This remote was exactly what I needed. A learning remote that learns all my functions. No matter how old your devices.

I went from unpacking the controller to full use in about 20 minutes. While the setup for devices with multiple codes can get a little tedious, I give the overall use of this device very high marks. Instead of searching around for three different remotes any time I want to switch from cable to the DVD player, now I just have to hit a few buttons on one remote.

I bought this remote after my daughter performed some magic, and my amplifier remote vanished. I checked out a few different remotes and read reviews. How can anybody justify spend over 30 dollars on a remote? I am a very tech savvy guy and its a remote. When I grab it, I want my tv to turn on and then I put it down. The price point for everything this does is great. Buy this remote, spend more money on the actual components, not the controller you touch for a few seconds.

In the store I was upsold the Logitech remote by a BestBuy rep. My research showed this device did the same things as the more expensive ones. I got both. This remote does not have a nice computer interface like the more expensive ones but if you are on a budget it is perfect for your. You can still teach this remote unique buttons from any remote.

works well for those people that want just one remote to do all except that it will not work with the digital converter boxes

It works great with everything we have - TWC cable box, Panasonic Toshiba and Emerson TVs. Most importantly, we were able to program it to work with a very old Sherwood receiver that has never worked with any codes. And it even works to power on and off an HP media center PC that we use for music and DVDs (Bluetooth mouse controls the rest of it). Only very small wish would be for slightly more distinctive buttons (size, color) and backlighting.

We have been using this remote for about 5 years now, and is one of the best universal remotes for the price. Set up is super easy, it is extremely easy to use, and it feels sooo solid in your hands. Most remotes at this price point feel very cheap and breakable, this thing feels like it will break the table if you slam it down. Love it!

The best universal control I have bought. Easy to set up and good range

When we got this unit we were excited because of the good reviews. Then when we tried to program it we were initially very disappointed. We could not get it to to work with our very old Yamaha amplifier. We figured it was just too old an amplifier and were about to return the universal remote. THEN I did an online search and found a review that said the batteries in each remote you are using to teach the universal remote and the batteries in the universal remote have to absolutely brand new in order for the "learning" function to work. Once I swapped out the batteries - presto. Now it works like a dream. Worth every penny we spent, and it was just a modest amount. We are very happy with it and would recommend it even for households with older equipment. Just be sure to start with brand new batteries all around.

This remote is a great bargain! It does way more than I had expected at first. It is a smart remote in where it can automatically figure out the signal to control your TV. But, I bought it because 2 of my devices - Bluray player and soundbar - are Sony, and that saved me a lot of time since the remote is preprogrammed to control Sony. It fave me plenty of options to control my experience, whether watching cable or a movie. It even saves me effort and time by letting me set whether i want to control the sound via the TV or the soundbar. I can make it so as I'm controlling the BD player, I can control the volume for the soundbar. It also will let you "stage" an experience and cotton multiple device with just one push of a button. That's very cool since this remote cost less than $30. But there are a lot of steps to get the convenience of that. And that can be taxing. All in all a great remote at a great price. I recommend it.

Able to control Vizio TV, Direct TV box , Magnavox DVR, and GE VHS player. Love the sleep timer function.

For the money it is great, was not tough to set up ( I cheated and son in law helped) but with a bit of effort I could have done setup. It takes some work but if a plain universal isn't getting the job done then this might be what you need. Macros allow you to push one button and control all equipment for a particular mode. Example: I have one button to turn set top box, tv and receiver on for TV mode.

I like the remote. It is easy to use and works well with our Sony smart tv!

Easy to program and easy to use. Works with all my components.

I had 4 remotes, one each for TV, Blu ray player, receiver, and HTPC. This remote easily replaced the first three. I haven't attempted to program it to replace the HTPC remote, but the manual seems to indicate it would be a fairly simple task if I get around to devoting the time to it.

Good ole fashioned simple, quality universal remote. I have a lot of Sony components so I liked the idea of sticking with Sony.

I really like this remote. It's easy to program, and it will control everything I have. The only problem is that it only lasts about 2 years before some buttons stop working. I'm on my 3rd one.

LOST OUR REMOTE AND NEEDED NEW ONE. WORKS GREAT WITH OUR TV. COULD NOT PROGRAM WITHOUT THE REMOTE.
