I initially grabbed a Geek Squad certified Open Box TV. After having it for about six days, I noticed a thin blue vertical line about four inches from the right side. The line went away but kept returning. So I called Geek Squad and was told that Sony doesn't replace their screens and that I would have to trade it for another TV. I was pretty bummed, but fortunately the box was still in our garage, which made returning it a whole lot easier. While returning the TV, I was given peace of mind from the Best Buy employee that works the return counter, that he rarely sees Sony TVs returned. This helped me decide on purchasing the same TV, but new in box. Needless to say, I increased my warranty to five years. I imagine the blue line was the reason for the TV being an open box item. Either way, the TV has an excellent picture (when 4K is being streamed). The sound is like any other thin flat screen TV; not impressive. But the TV itself is pretty amazing. We get compliments on the picture quality and color ALL the time. Also, if you're mounting this TV to the wall like I did, know that it is pretty lightweight for the size. One thing I wish Sony did was illuminate the buttons on the remote. Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is a fantastic TV for the price, but I did not notice much difference between a comparable Samsung I purchased in terms of motion blur reduction. It was a bit better, but not $300 better. The interface is slow and very basic looking, but relatively simple to navigate. It is also very slow to respond to commands. For example, jumping from Netflix to TV Channel mode, you'll wait a good 5-10 seconds for it to load. Not the end of the world, but slower than most. The picture quality and color range are fantastic. Deep blacks and realistic colors (not as vibrant and stylized as Samsung out of the box) are impressive. Overall, the quality of this TV is well worth the money. It's a great TV with some minor flaws, but what budget 4K doesn't have it's quirks?

I was looking for 65" 4K UHD. This unit is loaded with features and especially had the ones that mattered most to me. I also liked the stand supported in the center (as opposed to a stand that has 2 supports on the ends - this allows one to use a smaller cabinet to set the unit on. Great picture as well, very pleased with purchase.

We're looking for a 4K television with audio output to feed to our old stereo system. Only 2 brands have this option are Sony (head set) and Vizio (RCA connectors). We have selected Sony TV for better picture quality with reasonable price (Thanks Best Buy for matching price option and very nice/knowledgeable salesman in San Marcos, CA). The Sony TV has great picture and sound. Recommended.

The picture is excellent. especially after I changed the settings to the recommended settings from rtings.com. I did a comparison of over 30 TVs using Rtings.com and a weighting factor based on the price and features I wanted this TV won easily. As for the sound, there are issues with the sound not syncing right. This changes from App to App and occasionally while watching something in a single App. Netflix will work correctly but when I switch to Youtube the sound is off. this is fixed by changing the sync settings in the Soundbar. changing the settings on the TV does nothing. Note i am using a VIZIO sound bar because after the third Sony soundbar HTC790 broke i gave up on Sony sound bars.

My family has been using Sony's video and audio system for a long time. This year, we originally bought a Samsung as it looks pretty good when we saw it in the store. It was very clear and sharp, but the colors were not as natural as Sony, and made my eyes tired after a short of time watching. We decided to stick with Sony so we got this one. its images are not as sharp and smooth as Samsung, but it delivers very natural and comfortable pictures. It is just comfortable to watch with.

Pros: - The television has smart capabilities, allowing for easier connection to streaming services, casting devices, and personal accounts from services like Amazon, YouTube, and Google. - Great picture. Images are clear. The colors are quite vibrant and true to life. - Once connected to home Wi-Fi, the television can also be personalized to the viewer's habits- it can suggest upcoming programs that might interest the viewer. Cons: - Some settings of the televison, those that actually tweak the televison itself rather than its connection or its appilications, can be difficult to find. - The televsion's stand could be sturdier in design. It seems as if the televsion is actually at a tilt.

We're a household that was coming off of owning a 55" VIZIO that was beginning to fizzle out on the HDMI inputs. We wanted to hold off buying a new TV until after the summer, but BB ran a really good sale that it piqued our interests to replace. I'm normally not a fan of SONY products, as I think they're priced more for name recognition than anything, as almost anything else is just as good, if not better, that's not named SONY. However, this was on open-box buy for almost $800 off and there wasn't a thing wrong with it. No scratches, no blemishes, nothing. We simply couldn't pass it up and we've LOVED it since we got it. Absolutely amazing picture quality. Easy to install & program. Entirely user-friendly. We could not be any happier. I'd recommend this TV to anyone who's looking for a great 4K. That all being said, I'm not leaning toward SONY, it was more so just the price point than the quality b/c the same TV we were looking at from Samsung was only $335 more brand new...and it does the same thing. (features, quality, etc) So we decided to save the $335 and go with this one. Wise decision.

This tv is absolutely amazing. At first I went back and forth between the 900 series and the 800 model. I don’t watch a lot of movies so for about $500 difference between the two I went with the 800. I don’t regret it at all the tv is awesome! I wish the power cord was a little longer but other then that I have no qualms with this tv. I got a great deal on it and can’t complain. If you want a great tv but don’t want to spend 2k this is a great model!

I have been looking to replace my 10 year old rear projection TV for over a year. I have compared several models and last spring settled on a Sony 65" X750D. When I saw the price drop on this model, I started to compare 4K HDR TV's. This one turned out to be an excellent value and stayed within budget. I really enjoy the brighter screen and depth of picture. I ended up pairing with a new 4K blue-ray and AppleTV 4K the enhance my viewing experience.

Before I purchased this great 65" Sony Bravia TV, I've read the negative reviews about the sound quality or the sound loudness of the built-in speakers and the lagging response to the remote control. But my purchased unit has a good picture and sound quality and loud enough that I don't even reached 50% of the volume. I don't need a sound bar just to increase the sound loudness. As to the response to the remote control, it's true, there's a little delay but it's not a big concern unless you're always in a hurry.
