I bought these for work, and I’m really happy with them! They don’t fall out, don’t let sweat/rain get past and into my ear, and the battery lasts long enough to last me the whole week! They do have a tendency to connect even when in the case, which can be annoying when I’m not using them. But otherwise, they’re great!

The headphones are super comfortable, easy to use, with a battery that lasts all day, with a case that recharges them when you store them and at a very good price, the best I have had so far.

Upgraded to these from the jib true XT and for only a few dollars more they are soo worth it! You can play with an eq in them through the Skull-iQ app, they tell you the battery percentage when you put them in your ear, they have a sensor that knows when you pick them up out of the case and auto connects from being off, can track lost earbuds(haven’t tried it) and soo many more features! I absolutely love these and if they ever wear out I will purchase another set! Very happy with my purchase

I honestly didn't expect much out of these, but they're really good for the pricing. The Bluetooth does cut out from time to time and reconnect with a glitch sound, but with the tile tech to find em when they're lost, and the skullcandy app giving you more options and customizations I'd say it's almost a 5 star product. I'd buy these again if they were on clearance or on sale.

My first wireless buds. Couldn't initially justify spending big prior to experiencing for myself. However, after using these for a couple months now, I kinda get it. The fit is not comfortable after wearing for about 20-30 minutes, no matter which size I used. Sound quality is meh. Nothing dynamic. Decent noise canceling. I've always really liked Skull Candy but I'm definitely left wanting more. Not sure how high up the spending ladder I gotta go but these aint it. The search continues.

Tl;dr: Light weight, active noise cancellation, Skullcandy design and sound, decent sounding buds designed for use in all weather conditions. Long battery life. Tile locating built in. Full review: True Wireless earbuds have become commonplace, but remain a marvel of miniature engineering. Much like wired earbuds before them, there’s a variety of sound qualities and compromises that each manufacture makes. My experience with Skullcandy earbuds suggests they have a signature sound. These buds match that sound and add a range of features not found on most of their competitors. Sound: The overall sound is decent with a slight bass emphasis. The mid tones are a little muddied but still passible. Even with classical music, they do a decent, but not outstanding job delivering across the spectrum. They have excellent isolation which delivers a nice, clean bass tone. Rock music definitely rocked when wearing these.. Isolation: The earbuds provide excellent isolation from the outside world which increases the perceived bass and overall definition. In addition, the active noise cancellation works very well to reduce the noise of what’s going on around you. While mowing the lawn I could barely hear the mower motor. I definitely did not hear my daughter calling from the back deck. Perhaps it was a little too good? Active Noise Cancellation: The Grind has built in ANC, but doesn’t allow you to turn it off. Despite that, battery life was exceptional, considering the small size of the buds. It has a “world aware” function which will pipe ambient noise through the earbuds, similar to a hearing aid. This works OK if what you’re listening for is close by. Otherwise, the noises are dampened by the earbud isolation. This way you can keep listening to music or a podcast while being aware of surroundings. Making the world disappear is easy with just a couple of taps. The app lets you personalize the controls for ANC and several other functions. This has been very effective on the days I work from home and can reject other conversations taking place around me (if I choose). Microphone/Calls: The Grind has one of the best microphones I’ve found on true wireless buds. My voice was clear and loud to callers both inside and outside. Ambient noise issues were minimal with some callers not even realizing I was using earbuds. This was nearly the quality of the boom mic/headset I use at my office. Very impressive! Comfort: Skullcandy is not known for prioritizing confort. They continue to execute on that brand philosophy. The set comes with 3 size options. The standard one was comfortable and blocked sound wel, but felt a little tight in my ears after a while. This may have been from sound pressure created by the ANC, rather than the silicon collar. They never felt close coming out, even after lots of movement. When I did want to remove them, they came out quickly and easily. They easily snap into the case with a small magnet. Another magnet keeps the case closed. Battery Life: The case charges quickly from a USB-C output. The earbuds charge quickly as well. You can use either ear bud independently of the other for virtually continuous sound. In 3 hours with the buds on, they only drained to 70% (based on the app). On that basis, they should easily last for the 9 hours claimed on the box. The case charges the buds 3 times before needing a recharge itself. It comes with a cute cord which will fit a USB-A port with either “up” or “down.” Build/Water: The buds are incredibly light, as is the case. So much so that I often don’t notice when they’re in my pocket. They’re also barely noticeable in my ears. The control buttons on each ear are responsive with minimal pressure. However, a couple of times I felt like I was pushing the bud into my ear more than I’d like. Controls can be used for pause, skip track, and volume. These can be customized completely in the app. They’re advertised as being water resistant. In moderate sweat situations, I noticed no issues. App / Special Features: Skullcandy has, by far, the most customization I’ve seen for buttons, as well as other features such as voice control. Saying ‘Hey Skull candy’ (quite a mouthful) lets you pause, play, change volume, change tracks, open apps, or use your phone’s assistant (Siri or Google Assistant). All these functions can also be assigned to a button push combination (i.e. 3 clicks to raise volume, Press and hold to access assistant). The buttons revert to default if you connect to a device without the app. Unfortunately, the equalizer options are not as robust. There’s broad categories for “Music” or “Podcasts”, but not much refinement if you like balanced vs. punchy music. I believe this goes back to wanting to deliver the signature sound for which Skullcandy is already known. The company realizes that music is often social and has created a ‘Share’ mode for these to share with other Skullcandy users (all sets, not just Grind). While many phones have the capability as well, it’s nice to have the extra option. They also add the ability to find the earbuds using Tile. I was able to easily add the buds (left and right separately) to my existing Tile account. I was happy about this as I recently lost one one buds to a nice Sony set I’d had, in part leading me towards acquiring these. Overall: Skullcandy made some good sounding earbuds that get the job done. While they’re more convenient to use than other buds, the sound quality leave me wanting more. They’re fine for workouts, podcasts, or passive listening, but I would not recommend them to anyone wanting the most from their music.

