac that costed much more money.
We have a 15 lb. 16-year-old tabby that sheds this time of year. All he must do is walk by and you have cat hair on your cloths and the carpet. And this is with brushing him every day. This vac did a great job in every attempt to remove the cat hair. And unlike others, I didn’t have to go over an area multiple times. First run removed it all.
Cleaning the vac is very easy. Pushing 1 button underneath opens the dust cup allowing the debris to fall out. The filter is easy to remove, and you can tap it lightly against the trash can to remove dust and debris. And if needed, the filter can be rinsed with water to completely clean and can be used again 24 hours after rinsing.
Conclusion:
I really like this Vac. It is small, durable, easy to clean, and does a great job for anything you want to remove with a portable vacuum. It won’t compare to a normal vacuum cleaner but is far superior to all of the other portable vacuum cleaners I have had in the past. I highly recommend the Shark WANDVAC.

Over all, not bad.
It is really not the WOW cordless vacuum cleaner. Not very necessary to own but handy when needed with very good suction and good battery life.
You need it if you have kids or pets and some small accidents that might happen here and there and you don't want to pull the big vacuum bazooka to clean the mess. It is very good for quick in-and-out cleaning mission with acceptable vacuum noise and suction. It is also coming with versatile innovative design adapters kit that is really amazing.
I have a cat that is not that messy but shedding hair very often (that time of the year). This Shark wireless vacuum is very helpful cleaning his sleeping spots, around sand box and even Milo (the cat) himself. The storage tank is very small. It would be full very fast so I'd recommend emptying it after every use. The arrangement stand is really nice and it looks nice on the kitchen counter or on the office desk (edge of the office). The Shark has 2 modes for suction power. The conventional one is very enough. The turbo boost will make it sound louder and more capable vacuuming but I don't see a real need for it.
This is not my first Shark vacuum cleaner machine. They all have a very StarWarz design or something from Sc-Fi movies shape. Kids love that! It is a good brand (after long time experience). They last very long and they are very solid build.
They claim that this is a good vacuum machine for cleaning cars! I can't agree a lot with that (so the -1 star). Adapter can't reach narrow areas and the suction is not good enough to pull dust between the fabrics materials. Also, adding to that, the air vents are not in a very good position. Maybe the best possible ones but still not very good.
I'd recommend it as high build, good vacuuming and long lasting battery. If you are looking for something like it, just go for this one.

I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a bit intense about keeping our apartment and my car clean. I usually do a full clean of both weekly. For quick pickups in between, the Shark Wandvac is my new best friend. Between my husband and our Beagle, I’m not quite sure who is messier. My husband tends to leave bits of wrappers in the kitchen and crumbs both on and below his office desk. Our Beagle loves to leave stuffing all over the apartment as he’s destroying his toys. Not to mention the short hair that gets EVERYWHERE. I’m perfect of course and NEVER make messes anywhere… The Shark Wandvac has had zero issues cleaning up all of these messes. It has plenty of suction and dustbin space and is thin enough to get between narrow spaces, like the one between washers and dryers where lint inevitably collects. The attachments are great for reaching under car seats and “dusting” more delicate surfaces like shelves, gaming consoles, etc. It all stores nicely on its dock, which keeps the vacuum charged and ready for the next time you need it. I’m really happy I got ahold of this little vacuum and would highly recommend it to anyone else who is crazy about cleanliness.

This hand held vac is really small and easy to hold. The size also makes it very easy to get to hard to reach places without the vacuum body getting in the way too much. However, it just doesn't do enough for me to recommend buying it if you already have a cordless vac that doubles as a hand held. It's slightly more convenient, but the performance isn't better, so I can't really see myself using this vacuum that often.
The attachments are pretty unremarkable. One is a crevice tool with a brush you can slide out and the other is supposed to be a pet hair brush. The crevice tool works fine, but the pet hair brush really does nothing. I tried to vacuum my couch cushion after my cat laid on it, and it really just moved the hair around. It clumps it up so I can pick up the clump and make sure it goes in the vacuum, but the brush should already get it. This really needs a powered spin brush (the only attachment that I find actually works on pet hair).
I use this mainly on my stairs, but the airflow is kinda aimed up and outward, so as I head up the stairs, the pet hair on the next stair up kinda blows around and I have to quickly make sure it doesn't blow away. It should probably blow towards you, and I think most do, as I don't have this problem with any of my other handhelds.
This vacuum also lacks any kind of display or battery life indicator, so you really have no idea how much battery you have left. I think it blinks when it's really low, but then it dies pretty quickly after. The other thing that I don't like is that the hair and dust get trapped around the filter cup, so you have to reach in the dust bin, pull out the filter cup, and then pull out the yucky stuff. I'd rather not have to do that every time.
All in all, not a terrible product, but I can't really recommend it. Just another device that I have to keep charged somewhere in my house on the off chance I may actually need it.

