Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Alpha a6000's camera quality, ease of use, and compact size, frequently praising its lightweight design. Many also appreciate the camera's features and find it offers good value for the price. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and low-light performance and autofocus could be more reliable. The telephoto lens's autofocus functionality has also received some criticism.

I needed a camera to take great quality pictures of my service dog. This camera.. I wish I can rate it more than 5 stars.. First, there are so many different settings to choose from "night, fast moving object, so on". 2nd, I absolutely love the setting where you take a picture and the camera automatically focuses on the subject and blurs the background. 3rd. It can capture 11 pictures in 1 second on shooting mode. This camera is fantastic. 4th, when you want to send your picture to your smart phone, all you have to do is "send to smartphone" the camera will pop up a wifi name, join that wifi on your phone and boom! Those pictures are now on your phone! Simple. Easy. Quality photos. I love it! I can take a picture from extreme distance, and it still gives me quality pictures! Wish I have known about this camera sooner! I was definitely hesitant paying Over $ 500 for a camera.. But I definitely don't regret my decision!

Hi I’m in love with a camera and it is this one I took a chance and spent the money as a college student and I love every single feature it comes with it even comes with a button that will assist you in knowing it what the heck to do I love the telephoto lens I love the macro lens I am looking forward to purchasing an external flash but the Belton flash is just phenomenal so I can’t even imagine what 70s got in store for an external flash since I’m new to the photography seen but I did have a Canon M 50 and this one trumps it by far

I purchased this camera as a gift to my girl friend and I didn't know how to feel about it after reading all of the positive reviews that other people had about this camera. But when we started to use the camera it definitely exceeded my expectations. Amazing quality photos with the lenses, and phenomenal video quality. If you are looking to have an easy to carry camera for on the go, this is it.

I had my eye on this camera for months and waited until there was a worthwhile sale. It paid off with a great bundle price. Excellent camera so far, good lenses and easy to use if one takes the time to learn about it. Very versatile with many control alternatives. Good as a main camera for non pro's and good as a second camera for pro's. Love it.

I recieved this camera for Christmas after having had a Nex-5 for a few years, and I really like its style. I love the way my pictures turn out, and i really like all the features it has. I enjoy that it's east for a beginner to use, but can also be used as a semi-professional camera. It's also a LOT lighter than most Cannon cameras.

I normally shoot with nikon full frame, but i was quite impressed with quality of pics this little camera gives. The 11fps were great when shooting sports and i shot some waterfalls without using a tripod on very slow shutter speeds (very impressive). The only negative was it doesn't shoot that well in low light. But overall awesome camera for size and price!!!

I bought this camera for our family use, we are not photo savy but wanted to have a better quality camera to replace our usual cell phone pictures. It takes great quality pics and it is very easy to use. My 13 year old son grabbed it and without looking at any directions took some fantastic photos. We look forward to learning everything this can do.

Great camera for a beginner, and very easy to learn with a couple of video if you dont understand anything about photography. If you're looking to do videography however I wouldnt recommend this camera as every upgrade from this one has 4k and a mic input

Seems to be a wonderful camera so far. I am far from being a pro, but have not really took much time to get into this camera. It is far superior to any phone camera as you can see. I wanted a camera that would capture more than basic stuff. I have at least 1 or 2 really good photos so far of my dog, crystal clear. I have yet to explore all of the options on the phone. Theres a decent bit to working it all. I have the basics, photo and video, but need to learn more about the other options on here. I got a wonderful deal on this camera, brand new for $500. I was hooked up really good from the store. The manager worked with me very well to make up for a mistake. This was on sale for 300 off and they gave me another 200 off bringing it down to $500.

I am not wanting the a6300

I love this camera. I was worried about not waiting for the a6300. But I am more concerned with image quality. From my research they mostly the same in this regards. Yes the a6300 seems to show whites better when you pixel peep but this is not for professional use. I got mine open box and could not justify paying more than twice as much for the a6300. Now would I rather have a6300 of course. But I will wait. I sold the included lens and got a 35 mm 1.8 and I tried the 18-105 g for a while but sold that also. I just purchased the 18-200 off eBay. We shall see. I also have the Sony rx100 iv. As my everyday camera. Love that.

The Sony A6000 has a ton of bang for the buck. Small size and it takes incredible pictures. Several adjustments available though the built in menu but the auto modes take the best pictures. Love the two lenses I got with the package. Burst mode is really cool.

This camera is amazing. It is perfect as a point and shoot or the advanced photographer who wants full control. The image quality is incredible. It is better than my Canon DSLR (Rebel t2i). So easy to travel with, too. Well worth the money.

I used this camera professionally and the video and sound quality is superb. Really nice to use for casual video. The image stabilizer works well and the camera takes great images. 11fps is crazy fast. Make sure to get the high speed SD cards that can keep up. The lenses are sharp and compact, but I would prefer to have an ƒ2.8 in my bag. Consider a ƒ1.8 prime lens to shoot in really low light.

This mirror-less camera allows amateur and pro alike to obtain great photos in a variety of light challenges. From professional quality, studio shots, even multi-shot tripod study selfies or outdoor group shots capturing 5 at a time by using the flash to create a half second delay between each photo, and action photography to mist on the predawn waters of a lake, it can bring out the best of your composition. The pistol-shot fast auto-focus and ISO range create stunning pictures in extremely challenging settings, while the 25-55 and 50-200 high-quality lenses cover most of what the avid photographer on a budget, or traveling light will ever need
