This item, Apple - Smart Cover for Apple iPad mini, is an excellent simple screen protector. It is subtle and sleek, and has more use than just a cover: it has microfiber inside to help clean up finger oils (though by design it has some areas that do not get clean), and it folds up to function as an iPad stand as well. I love using the fold up option - it's magnetic so it won't wear out, and it gives my iPad just the right angle to set on a table and view the screen without having to hover over it. Don't tap too hard when using the cover like this though, as the magnets aren't super strong and it can collapse. Possibly the coolest thing is that, as I mentioned, this thing uses magnets (I know how they work, sorry Juggalos). Which means there's no velcro, adhesive, or plastic clips to break or wear out. Overall, this is a great investment. It will help keep your screen clean and damage-free, plus it looks nice and doubles as a stand. I would recommend this to anyone with an iPad mini.

Offers great protection for my iPad, like how it is a tri type top. Haven't dropped it yet and that is a good thing not sure how it will hold but im sure it will be fine

This cover is very sleek and easy to use. I received an otter box case as well when I got my iPad - this case is much easier to carry & hold when reading a book on an app.

With or without a case, it's always used. Seems something is always being stacked, dropped, or spilled on top. Even prevents issues from other stuff sharing a case.

This cover is attractive, does not take up much room, but is not a protective cover in case of drops, so I would recommend it for an adult and not for a child.

it covers the screen when closed and stays closed pretty good. it doesn't cover sides or back so there is no protection from a fall. it comes of easily as well.

I purchased this cover to protect the screen on my iPad mini. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. The color selection is pretty good. It feels great in you hand, and this model actually stays attached pretty well. I chose not to buy the cover with the back attached because I want to be able to remove it when I want to without taking a chance of scratching the back of the iPad. I purchased a separate back cover to take care of that problem. Overall, this iPad mini cover is great!

I have never been one for buying covers or cases for my devices but I am glad I did this time. The Apple Smart Cover for the iPad Mini is great protection for the device but not intrusive in any way.

For the price it should be better. Protects the screen only. Not really adaptable when using the tablet.

Stays attached (by magnet) to device without coming off. Lightweight and does not scratch screen while offering screen protection. Also, folds to give upright position for screen viewing .

I figured I'd default to the gray or blue, but Red is the color of my softball team and I use my iPad to keep score and play music during the games so it just worked out nicely. Love the red.

I purchased this smart cover as a backup for taking the iPad mini out with me when flying a drone. The smart cover is magnetic, works flawlessly, and I like the green color personally.

Automatically shuts off ur iPad when you close the lid. Very lightweight. Five stars if it would stand by itself when placed vertically.

I love this little cover. It's so convenient to just flip the cover back with the magnetic hinge. The iPad just goes to "sleep" when you close the cover and "wakes up" when you open it

The cover fits my iPad perfectly ! I love the feature that once you open it, the iPad turns on. when you close it, it turns off. Cool !

Apple doesn't carry accessories for older versions of their devices, so it was great to be able to find an iPad Mini 2 case at Best Buy! And, it's a great color; my daughter loves it!

This is a good cover in most respects as it protects the ipad and also doubles as a stand. The stand works in 2 directions which also is good. The one negative I find is that I have to remove it to use my ipad for mobile deposits to my bank because it does not show a clear picture of the check through the cover. But all in all a pretty good cover.

Excellent protection for iPad screen but a little pricey but that's Apple. Easiest case ever to "install." Just snap to the side and go.

When I purchased my Apple minipad, I also order the "smart" cover for it. Good protection for my mini and the magnetized closure is great.