It's hard to count all the various earbuds I've owned over the years. I've had really expensive ones (only to lose them) and really cheap ones that wouldn't stay in my ears. ENTER: Skullcandy Grind True Wireless Earbuds. A well thought through product that is affordable and packed with features of more expensive models! I mainly use earbuds for working out, performing housework or yardwork or going for a walk with the dogs. Just pop these earbuds in and away I go. The feel solid in my ear and I'm not constantly reaching up to adjust their position or push them in a little farther. FYI - they come with 3 sizes of gel ear cups so you can find the size that fits you best. The Skull-iQ Smart Feature Technology makes changes songs or volume easy with voice commands. You ever try to find the volume buttons on your current earbuds and mistakenly click the button to advance songs? Annoying, huh....well no worries with that! "Hey Skullcandy - volume up - or next - or pause - or play - or Spotify, etc. With over 40 hours of total battery life (including the charging case) you can easily take on a short trip. IP55 Sweat and Water resistance make them great for working out. Built-in Tile technology makes it easy to find them - something I've already used more times that I like to admit. Stay current with firmware and feature updates with the Skullcandy App. Overall - very pleased and these are my current go-to earbuds.

Skullcandy - Grind True Wireless In-Ear Headphones are a welcome accessory to any mobile device. The size easily fits into the pocket and has wireless charging to boot. I was impressed with the charging case right out of the box. The fit of buds in the ear was good as well. The battery life is not too bad, exactly around 9 hours on a full charge. Case charges with the USBC are included in the package or quickly charged wirelessly. As far as the sound quality, they have skull IQ technology. It works pretty well with that companion app available in the app store, giving you voice control to play music and other functions on your smart device. Making it possible to control apps like Spotify skip tracks are just volume many other options. Noise-canceling is available, but it's not the best. It's quite a bit of adjustment in my ear to block out outside sounds. I wear these on my run, so they are water-resistant and resistant, making them pretty ideal when you're out and about listening to your tunes. Overall a nicely price for a decent pair of buds!!!

