The sound improved significantly and since it’s in the bedroom I really like the nightime option on the remote. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is due to the weak subwoofer sound which may be due to it being wireless.

Sound is great, its easy to setup, and not super expensive

Easy to hook up with the TV. The sound is excellent. Remote control is easy to use. Love being able to blue tooth the system to my phone, computer, or iPad to listen to music on a quality sound system.

Very sound system no too bad not too expensive either

With the Christmas Discount couldn't pass up. Easy to set up and because the Base is wireless able to locate anywhere in the Room. I wanted it for Movies and Sound Effects. However my Wife says she is understanding dialogue a lot better now, so I was very happy with that since I got it without consulting her. (She likes it!) Sometimes the sound in not in Sync with the Character's Lips. It's not all the time so I don't think it's the system's fault but still annoying until I forced myself not to focus on it.

As part of a half day of system installs (Harmony Hub, Sonos, TV, etc.) the Geek Squad member came to the house and took care of everything. This Sony Soundbar was recommended to us by an In-Home Advisor as something that would provide good quality sound in the bedroom - it is terrific and all that we needed. Great experience.

This system pumps out the sound and base like no other in the price range! Was a great purchase and glad I got it on sale!! Although, I have a Sony XBR tv and Sony is picky with what sound systems you can connect correctly to the tv. Took a while to figure out how to properly get the stem connected to the tv properly. If the xbr tv is not compatible you must connect the opticle and hdmi cable together and change your setting to Dolby digital instead of Dolby plus. All around a great system!!

I was searching for a new sound bar while roaming the Best Buy aisles. This particular item was a bit tucked away off the beaten track. I heard it before I saw it because it was being demonstrated by a very knowledgeable rep to another customer. The sound attracted me and to my pleasant surprise, the source of the great sound was a sound bar that was this compact unit - not a large surround system that I expected to encounter! Large sound from a smallish bar/subwoofer. I stepped up to get involved in the conversation and the rep went over the features, ease of set up, etc. I was almost sold but in all honesty, I purchased a less expensive "name brand" unit instead. My purchase was based solely upon the name brand and a reduced sale price only because the floor demo was not powered up and I was unable to listen to the output. During my long drive home I had ample time to question the basis of my purchase decision. I hooked up the new unit and was immediately struck by the reality of a much lower quality sound experience. Barely above the native TV sound I was hoping to enhance. Thank goodness I shop Best Buy. The return was easy. I immediately went over to grab the Sony and to my surprise, it was on sale as of that day. Sale or not, this unit is price point perfection. I have severe hearing loss and the Sony is able to compensate. The subwoofer is substantial without the muddy base reverberations that are all too common in lower end units, Set up, pairing is almost automatic. The small remote is fine and does not take too much space when lying on the table with other remotes. Best of all, my wife, who has excellent hearing loves the sound quality upgrade and has approved of my purchase many times over. I believe that I found the perfect sweet spot: great sound quality without overspending for sound that may be better but that I personally could never fully appreciate due to my personal hearing limitations.

I had very little expectations on this sound bar but i was pleasantly suprised. The sound quality is really good. I have a bose soundtouch on my other tv and as expected this one is not as good but for about $1200 less it sounds great. It links effortlessly to my. sony tv and doubles as a great Bluetooth speaker system.

When smart tv turns on automatically it goes to the sound bar and vice versa to speakers when the sound bar is turned off. And you don’t even have to turn it on if you wanna play music from your phone or a Bluetooth device. All you do is connect it under settings in Bluetooth on the phone and it’ll turn on and connect

Very pleased. 5 year old Samsung 55 “ tv sound deteriorated and the optical port failed so could not use our Bose theater system to bypass. We are very pleased with this purchase as sound is excellent across media (sports, live and streamed movies). Very good base sound. Happy with sales associate who recommended it.

Got an open box for 99 after it was marked to 150 on black Friday. This is a good option if you're looking for a surround sound dynamic in a smaller space. I have the subwoofer next to my bed and although I wish it maxed out a little higher- I can still hear a substantial difference vs the TV speakers I used before.

When limiting yourself to a 2.1 channel system vs a 5.1 or 7.1 system, this is great addition to the entertainment experience. The sound (300w) is more crisper compared to the TV's 20w system. I was able to hear sounds that I never realized or forgotten were a part of the movie; sounds that help make the movie. Another great feature is the Bluetooth functionality. 4 stars is a result of (like other reviews) the maximum bass level is lower than some may desire. The bass is still good, its just limited.

The Sony sound be is just good. Nothing flashy. The price was right for us, which is important. The sub woofer could use a little more power. The sound bar is clear and you can change to pre-set modes. All in all its a nice sound bar system for those that don't want to spend alot of money, but still want sound that is far superior then the tv alone. I would reccomend this Sony sound bar and sub woofer.

I purchased this sound bar to go with my matching Sony TV. I believe the sound quality is great for a soundbar with subwoofer. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of having the full surround (5 speakers) so I picked this one and have been very pleased with the sound quality and design. Great product.
