Super easy to program; up-and-running in minutes. Only thing to worry about is losing the programming manual.

Easy to set up with the instructions. Works as advertised with Cable box and TV. Up and running in 10 minutes. I recommend this remote to those that struggle with multiple remotes.

Still don't know how to use it to its fullest potential but so many awesome things to hook up to it. And my tv is Sony so it was already mostly good to go!

Works with many different products not necessarily Sony equipment. Simple to set up and eary to follow instructions make this remote a no brainer even for beginners.

good basic universal remote could not get it to turn-on receiver, but handles everything else ok

This remote generally does as promised: program codes for different manufacturers' equipment, plus learning ability for the occasional remote that doesn't play by the rules. The remote really needs either a "light" button or glow-in-the-dark keys:it's tough to see the buttons when the room is dark.

This remote turned out to be almost exactly what I needed. It even handled my old Panasonic home theatre system without even needing to use the learning function, which was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of buttons, and the build quality is fine for an inexpensive device … for something that's all plastic, it still feels good and solid. The only thing I could have wished for is that it would also have been able to replace my RF remotes, but at this price point that simply can't be expected. I certainly feel that I got my money's worth, and then some.

Works well with all my equipment at home, found it a little complicated first

I love this remote. It is easy to program and the buttons are logically labeled. I have four devices (TV, Blu-ray player, Cable box and Audio/video receiver) controlled by this remote. I have had this remote since June 2013. All devices work flawlessly. I can use one button to turn on the TV, Cable box and Receiver with the correct input set and turn off everything with one button (same button). My previous remote was a Harmony remote which did not work as good as the Sony remote. The Sony remote is a bargain for the retail price. I paid $17.49 plus tax.

The remote fits nicely in my hand. I was able to program most of my devices with 2 exception my hdmi switch matrix and my new 2014 LG TV. With the Lg Only the Power button worked nothing else was able to be inputted into the remote. The hdmi switch nothing could be learned. everything else worked just fine, even media server xbmc worked. over all Buy the remote you be able to replace at least 3 remotes.

The Remote is easy to use and program and bulky enough to find it always.

I have an old Sony TV and the remote just died one day. I thought I would try a universal remote, never had one before. Because this is a Sony remote, I thought there would be little trouble getting it to sync with my Sony TV. It didn't sync at first but all I had to do was try a couple of the remote codes that came with it, and then it worked perfectly! I am quite happy with it.

Doesn't have a screen or anything fancy, but it does the job. You can program it (rather easily) to control pretty much anything. Mine is controlling the tv, blu ray player, surround sound receiver, and cable box. Does it have 100% functionality for everything? No, but it covers almost everything I want it to do on a daily basis. It really is a simple remote that does what it is supposed to do.