It seems to me that the first thing to emphasize is the price of the product which seems to me a success, plus it fulfills its purpose correctly. The unboxing takes a couple of minutes and is very easy, everything is in sight, a quick guide, the case with the headphones, the cable. Regarding the design and aesthetics, the reality is that it is not a highly aesthetic product, the headphones are a little big and already placed in the ears protrude a little but it is a matter of taste. The case is relatively small but bulky, plus on the inside comes engraved information of certifications and the like that make the aesthetics decay a little more. What definitely does not convince me is the charging cable that is too short when charging the case you have to place it very close to the device and personally I do not like it, fortunately I have a longer cable and use that instead of the one that comes included. Regarding the performance the headphones sound good, clear and loud but it is evident the lack of bass and if you only use the headphones without the app the options are limited, which brings me to the next point, the app. The mobile application offers the option to customize the headphones and improve the audio depending on the kind of content being consumed at the time, I recommend downloading the app to improve the experience. The headphones have the Stay Aware Mode function which is similar to the transparency mode of other devices, the difference is that these headphones do not have noise cancellation but it allows you to use the headphones and know what is going on around you. This option can be activated / deactivated from the headphones with a tap or from the app, regarding the shortcuts on the headphones as mentioned above it is advisable to customize them from the app as the default settings in my opinion is a bit confusing. It is possible to control by voice with preset commands but I think it is not the most optimal and will depend on the needs of each person. In daily use I noticed that when you remove one of the headphones the music does not stop and the headphone that is removed continues reproducing sound, in addition the bluetooth connection is sometimes lost, I think it is a matter of updating the firmware, I also noticed that the autonomy is great, the battery lasts a long time and if you use a headphone at a time can last even longer. In summary, these wireless headphones for the price seem to me convenient however you have to consider what kind of needs are the ones we want to cover because in the market there are options that can be more convenient paying a little more, however if these headphones are for day to day and do not require noise cancellation or more features and you want a good autonomy I can recommend them.

The SkullCandy Grind comes with a charging case, three sizes of silicone ear tip pairs, and a short 5 inch USB-C charging cable. The case for the earbuds is somewhat compact with sleek rounded corners and edges, a matte-black finish, and a small embossed skull logo on the lid. It’s pocketable but a bit bulky compared to what I’m used to. It has a clamshell design with a magnetic latch, and the lid opens and closes smoothly, though I found the hinge tends to snap closed a little too easily. The USB-C charging port sits at the back of the case and has a tiny LED just above it that flashes when the case is charging and is solid white when the case is fully charged. There’s no wireless charging for the case, so you won’t be able to just place it on a charging pad. When you open the case, four battery LED indicators illuminate for 3 seconds to show its remaining battery life in 25% increments. The earbuds are advertised to last up to 9 hours of playback, depending on usage, and the case can additionally charge the headphones fully over 3 times for a total of 40 hours of playback time. The earbuds are IP55 waterproof-rated for resistance to sweat and water but should not be fully submerged, and the case is not waterproof-rated. These earbuds don’t have active noise canceling, but I found the passive noise isolation to be pretty good at reducing ambient and background noise once I got a good seal with the appropriate sized ear tips. However, I have pretty small ear canals and even the smallest ear tips caused me a bit of discomfort after about an hour of use. I did, however, find that they stayed in my ears better if I turned them slightly toward the back of my head after putting them in. Magnets hold the earpieces in the case and keep them from falling out when the lid is open until you lift them out. When the ear buds are removed from the case, they turn on automatically, pair to one another, and then try to connect to a previously paired device within range. They’ll also announce the battery life remaining (in 10% increments) after about 10 seconds. There is no way to shut the earbuds off other than placing them back into the case, and they don’t seem to go to “sleep,” even if they remain unpaired. One thing that bothered me about these is that if they’re actively playing sound, taking them out and putting them in the case doesn’t disconnect and turn them off. In fact, they’ll continue to output sound even when in the case! Other times, I’ll stop playback and place them in the case, only to discover that they reconnected to the phone after I closed the lid and continued to output sound after I had put them away. I think this has to do with the fact that the right earpiece often doesn’t seem to seat fully on the charging contacts and thus doesn’t always shut off. The sound from the Grind is good but isn’t the highest fidelity listening experience. The clarity is nice, though it tends to feel soft in the mid-ranges, and the dimension is a bit flat sounding with a soundstage that’s narrow and closed in. At higher volumes, the upper registers start to sound over sibilant and a bit crunchy. The overall balance is pretty nice without any EQ applied. When you switch into “music” EQ mode in the SkullCandy app there’s a greater emphasis in the treble and bass ranges and bass reproduction was surprisingly full. You can also use these headphones for hands-free calls and mic and audio clarity was fine, but I didn’t find these earbuds great for watching videos, however, since there is some latency and delay between what you see on your device’s screen and the audio being played. It’s not long but definitely noticeable, and I found the trailing audio to be distracting. There is a “stay-aware” mode that uses the microphones on the earbuds to pick up and pass through ambient noise to your ears, allowing you to hear what’s going on around you for better situational awareness. I found that this feature actually worked pretty well and allowed me to hear things around me that I otherwise couldn’t hear clearly with the earbuds in. To use the physical controls for playback, single, long, or double-press the outside of the on the right and left earpieces to play/pause, change the volume, skip tracks, take photos, activate an AI voice assistant, toggle Stay-Aware mode, or launch Spotify. You can customize which actions perform these functions in the app. Since the earpieces simply sit in your ear canal with no other support, I found pressing the buttons on the earpieces to be quite uncomfortable unless I used two fingers, with one on the back side, to prevent them from sinking deeper into my ears. Thankfully, you can also control the earbuds using the app on the synced mobile device or issue voice commands with the wake words “Hey SkullCandy.” You do, however, have to open the app first to allow it to run in the background, if you want to use voice commands. The app also lets you switch between four EQ modes: music, podcast, movie, or custom and each one has a reasonably distinct sound profile. But I did not like that the volume control doesn’t affect the volume of the audible notifications, like the mode changes and battery life. I also wasn’t able to get the launch “Spotify” action to work on my Android phone, neither with the physical button nor the voice commands, and you cannot change the streaming music service from Spotify to any other, for example, to Pandora or YouTube music. There is built-in Tile locator functionality for each ear bud and setting it up by adding the device to your Tile account is simple and straightforward. If you ever misplace one or both earbuds, even if they’re in the case, just hit ‘Find’ in the Tile app, and they’ll make an audible chirping sound to help you locate them (as long as Bluetooth on your phone is on, the earbuds still have some battery life and you’re within Bluetooth range of them). I think it’s a neat feature that would definitely come in handy. Overall, the sound quality of the Grind was decent, and I think it sounds good for listening to music, podcasts, or hands-free calling. You can customize key press actions and EQ settings in the app, and the built-in Tile locator means you’re less likely to lose them. However, the video/audio sync issue made these less than ideal for watching video, and I had issues with them failing to shut off completely or inconveniently connecting to my phone while in the charging case. I also couldn’t get the Spotify feature to work at all on my phone and voice control was sometimes hit or miss with the wake phrase. While these sport a long battery life and the case provides multiple charges, you do need to plug the case in every so often, and I found, for me, they weren’t super comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