I ended up picking this up for one of my parents who has some physical limitations. It's been great for her to use in that it is lightweight.
It's perfect for using on furniture, baseboards and even on bedding and such. Pretty much everything we've used it on, it's been perfect. It's a big help with using in my car due to it's lightweight and compact form. If there's a spot you can't get to with a larger vacuum this is a perfect option.
It's pretty darn quiet too. We've had some lighter vacuums from other companies and they were pretty loud. It not silent by any means but it's not near as loud as some others.
As for power, despite being such a small device, it's quite potent. I would go so far as to try to suck up a bowling ball, but it will get the job done with ease.
Battery life is pretty good too again for it's size. You can easily get enough done in an hour. It also charges pretty quick. We've only used it a handful of times due to the aforementioned physical limitations. I really think this strikes a perfect balance. It pairs well with the other Shark vacuum we've got so it makes it easy enough to tackle two different kinds of jobs.
I'd definitely recommend it if you're in need of something small and light.

The Shark Wandvac cordless hand vac works very well for what it is designed for.
Suction power is good and I found that I can easily suck up spilled dry pet food and cat litter. It also works well in tight places like vehicles. We will be using this compact vacuum in our pop up camper because it is so small and light and perfect for travel.
There are two included tools. There is a crevice tool of sorts that is probably a little too wide to qualify as a crevice tool. This tool has a flip up brush on the end so the tool can either be used with a brush or not. The second tool is a small square brush tool. Shark intends this to be used to help pick up pet hair but I found that the hair just got caught up in the brushes and never made into the vacuum itself.
There are a couple design choices that I question. First, you can use the vacuum without either of the tools attached, but doing so leaves the charging contacts on the vacuum susceptible to dust and dirt the could eventually cause charging issues if the contacts wear down. Second, I was hoping the charger could be mounted on a wall, but the base can only be set on a flat surface.
All in all a good vacuum for the intended use.

Exactly What I Needed For Cordless Hand Vacuuming!

Was happy to receive the Shark WV410 Wandvac Power Pet Cordless Hand vacuum as I had areas that I knew it would come in real handy for. It weighs just about 1.5 pounds so was easy on my arm and hand. Upon opening the box it was very simple to put together - basically all in just a couple of minutes. Included is a charging dock, handheld vacuum wand, onboard accessory storage attachment (which you need to slip on the back of wand for stability), a duster crevice tool and a pet tool. The 2 attachments simply sit in their proper places on the storage attachment and it's set up, ready to go. I ran the power cord through the bottom as there is a groove that keeps it in place. I then plugged it in and charged about 4 hours. You can leave this vacuum plugged in continuously so its always charged and ready to use without harming the battery life. There is a round white power button on the wand in front that slowly blinks until its fully charged then turns solid.
The on and off switch button is on the handle and a Boost button below that for the Deep Clean mode. When using the Deep Clean mode I found the battery remained charged about 14 minutes, so for longer usage I found the normal Eco mode works perfectly with plenty of adequate suction and has about 1/2 hour run time.
I used this to actually dust my house - on tables and other pieces of furniture, picture frames, etc. Especially worked wonders on my carpeted basement steps! No more dragging my heavy corded vacuum around to accomplish that task! It picked up crumbs and other little items of dry cat food without a hitch. You can see when the dust cup is full and ready to be emptied. So after use you will need to empty the dust cup by depressing a yellow switch and holding it over a trash can. I suggest wiping out the cup with a dry cloth to help keep it cleaner inside. When the included filter needs cleaning you have to remove the dust cup and pinching both sides of filter you pivot upward to access it. Place over a trash can and there is a metal ring on top of the filter to help remove from the housing. Just tap it lightly to remove dirt and rinse with water only. Be sure to let the filter air-dry for at least 24 hours or completely dry before reinstalling.
I have had no blockage issues whatsoever with mine but if you do notice a noise change while vacuuming check for blockages or objects that might be caught in the vacuum. There are instructions in the owner's manual for this. The manual also has an excellent Troubleshooting section which is most helpful if you need it. Shark made this vacuum so easy to use and future fix so keep that manual just in case!
There are other available accessories you can purchase. However for this particular model it seems to be just the wide upholstery tool and a replacement battery. The tools that came with mine are sufficient and overall I am very pleased with its performance. It's not the quietest hand vacuum around but it sure does a great job of picking up things I need it to. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this very useful small household vacuum and love the fact its cordless. Worked awesome cleaning inside my car too!!

