Let's start out with the CONS: 1. you can't adjust the volume just using your phones volume buttons. So you have to either be in the app or have the xPress Audio Keypad nearby. It would just be easier or a quicker solution to adjust the volume. 2. This can be a con or a pro depending on how you look at it but it doesn't come with audio wire, so you have to purchase that separately. But that gives you options on the amount you would need for your setup and type you want to use. We opted for KnuKonceptz 12g speaker wire. 3. It has to be on 2.4ghz Internet connection. When we first received it we couldn't get it to connect. We figured it had to be something wrong with our internet bc another product we had wouldn't connect to the 2.4ghz as well. So with calling our internet provider and having them take a look on the backend of our modem, they found that something was wrong with our modems connection to 2.4ghz and we had to wait for a new one to be delivered. Once we received the new modem setup was smooth as butter. That leads me to the pros... 4. You have to have add two additional apps to your phone or tablet/iPad. The SONOS and iPort app. 5. When using our music streaming service of choice (Pandora) through the speakers, we can no longer control our stations through the Pandora app. We can only control it via SONOS app, which isn't a major problem bc we are still able to like or dislike a track and it looks more streamlined than Pan's app, but in the case of wanting to replay a song we don't have that option. PROS: 1. It's a very easy install and setup. It automatically connected to the Internet. It took us no time to get music pumping out. 2. Sound quality and clarity is great. No distortion when you go to max volume. It also has good midrange bass. 3. You can add multiple things, such as a subwoofer or connect it to any other Sonos devices you have. 4. Great look. The Amp isn't too huge and obnoxious looking, blends right in, and speakers were easy to setup outside. 5. Speakers have a waterproof rating of ip66. Which is fantastic. 6. The remote was also a breeze to setup. Although the charge time is quite extensive (3hrs). 7. Even though you have to have two apps. The iPort keypad and SONOS app are very quick and responsive. You won't use the iPort keypad app as much but you can create different scenes which can group together your different Sonos devices or create favorites and play orders by pressing one button on the keypad. Which is a great option to have. 8. The iPort keypad also come with a wall plate that has a magnet to hold the remote and it's also compatible with Decora wall plates, and comes with an extra magnetic peel and stick plate to place wherever you need to have an additional place to put your remote if you move around. 9. SONOS app allows you to add multiple Pandora accounts. Not sure if this feature is available for other music streaming services as this is our service of choice. All in all we recommend this if you want to have some serious tunes in your backyard or porch and know that your system is of quality and waterproof so you have no worries.

This was a great package deal at the time. I set them outside by my pool i have had it for sometime now with no issues with connectivity or speakers.

Works fine and sound is very good. I wish the Sonos app interface was better integrated with my streaming services, though - and that I didn’t need to reopen the app just to adjust volume.

When it comes to sound quality, I call myself an expert or audiophile. I love listening to music with perfect base and clarity. While I have a very nice home theater and a gaming room with great sound systems, I had never been fortunate enough to find an outdoor system that met my demanding ears. That is, until now. I just tried this Sonos & Sonance Outdoor Speaker and am so amazed. The speakers are heavy, waterproof and produce the best sound I’d ever heard for this type of speakers at a home outdoor environment. In my opinion, a subwoofer would make it close to what you experience in outdoor concerts. Subwoofers can be purchased separately if you want to add more oomph to an already great system. It’s a dream come true right when my back yard is going through a makeover. I’m ready to invite neighbors and friends over to enjoy the sound. I will not go through the details of setting this up but it was very easy. The CONNECT:AMP app is intuitive and flexible and allows you to stream from different sources. This equipment deserves high bit rates and my advice is to always choose 256 or higher for streaming. The amp is powerful and easy to operate. The included iPort Xpress keypad is nice but it seems that it can only be set up with an iPhone or iPad. No Android support. Not a problem for me but it may be for others. Taste is a personal thing but I do like the design. It does look and feel of high quality. I like the tactile feedback as well. Although I always feel bad about placing a system like this to the elements, it seems that it does a good job of protecting itself. Is there room for improvements? Definitely but my 5-star rating is based on material and sound quality, not on other features it could have. Those are the two most important ones to me. The app and the remote are welcome and I love them but nothing is more important than overall quality and this system does meet that in my opinion. If I could, I would have given it 4.5 stars due to its lack of Android support to the keypad. As I said, not an issue for me but not everybody is an iPhone fan.

Installation is only difficult depending on where and how you are mounting the speakers. Once installed, the setup was very easy. The sound of these speakers is GREAT!

