Wanted to upgrade my Home Theater to 4k and get a little larger. Went from 60 to 65. Picture is sharp and clear out the box. Hook up to Blu-Ray, Amazon Fire Box, DVR went without a hitch. Activating Netflix was easy also. Happy with purchase, no complaints with this TV!

Needed a new tv my 11 year old Plasma was on its way out. Started shopping unfortunately Plasmas are no longer being produced. I have been spoiled by the perfect viewing angles and blacks with Plasma. OLED is the new tech that does this. It sad that OLED are beyond what I wanted to spend.
What I like;
Set up is easy
Picture good when looking at it straight on
Good value
What I don’t like;
Off angle viewing
Menus and settings
No real owners manual that explains all the settings and what they do
TV sits tilted back on provided stand
Trying to figure out to control the judder
So plasma owners get ready for a mind blowing selection of TV’s And that you have to fork out the big bucks if you want to match Plasma picture quality. Overall I have to agree with all of the professional reviews that this is a very good TV just not a great one.

I'm no TV expert, so I can't get too technical. But I can say that for the price, this TV is ASTOUNDINGLY pretty. The frame/bezel is nice and thin/narrow, which I really like. The picture itself is gorgeous. Sure, you can have a slightly better contrast and more specific lighting, but it's typically for about double the price of this guy.
For my purposes, this TV Is amazing. My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the size, the bright picture, the resolution and clarity, the rich colors... it's fantastic. I can't comment much on the smart features, because we mostly use our Blu-ray player or Roku to watch content... but the speech command features so far seems very fast and accurate.
Also, it's an odd little thing that most people may not care about, but I was absolutely THRILLED when I discovered that the Settings menu gave an option to adjust the brightness of the white power indicator light underneath the "Sony" emblem at the bottom of the television. You can choose a brightness, or you can simply have it remain off, OR you can have it only light up when the TV is receiving commands from the remote. How cool is that? I love it when products give users more options for fun customization. Things that aren't necessary, but are there anyway, just for the heck of it. Although I do consider this a necessary option for my taste, because I find those lights to distract from the movie.
Anyway, I'm rambling. I recommend this TV!

Solid Buy for a 4K set

I have 5 different flat screens around my home. I upgraded our family room from a 50" to a 65". When looking I was able to speak with a well informed sales associate. He told me of all the "bells and whistles" of this Sony model in comparison to other brands/models. After much debate, we went with this one. It's been a great buy so far. Very easy to set up. Only issue is that we had to upgrade our Netflix account to see more 4K programming. Directv is limited in their 4K programming as well. Here's hoping to more content in the near future, so we can see this set's full potential.

I have been a long time LG fan, sold them for years. I was hesitant to switch to Sony, I was not sorry in the least. Sony is easy to use, works with my tablet, colors are wonderful, blacks are great, and the refresh rate is as good as I have ever seen.

Great TV, but you MUST contact your cable provider to get their latest equipment to really get the most out of it (unless you are using it to stream only). Easy to set up, but a lot of control capability that might wind up getting you in too deep. Secret is: don't overthink it, get the latest cable set top box, and have BBY do the on-site tuning (separate service).

The TV works well. The picture is good. The color is precise and lack the gaudy extremes of some other brands. The black is quite black for this level of LED backlit LCD screen. The Android TV smart features are robust and work well. The only issue I have found is that when the bluetooth connects to an external speaker, while still using the TV speakers, there is a horrible echo in the TV speakers (just the TV speakers not between the TV speakers and the others); this makes it unusable. I assume this will be fixed in some future firmware update.

I bought this as a birthday gift after look at a model above and a model below. I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase. Great color, seamless connection to Xfinity and other devices as well as the fact that the set up was dummy proof.

Amazing picture, very easy to set up as a regular TV. I haven't gotten to the "smart "part yet- I'll wait for my son to show me. Also, I feel it needs better speakers, so I will consider getting a sound bar and a better cable.

Honestly, I had second-guessed this purchase once it was home because the box is huge. Once it was set up, I was hooked.
Great picture, easy to configure, and paired seamlessly to a Sony Blu-ray system. Menu is intuitive and the unit is easy to use.
I’m using the stand, and it has the weird backward angle other reviews have mentioned. It doesnt affect the picture quality or add to glare, but it is odd to see if you’re looking at the side of the unit. It’s also a freakishly thin system; I didn’t notice that at the store.

We did a lot of research and found this was the best deal. We needed a large screen because of the distance from the couch. Great picture. Love all the smart features. We also bought a Bose soundbar to go with it. Sounds amazing!!

Great Picture - Good TV for Price

Nice tv at the right price - first time seeing 4K - wow! I haven’t tried to adjust the picture yet - but noticed the picture fades when looking at it from the side at a distance - but beautiful picture with a straight view - I didn’t have the tv mounted to the wall which is my mistake. It is thin and large and somewhat wobbly on the stand. This causes me a little concern when the cats are playing around it. The stand does not come attached - it doesn’t take that long to attach it, but you might need 2 people and a drill to make it easier. Overall, I didn’t want to pay big bucks and it is a great tv for what I paid. I would definitely buy it again & am very happy with my purchase. Oh, you do probably need to buy a sound bar for it though

Had some concern over the screen type used in this model, relative to off angle viewing; but it was not borne out. Picture quality excellent and up scaling of resolution is very good. Only "artifacting " noticed was on an old Perry Mason Black & White rerun where Paul Drake had on a Hounds tooth checkered sport coat! The over scan and upscale produced a minor brilliance effect when he moved. Biggest complaints are the need for a mini phono to rca phono "Y" cable to feed audio into the old Kenwood Surround sound amp and Bose Speakers. (Skip the sound bars please, no match for Bose 901 speakers!), the new video processors 2-3 second lag in switching channels vs. old sets 1/4 second and the Picture in Picture feature limiting you to viewing the menu only vs watching two pictures.

Awesome Sony product easy set up, easy to navigate through menu's, seamless streaming from Sansung Galaxy note. Plenty of HD MI connections, video up scaling works great.
All in all I give it a A+ even though I preferred routing audio through my hifi. Sounds ok but I guess I been spoiled for years with audiophile quality sound.
Start with one of these and work your way out to a great home theater system. Picture is absolutely delicious, deep vibrant colors, pitch black blacks with sharp and crisp transitions.

65” has quickly become the new standard as far as size. I was torn between Sony and Samsung (having owned Samsung TVs). The features of the Sony inched it ahead of the Samsung. Great equipment, well worth the investment.
