Just recieved in the mail and this should be labled as open box trash. This is nowhere near open box excellent, im extremely disappointed with bestbuy on this purchase.

Most amazing camera I've ever owned, love the FX30. Nothing unexpected that I don't like about the camera. Image quality is amazing, autofocus is on point, cinema body is solid (and super cool), and overall it does exactly what I need. The only thing it leaves to be desired relates to its 1.5 crop sensor. I am looking for a full frame camera to take this camera's place as an A cam, but plan to keep this as a B cam. For my purpose shooting weddings, I feel I need a full frame sensor for a wider field of view and better low light capabilities.

Well built, many features(redundant with fx3), easy to use, but has capability for advanced users to get custom settings. Very modular software. Only complaint is the crop sensor and availability of lenses(full frame lenses are enlarged giving a 1.5x effect), but you have to pay to play. will definitely be upgrading to an FX3 soon. Nice B-roll or vlogger camera. Bought a few lenses from ebay and recently picked up some 7artisan and ttartisan lenses on the cheap, which was nice.

The FX30 is a solid camera option. My concerns were around the low-light performance, photo quality, and stabilization. I believe the FX30 is a great option for someone coming from a DSLR/Mirrorless platform. I am a Fujifilm, Lumix, Blackmagic, and Canon user. I was able to easily use the FX30 with no problem. Because I am often asked to Film with the option of photos I found my experience more than acceptable. The top handle was a strong option for getting great audio in many different scenarios. I would say great accessories will make this a better option. Low light is fixed by getting fast glass. Photo quality can be achieved in well-lit environments. The in-body stabilization is strong enough for many filming situations. In my opinion you can not get better tool fo the money.

Video shots are high quality, light weight camera. Very easy to use.

The more I use this camera, the more I fall in love with it. Multiple times this camera has come in clutch up against my friends/team who have BlackMagics. Love those cameras, but the FX30 simply performs better in certain situations due to practicality and design ergonomics. The autofocus is great, 10-Bit color is more than enough, but slap an Atomos Ninja V and get that 12-Bit ProRes Raw for the most flexibility (keep in mind the crop and implementing ProRes Raw into your workflow. I use Assimilate Play Pro). The lens selections are endless and super fun to mix and match. I am personally using the Sony 15mm G most often, as well as the Sirui Nightwalkers. The images I get are truly motivating keep on shooting. The ISO 2500 is more than enough. One thing about true cinematography is lighting. You should always be using lights for your scene for any type of shoot. ISO 12800 on the FF cameras are cool and impressive, but simply put, it means you don’t know how to expose your scene correctly. With the saved cash from buying an FX30 over an A7S3 or FX3, buy some lights like the Amaran 300C or other Aputure lights. You will thank me later. The handle is cool, but a little fragile, and completely unnecessary in real case scenarios. It’s handy in a pinch, but just buy an in camera mic for scratch audio or use a separate audio solution with a field recorder and shotgun + boom.

“Why didn’t Sony come out with these sooner”! Before these came out I was planning on buying the Sony FS5 which is their prior budget Super 35 Cinema line Camera. But the FX30 is newer and better than the FS5; also a little cheaper. Everything about this Camera I love the dual memory card slot’s! The XLR audio! I also love that there is two record buttons!

I was worried to move from a Sony FE to an E but the image of this camera is beautiful and the compromises of the smaller sensor are well worth it. The most impressive thing about this camera is price. Super high value!

It was a huge upgrade from the old canon I had. Both video and audio quality are impecable I can’t get enough of her. I’ve already used it to film and take pictures and every single take is high definition and good quality.

I heard this is close to the high-end FX3, Netflix approved camera. That meant the FX30 camera is good enough for high quality vlog, and HD contents. I'm using it for projection images and videos for theater stage. It works. The battery doesn't last more than a few hours. (That's why I rated 4 stars instead of 5). There are attachable batteries and I need to purchase to use it for a longer shooting. The camera was easy to learn and there're plenty of YouTube videos teaching how to do this and that.

So I’ve been running a Sony a6400 for a few years and decided to upgrade. For your money it’s hard to beat. The only down side is the low light performance that comes from an APS-C sensor (base ISO’s are 800-2500) . Other than that Sony did an incredible job with this camera ❤️