So I've been a happy Sonos customer for many years with multiple soundbars and rear channels dashed around my home. When I had a chance to grab the Sonos & Sonance Outdoor Streaming Audio Bundle, I didn't hesitate. When the box arrived, it was well packed, essentially you get a Sonos Connect:Amp, 2 x Sonance MAG 06 Outdoor Speakers and the iPort xPress remote...all packaged in their own boxes. Now, I must admit that in my haste in ordering the system I didn't realize the speakers would be wired...my bad, but worth pointing out as the packaging never really mentions that part...just a lot of mentions of "streaming". Also, speaker wire is not included in the kit, in my case I had miles of it from back in the day, so problem solved once I determined speaker location and wire routing. Setting up the Sonos Connect:Amp is very straight forward, their iOS app is really polished and makes for a smooth connection by following the setup process. The speaker terminals on the back are also easy to use, as they are spring loaded. Simply push, insert speaker wire and release for a secure connection. The terminals on the Sonance speakers are the same configuration and also have a really cool weather-proof setup. The speaker wire actually comes in through the back of the speaker (through a weather tight rubber gasket) and runs up to the terminals on the front of the speaker. Once the speaker wires are connected, there's a cover that snaps into place and keeps the weather out. Overall, the speaker construction is really modern, with great looks, an adjustable mounting bracket and all the trick weather shielding wire routing. They are a bit on the heavy side, so I ended up mounting the brackets and then clicked the speakers onto the bracket arms...voila! I did set up the iPort xPress Audio Keypad, which is supported on my iPhone X. I'll have to say it's a nice little bonus piece, but I use the Sonos app 99% of the time during operation. The feature which is pretty cool on the control is the star button that can be programmed to turn the system on and go to your favorite channel(s). So a single click start, pretty cool! Now for the sound, let's just say that when I listen to my new speakers....my neighbors do too! These puppies can really rock out and still keep a crisp and clean sound. My wife has told me to "turn them down" almost every time I turn them on as the sound quality is so good I can't get enough! Pros: - System is really easy to set up - Design of the system components is very modern with great aesthetics - Sound quality is amazing Cons: - Speakers are wired - not really a "con" but wanted to point it out Overall, this is an amazing looking and sounding outdoor speaker setup that I would recommend to anyone looking to kick it up on the deck or in the backyard!

Just what I was looking for. The price was exactly what was looking for in the quality of the product. Got excellent product and purchased at the right time.

Extended my existing Sonos system to the back yard with this bundle. Super impressed with the design that makes these speakers weatherproof.

The package is great for listening outside at low and moderate volumes. If you want a good "boom" at a loud volume I would recommend a different outdoor speaker.

Works a lot better then my previous Bose SoundTouch system. The Bose system were a lot more unstable. This system have worked 100% since day one.

I believe this package contains a very nice speaker package for the yard or garage, but keep in mind that you will need stereo wire. This is not a wireless speaker system. The package includes two Sonance Mag 06 outdoor speakers (wired), a Sonos Connect amp, and an iPort xPress remote keypad/controller. The two Sonance speakers are weatherproof and fairly large. Mounting them was fairly easy with the included mounting braces, but consult a help video if you are new to mounting speakers as there are some choices to be made on height and whether to mount horizontally or vertically depending on how you might want to move and adjust the speakers. Again, these will require stereo wire. I used 10 gauge wire and that worked well. The Sonos Connect amp was easy to setup and comes ready to stream from your favorite service. It basically works as a receiver for the system but you could integrate an existing receiver that you may have into the system, too. The amp is not weatherproof. The whole system produces high-quality sound at a nice volume that will fill a yard or garage. The only negative aspect of the system for me is the iPort xPress keypad. That is because it only works with iOS devices, and not Android. I only have Android devices so I'm hoping that the app is released for Android so that I can utilize it. If you are an Apple person, this won't apply to you. Otherwise, you can utilize the buttons on the amp to control the syste. Overall, I am very pleased with this system based on the items that it includes, the ease of setup, and the sound it produces. Just keep in mind that you will need stereo wire, and an Apple device to take full advantage of the keypad controller.

Installed them at my last house. Brought them to my new house. Have installed these for my friends as well. Highly recommended

I have been looking for a way to have high quality sound around my pool deck. I have been using bluetooth speakers this summer, and although they served the purpose, they didn't really fill the need for great sound. Then, along came the tech insider network with an opportunity to try the Sonos/Sonance outdoor combo. Of course I jumped on the chance to try it out. This is my first experience with either of these companies. I have looked at Sonos in the past, but have never pulled the trigger to purchase a speaker or system. The Sonos connect amp is a great idea and Sonos does a great job in how they designed the system. Setup was easy. About 4 minutes from the time I plugged into power to when the Sonos was updated and I was signing into my streaming music accounts. The remote was a little disappointing in the fact that you had to have an Apple device to set it up. Fortunately, we had an older I-pad in the house and was able to download the app and set up the remote. Once it is set up, you don't need the app again except maybe for updates. The Connect Amp is not water-proof. It must be placed in a sheltered location. I placed mine in the basement and ran speaker wire underground to the deck. The Sonance speakers sound really great! I was a little surprised at the size of the speakers, they were larger than I had imagined, but once I had them mounted, they looked really good - almost as good as they sounded. Sonance designed the speakers to bring the wire in from the back side and attach to the posts in the front, then a cover is placed over the connectors. This is a really ingenious way to hook up the speakers. I really can't think of a bad thing to say about this system (except the remote being apple only). I guess if I could change one thing, I would love for this system to be 100 watt X2, instead it is 55 X2. Don't get me wrong, it is plenty loud enough by the pool, but sometimes you just need to feel the music! It's a great system, easy to install and setup and the sound is exceptional. If you need an outdoor music solution, I think it would be hard to beat the Sonos/Sonance combination available at Best Buy. I did receive this system as part of the Best Buy Tech Insider Network in exchange for my honest opinion. In my opinion - go get you one!

Was looking for an easy outdoor speaker setup. System works great and the price was good as the separation as the items could have been double the cost. Pandora is not as loud as others streaming audio for some reason

Fantastic addition to the backyard. The sound is BRILLIANT outside--love lounging in the pool with the tunes on!

Great speakers with awesome sound combined with the flexibility of the Sonos amp make for a perfect solution for any outdoor location.

Worked great initially but then stopped working in one part of the house. Still trying to troubleshoot why it won’t take commands to play. Works with app though so all not lost.

I have these on my porch with connectivity through internet radio and it had added enjoyment of our porch since installed.