first time owning a Skullcandy earbuds, Grind is $79 wireless earbuds which also claim up to 40 hrs of play time. first impression the casing felt very cheap but then again I won’t be asking too much for an $80 dollar earbuds but I definitely had a different brand that’s about the same price, and the quality feels much better than this. pairing to your phone was simple enough, it’s IP55 for sweat and water resistant, so if you’re a sweaty person in the gym, having these should be a problem, you also get couple different sizes of earcups to choose from for perfect fit. Skullcandy also offer their own app specifically for customizing your Grind. it’s a very robust systems, these earbud support voice recognition to connect to spotify, and ofcourse to pick up calls as well. what’s great about the app is the ability to track your earbud connecting it with Tile app, I do wish a lot more company would do this feature. skullcandy grind feature touch controls but I feel like there is so much to remember if you wanna utilize all the touch controls systems and it can get confusing if the amount of command that you half to remember . I do have one major issue with the one I received, after connecting to my phone, putting the earbuds back to its case does not disconnect it from my phone, I couldn’t figure out why my phone doesn’t have any sounds until I realized that it’s still stuck on my skullcandy grind. I tried resetting the device to see if it’s a connection issue, but it just never auto disconnect when it’s being charge, hoping the one I had was a defective but overall experience it doesn’t perform properly on my end. overall it’s an ok earbuds with tons of features with EQ customization, too much touch pressing for me to remember, comes with a great app. but sadly the whole bluetooth not disconnecting put me off. I hope skullcandy can look at this issue with Grind.

The Skullcandy - Grind True Wireless In-Ear Headphones feature the Best Design & the Most Pleasing Sound for the price of many earbuds I have evaluated. They are not priced as Top Tier earbuds, but they perform as Top Tier, without the high cost. They handily outperform all Mid Tier earbuds in their price range. They represent an incredible value. The free Skullcandy app includes these features: - Graphic Equalizer - Selectable Hands-Free Voice Control - Choice of Stay-Aware Mode On or Off - Button Settings - Take a Photo - Share Audio - Spotify Tap - Find with Tile - User Guide Bluetooth connection is effortless. Simply activate Bluetooth on your smart phone & look for "Grind". Select Grind & you are connected. I did not experience any dropouts, which are common on Mid-Tier earbuds in this price range. The charging case is the perfect size; it fits in your pocket without adding bulk & provides 31 hours of uptime. The earbuds provide 9 hours of music on their own. An amazing benefit is the fast charge: 10 minutes produces 2 hours of charge. Various silicon tips are included for the best fit. The audio quality is stunning & far exceeds my expectations! CONCLUSION: I love these earbuds! They offer incredible sound with outstanding clarity & bass. They are very lightweight & comfortable in your ears. The voice control works great. I highly recommend these Skullcandy Grind In-Ear Headphones!