There is a simplicity to this little vacuum that I really appreciate. It has two buttons, one for power, and the other a toggle for boost mode. Last it has a latch for unlocking the dust trap on the underside to dump out the contents it picked up. There are two included attachments, one for a wider area with a brush at the end, and the other is an extension of the end of the vacuum with a flip up brush at its tip. The two extra parts have little mounting points on the charging station that the handheld drops into for storage and charging, and once you find a suitable place for it all it is very compact and unassuming. The vacuum itself is shockingly lightweight yet very powerful for its size. It is well balanced making it easy to hold and maneuver into tight spaces. That is the strong point for it is tight spaces like in your car or corners of stairs or furniture. Being so small it does not have much room to store the debris so you either must plan on emptying it often or using it sparingly for the small areas a larger vacuum could not easily get to. I have been able to get it around and under the seats of my vehicles and use it regularly for cleaning up the nooks of my stairs where my dogs leave hair all the time. It is so easy to grab off the dock and get to work that it makes me feel more inclined to do so for even the smallest and quickest messes. I store it right next to my larger stick vacuum so it’s easy for me to get to and keeps everything of similar jobs in the same place. Battery life is great I typically have to empty the reservoir many times long before being at risk of running out of battery life. And when I am done just drop it back onto the dock so it's always ready to go. With the wide head attachment, it works great for clearing couches and other furniture of dog hair, and the smaller attachment gets into the small spaces like my stairs. It is also very quiet especially considering its suction power. I am very impressed with how well it works and how easy it is to use. For pet owners who need to get hair and dust out of all their corners or anyone who wants to be able to clean small spaces quickly and easily this is a must have and I highly recommend it.

The Shark WV410 Wand Vac is a great little device for those necessary quick clean ups. It’s super handy for the car. The small crevice tool with a pop up brush is ideal for those tight corners on mats and carpet, between and under the seats, and for the trunk. On one full charge I was able to vacuum 3 car interiors and a trunk before running out of juice. In the house I love it for quick pickups of messes on tile, carpet, and furniture. The upholstery brush is made for removing pet hair on furniture and cushions. At first I was hesitant about the long skinny design but using it I soon learned to love the extra length to reach corners without having to bend down as far as other handheld vacs.
The power is good on the regular setting but pushing the Boost button increases it even higher. Boost will use more battery, so I use it only when needed. This model does have a removable battery. This would make it feasible to buy a spare if you needed more run time. The included battery is a 14.4 volt 1900mah Li-ion, so it’s not a small capacity battery.
This model is not wall mountable; it’s designed to sit on a shelf or a table. The dirt cup is small so it will likely need emptying after each use. Thankfully that’s a quick and simple task. Just hold over the garbage can and push the “yellow” slider on the bottom. The bin pops open and the dirt falls out. Inside the dirt bin is a dark perforated rectangular sleeve that contains a pleated filter. It’s easy to remove and wash the pleated filter when needed. It’s a pretty neat and easy design to keep the Vac operating at peak power.
CONCLUSION: I find this Shark to be a well designed and compact vacuum. It’s very powerful for its size, and has a decently long run time before needing charging. The included attachments are useful and versatile. They store easily on the tray with the vac while it re-charges. In a perfect world, a wall mount option would be nice but with the table top design you won’t have to take the time to find wall space and drill holes. The unit is a little pricey, but I would recommend this product.

