Con: the most bothersome is how fhe screen gets whitewashed immediately if viewed from any direction except facing straight on. I would not have bought this had i known, maybe its the full backlit that causes it, i dont know. TV first turns on to ad screen of movies & subscription networks, not too big a deal but enticing to spend more money.

The set up was easy, but time consuming. It's basically "plug and play" but like most newer TVs it is like setting up a new computer. It wirelessly connects to the internet so you can set up your major streaming services without needing any additional equipment like an Apple TV, ROKU, or Firestick. The picture on this TV is fantasist. Everything that the manufacturer promises is evident. No real complaints so far, but we've only had it for a little over a month. We don't use the TV's speakers. We have it connected to an amplifier and surround system. The speakers that come built into TV are never good enough to go along with a big screen and high quality picture. So far it does a really good job with Cable TV, Streaming services, and Playstation games. It has downloaded firmware updates and restarted a couple of times. I'm keeping my eye on that because our last Sony Bravia failed because of a firmware issue leading to needing to replace it with this one. As long as we don't have that issue again this TV does everything we wanted from it.

Strong full array led tv

Works pretty well in fairly bright room. Obviously not as great of a contrast as oled but everything looks great and you can see most details well. Sound is obviously not great but that is what a soundbar is for.

The internet browser I downloaded to use with this tv works flawlessly and is super quick. Apps also load beautifully on this tv. Picture is very crisp and clear. I paid $799 for this tv and it is worth every penny. If you are looking for a newer model tv but don't want to pay top dollar then you can't go wrong with this sony bravia x90j series tv. I would highly recommend. The only downside to this tv is the storage space on the tv. I tried loading dozens of apps onto this tv and ran out of memory space. So you really have to select only the ones you plan on using the most. If you need more I suggest buying a roku stick for any additional apps you may need. I have dish network satellite, and over the air digital tv antenna for local channels and a dvd player connected to this tv and they all work perfectly with this tv.

I ended up giving the TCL to my sister when her TV got cracked. I didnt have a problem giving it away because the TV just didnt get bright enough for me. This Sony X90J is light-years ahead of the TCL I gave my sister. This TV has so many advanced features. From the moment I turned it on, I was amazed at the quality. The colors are so beautiful and it works at 120hz with my PS5 because it has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. I love this TV so much. I was watching Netflix last night and when I went into the tv picture settings, there was even a 'Netflix Calibrated' mode thats auto calibrated for Netflix content. This TV has it all. Im so pleased with this purchase. I thought the price was a bit steep, but when you turn on the TV, you instantly understand why you paid so much. I was sure to buy a 5 year warranty from another supplier because they also cover burn-in damage which isn't usually covered by warranty providers. So this TV will be serving me well for atleast 5 years!

Easy to set up and the quality of the sound and picture is great. My only complaint is I wish they had a more solid base as a child might easy knock this over the TV stand. This would not be an issue if you plan to attach to a wall but my situation doesn't allow for that.

For stability, please make sure that the supplied stand is installed properly and place TV on a flat surface. If the table-top stand protrudes out from the stand, it may cause TV set to topple over, fall down, and cause personal injury or damage to the TV. To ensure the TV safety, we suggest at least give clearance on each side of the TV.

But once I figured that out it was a breeze. Everything else is picture perfect and I did not have to adjust it much to get a great visual pleasing TV. Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my TV as an Open Box Excellent at my local Best Buy, and while it certainly wasn't in the best condition (probably falling under Open Box Satisfactory), the picture was on point. For two or so weeks, I watch and played games to my hearts content, and I was really satisfied with the picture quality this tv gave me. Then at the third week mark, I noticed a cloudy area starting to form in the middle of the screen. A few days later and it started to get very noticable in dark scenes, so I contacted Geek Squad to come out, and they confirmed my suspicions. While my TV didn't qualify anyway, Sony does not cover this in their manufacturer's warranty. They have confirmed with my local store, and they're arranging to replace my TV with another on hand. If my unit was void of this issue, I'd probably have this TV until it's no longer supported. It's really that good. Sadly, I'm meant for another TV.

Fantastic Underrated TV

A lot of reviews knocked it because of its initially high price, but since then it’s had massive discounts and sales. I ended up returning this 50 inch model, but only so I could buy the 75 inch one. As far as picture quality it’s super sharp, 4K movies and shows look fantastic, and as far as 1080p and under content, this is the best upscaling tv of all I tried out. I watch a lot of old shows and this tv makes them look way nicer than all the Samsungs I tried. The only issue I had was the tv does have occasional blooming, but you stop noticing it after a while. The sound is pretty standard for these kinds of TVs, I use a sound bar so it’s not an issue for me. Overall this is a great TV.

Easy Google TV, good picture at a reasonable cost

Basically, Sony makes a great Google TV that's simple to set up and at this point the price isn't higher than any other. Granted the picture isn't the same as the OLED versions, but the difference isn't worth the additional cost.

Picture to me and my wife much better. Tried adjusting the oled with several different suggestions on YouTube. Just never looked right. Couldn’t get skin tones right.