Use these running/lifting and at work to listen to music or take calls. Comes w/ 3 different ear gel sizes so you can find one that fits. Syncs effortlessly which is so nice: I haven’t had to do the stupid Bluetooth pairing shuffle with them yet. Battery life is monstrous: I haven’t worn them down past 40% yet. The sound is very good (not as good as my over-the-ear Beats Studio headset tho) but suffers a little bit unless you really seat that gel deep into your ear, tho it’s not bad at all (I’m nitpicking here). The iQ app is superb. Love the “StayAware” function when I’m streaming music in the office: let’s me still listen in on the office around me. You can also program the buttons to do whatever you want, comes with a real nice EQ and lots of other stuff I will probably never use. Only fell outta my ear once on a very sweaty run and that was with the wrong size gel. Dude I’ve swapped to the smallest gel they stay in very good.

Budget trying to be high end

Skullcandy in general has always been known to me as the cheap version of headphones. They have always been the ones I get for my kids because they used to eat through headphones. These Grind true wireless are on the upper end of abilities, but still shave some corners to keep them under budget. In general, they aren’t bad headphones, but you get what you pay for still applies here. Simple to get connected and start using. Directions are fairly simple with pushing different earbuds at different times and lengths. The thing with these is that it is pushing them, though easier than their previous versions, it’s not as easy as touching like higher end models. The inner part of the earbuds feel a little bigger than some others I have used, even with a small rubber tip installed it just feels like it stretches over the same large plastic tip. Can create some discomfort when trying to keep a good seal as that seal is the only thing keeping them in your ear. Sound quality isn’t terrible, but lows are noticeably missing. You can make it better once you install the Skullcandy app on your phone and use the EQ to your liking. The app is what enables all of the other smart features and is required to run in the background to function. This makes it so you can use the “Hey Skullcandy” feature to adjust volume, change tracks and answer calls. All those functions can still be done with clicking the proper earbud as well, if not connected to a phone with the app installed. Another feature that requires its own app is Tile, which is linked in the SKullcandy app. This allows you to locate the earbuds, provided they still have power, and shows their last known general location, provided they are connected to a smart device that has location services always enabled. Battery life is pretty amazing. Nearly 10 hours of use with about 4 charges available in the case. This is all variable on volume and features being used. However, putting them back in the case for a few minutes can get you hours of more use. As they can be used individually you can drop one in when you first hear the warning, let it charge till the other starts to warn you more and then swap them out for uninterrupted play. Overall, for the features they have if using them with a smartphone, they are pretty impressive for their price point. The comfort and sound quality might not be for everyone though and that is where I drop a star as I can’t do fraction of stars.

I've used many different types, brands, shapes and styles of in-ear headphones and I have to say that these Skullcandy - Grind True Wireless In- Ear headphones will hold up to all other top of the line earbuds. The Skullcandy - Grind in - ear headphones are super easy to set up. What I did first was connect via bluetooth to my cellphone and then I downloaded Skullcandy's app and link them together. Through the app I was able to set up my listening experience via the equalizer feature. You can also turn on hands - free voice controls, Stay aware mode (allows you the ability to hear what's going on around you) and you can monitor your battery level with this app just to name a few. The sound quality is outstanding. I couldn't believe how good these Skullcandy in - ear headphones sound. They are crystal clear and plays all notes great which in turn leads to a great listening experience. With the provided ear tips, it made getting the best in - ear fit very easy. I'm a very active person so having a good set of headphones to workout with is very important to me. The Skullcandy - Grind is a great set to workout with. The are comfortable to wear and they stay well seated in ear even while sweating heavily. I have used these while cycling, during a HIIT workout, running and weight training. I have never had these fall out of my ear and for me, this is a first. These are my go to workout headphones. With that all said, I would 100% recommend the Skullcandy - Grind True Wireless In-Ear Headphones to anyone wanting a great set of headphones.

Very bass heavy as with all skullcandy products, but overall sound quality is good. App required to use voice command features in basically garbage bloatware, I definitely recommend not bothering. Overall I give these a 4/5 for being a budget decent battery life alternative to other choices.