Our family switched to one of the larger stick vacuums, but even in that form factor, we found ourselves reaching for the broom when cereal or kibble spilled in the kitchen. It's just too unwieldy, heavy, and far away to lug down the vacuum. Along comes the Shark WandVac. We've found a great place to locate the base near the washer/dryer downstairs, so it's always conveniently located for dog and kiddo spills. What Shark has done is take all the great things about Dustbuster of yesteryear and update it with 21st century technology. You're not searching for the charging cable because there's a great dock. You're not searching for the attachments because they dock right alongside the vacuum. And the form factor is just simply excellent.
It's strong enough to pick up sizable adult dog food kibble and its dustbin is large enough to handle just about everything my kids and pups have thrown at it. We've used it a number of times, but I still haven't found the end of the battery life. I don't think I ever will. Obviously, you're not vacuuming your carpets with this thing. It's there to be there when you need it to suck up those pesky messes you'd normally just grab the broom and dustpan for.
Finally, it's dead simple to operate. A couple buttons, one to power up, one for suction. The attachments help for couch spills and are great for vehicle cleaning as well.
As an aside, one thing families might want to consider is keeping it out of reach of their kids. There's nothing dangerous about it, but it's so cool looking and kids obviously love chasing each other and the dog with it. We learned pretty quickly to let them have their fun with it, but keep it out of their reach for the most part. Thankfully, though, the kids will actually fight over who cleans up the spilled cereal now because of how fun it is for them. Even our 3 year old can figure it out, and she might be the most active user, given her propensity for messes.

Received the Shark Wandvac power pet cordless hand vac and have been using it for almost a week. First impression out of the box was how sleek and extremely lightweight it is compared to my old hand vac. The charging dock is low profile and well made with two slots to store the two attachments and a third slot where the vacuum sits and charges. The dock with attachments and vacuum seated takes up very little space and no extra charger needed.
As for performance, it has been excellent so far. We have used it to clean up loose dog hair on our couches. Using the regular mode did a great job and was noticeably much quieter than other hand vacs.
With the included attachments we were able to brush the couch cushions and easily get between each cushion and remove dog hair and crumbs. This was on standard power. Once we activated boost mode it appeared to pull hair that was stuck in the fabric and really did a great job. It was a bit louder with boost activated but that was expected.
Also used it in the back of my car where there was sand from our beach trips over the summer. Used boost mode and the larger brush attachment which made clean up simple and did a great job.
I have yet to find a job where I ran out of power. To test battery life I made sure to charge it full and used it without putting it back on the base. Based on that I estimate I have had over 20 minutes of battery life which is plenty considering it is for spot jobs and not meant to clean a whole house.
And as far as cleaning, you simply hit the button and the dust cup opens and empty’s. I did find that some of the hair did get stuck and didn’t fully empty. Had to reach in with my finger and get what was stuck but it did come right out once I loosened it so it really wasn’t a big deal for me.
Overall, this has been a great new tool and I am very happy with this Shark handvac. Does what I need it to do and does it better than I anticipated. All around great product and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I love this thing. The battery on it lasts a long time. Suction is powerful with a boost button for those stubborn ground in bits. The included attachments make dusting super easy.
The first thing I did with this was use to it to dust a bunch of stuff; back of the tvs, back of a fan, mechanical keyboard, tiny shelves ... pretty much any place where using a traditional full-sized corded vac is difficult if not impossible. It worked great.
The second thing I did was take it out to the car and get at all of those hard to reach places. Picks up pet hair, dirt, and rocks* with ease. It's a great tool for dusting/cleaning everything in your car interior.
The blue color looks great, it's dark enough to fit any décor, but since it has a glossy finish you'll want to wipe it down after every few uses (depending on how dirty it gets). The base is stable enough, and the attachments you get are, overall, pretty versatile for most jobs. I would've liked something with a rotating head on it, because the angle at which the vac rests in the charging base is the angle at which you'll be using it. Not a huge problem, but when I was dusting the dashboard in the car there were just some areas that were impossible to get at. No big deal considering the overall quality of the product and ease of use, but it's one or two tweaks away from perfection.
I really like that the battery is removable, and presumably replaceable as well. It seems to charge pretty quickly - mine reached a full charge after about 20 minutes right out of the box. I also love how easy it is to open and clean the collection bin, but I really wish the filter basket was removable because ...
* Yeah I should've read the manual first, but as it turns out you're not supposed to vacuum up rocks, specifically tiny rocks, which are exactly what tends to accumulate on your car floor mats. So just in case you're thinking about using his in the car be aware that this will cause problems.
The problem here is that the filter basket has tiny holes that filter out larger debris. This is great, but the downside is that it's very easy for tiny loose bits of gravel and whatnot to get stuck in them and due to the way the basket tilts out (it's not fully removable) it can be almost impossible to get them unstuck. Luckily have a screwdriver set with a tiny pokey bit that I was able to use to pry all of the loose bits out, but yeah. Just avoid vacuuming anything where tiny stones might be hiding.
Overall I love this thing and would definitely recommend it to anyone with pets, kids, spill-prone individuals, or car owners. It's perfect for a lot of jobs and nearly perfect at a bunch more. I am gonna have to ding shark on this a little bit because of the non-removable filter basket. That design choice was made for a reason, but it makes vacuuming up a tiny bit of rock or gravel (something that will definitely happen at some point) a potential disaster. Still overall a great product, and one that I've used more times than I can count in the week or so since I've had it.

The Sharp Wandvac WV410 is the 2nd iteration of the portable handheld vacuum that has been quite popular. This new version has a lot of improvements over the older one and makes it a more versatile compact unit.
The first thing I noticed when I got this vacuum is how light, small, and consequently ergonomic the design is. Like all shark vacuums, the build quality is superb even though the whole unit is made with plastic. The material is sturdy and seemed to withstand the regular rough handling when trying to vacuum some weird crevice. I never felt it’ll get damaged, which is not the case with a lot of these handheld vacuums.
The unit comes with 2 attachments, however there’s no powered attachment. A charging base, which also acts like an attachment holder, is included and importantly has a small footprint. This helped me to set it up in a convenient location, and made sure the unit is getting charged after stow. Another good feature which I found quite significant is the use of detachable battery. Thus if the battery fails after it’s charge cycle has been used up, I don’t need to throw away the vacuum. Also if I need to use it more frequently, I can get a second battery (and charger) to swap on the job. I really love this feature.
In terms of performance, I never thought this will replace my larger, corded units - you can only do so much with a small cordless unit - but I’m definitely impressed. Being a pet owner, I am constantly cleaning up dog hair and scattered food stuff all over the house, and for that purpose this has been working perfectly. The unit storage for dust and debri is small due to the form factor, but the hinge design for dumping these made it a breeze, and moreover it’s almost a no-touch solution. Thus, it’s quite easy to clean which again is something I miss in some of my other handheld vacuums. The vacuum is not the noisient out there, and the suction power is not extraordinary, but for the size and useability they are more than adequate.
Overall I’m quite impressed what Shark is delivering with the WV401 and I’m using it practically everyday. Without going overboard with features and design, the Wandvac provides provides the one thing I look for in a handheld vacuum - ease of use. The only wish I had is the inclusion of a powered attachment.

This is a great little vacuum to use for your kitchen and small clean ups. It comes with a charging adapter and a stand for the vacuum and attachments. The stand needs to be put together completely for the vacuum to balance in it. The bottom of the stand allows you to feed the cables from different sides to fit in your kitchen or room.
We fully charged this and it still has plenty of battery and power over a week later. We haven’t used it too often but this will get more use in the future when we need it. The vacuum has a mode for a little extra power if you need it. This was tested out and wasn’t needed for our small cleanups. It’s nice to know that it’s there if we ever need it!
Emptying the vacuum is easy; just pull the switch and the container will open up. Cleaning it out is extremely easy, you might have to pull out any pet hairs that are stuck in there. One nice thing about this vacuum is that you can the filter out and wash it as well.
This little vacuum is a little on the noisy side. It is probably noisy due to how powerful this tiny thing is. The sound doesn’t bother me at all, but might for some others.
This is a great product for picking up pet hair and other kinds of small messes. You can’t use this for liquids, only dry items like crumbs, hair, etc. I personally like this product a lot and recommend it if you are ok with the price.
