The camera is lightweight. I liked that the menu is easy to navigate. The picture quality is good. I did notice that the autofocus can be a bit delayed. I purchased this as a replacement for an older model Nikon camera. The price point fit my budget. The optical zoom is decent. The box included a battery, a USB charging cable, and a wall adapter. Overall the camera fits my needs. I haven't been using it long but so far the pictures have been okay. I think depending on your exposure settings and environment you may need to color correct a photo. I also noticed that you may have a blurry photo due to the autofocus delay. The video quality is clear and the audio seems to be good. Overall the camera was okay and budget-friendly. One of the big cons I had was that the battery hatch is a bit easy to open. So this may need to be noted if you will use it with a tripod. The menu settings are easy to navigate and set up. I liked that the LCD screen has a brightness setting so you can adjust it to fit your needs. Thanks to its compact size it's portable.

Bought this camera to carry in my work bag and snap photos when the opportunity presents itself. My DSLR is wonderful, but just too large to carry around for occasional photos through the day. My phone camera is very convenient, but not very good at night shots. This camera is the perfect combination of both extremes. At 4 inches by 2.5 inches, it's small size is a definite plus. Slips into my work bag pocket without picking up a lot of space. I carry it easily in my shirt front pocket or pants pockets and hardly know it's there. Photos aren't DSRL quality, but that's expected with a camera this size and price range (though it's better than my phone camera with night shots). The only negative is the flash is situated in an awkward position in the front and my middle finger blocks the flash sometimes. Holding the camera one handed (in your right hand), most people put their thumbs on the back, index finger on the shutter button, and their other finger curl around the front and side of the camera. The problem is your fingers sometimes get in the way of the flash and your photo is only half lit or not lit at all. Use this camera with two hands and you should be okay.

I needed a back up camera since I use my regular camera quite often for my business and it was having some problems. This one fit the bill and was a great price also! It takes great photos and will work out well for my needs.

I expect a lot from sony as ive had some good items and my a6000 is really a good one. I had my doubts about the pics on here especially given the 90s release date for this model. As with all Sony items, this was way ahead of its time at that time. I do recommend the Intelligent Auto or Easy setting for most anything..I have had great luck with the Program mode i was concerned if it could take motion shots with my dog and for those i use snow or beach settings and it does fine

I was looking for an easy to use camera for a friend who is not very computer literate. She refuses to buy a smart phone, so a very simple camera was my next option. It is tiny like a phone would be and has an easy setting that makes the camera a simple point and shoot camera. It was reasonably priced and takes very nice pictures.

I really like this camera. The price was unbeatable. It is really easy to use and takes great pics. I haven't even started to use half the features because I haven't needed them. I recommend this camera for those who need quick, good pics. It is lightweight too!

I already have a couple of SLR cameras but the problem is that they are bulky and have to be around your neck making you look like paparazzi or a tourist. I wanted a camera that was compact, light, and took great shots without having to spend a lot of money. The answer was the Sony WSC-W800. It takes great photos at 20.1 MP, awesome videos. The microphone is okay and picks up sound very good. It has options such as continuous picture frame capture and takes excellent panoramic shots. It is very light weight and fits very discreetly in your hand or pocket. All of this for about $100 bucks. I know that a lot of people prefer cell phone cameras but for awesome pictures and value I recommend this camera. I am very happy with the value and performance of this product

I bought this camera for my 10 year old son and it is perfect for him. It is compact and light weight. Picture quality is good. Perfect for his needs. Definitely purchase the insurance plan to go along with it. I had previously purchased a canon camera for him last year and luckily purchased the insurance. The camera broke and I was able to use the insurance and got this camera for free, as the replacement.

I purchased this as a small, quick camera. I was hooked by the ISO 3200 setting, which allows me to take pictures in concert settings without a flash. It still requires a steady hand, but my cellphones were never able to produce any good photos in those low-light settings. Minor annoyances on first use: Don't try to remove what looks like a paper coating on the lens. It belongs there to protect the lens cover. Also, the battery can be inserted the wrong way or the right way. Double-check the contacts to make sure you get it right. These are only first-time problems. I got a great price on this camera at Best Buy, and it is so tiny that it has become my go-to camera when I don't want to haul around a large SLR. Picture quality is excellent, and you can go full auto or manually set everything. It holds your manual settings even if you power "off." It uses SD cards, which are affordable.

Had a Kodak friendly user camera for over 10 years and didn't think I could find another one so easy to use. But when I had to get a new one, looked all the cameras over and like my little Sony. Easy, friendly and best of all its small. Can slip it into my pocket or purse. Great pictures, clear, videos are great!

I was very pleased with my selection. I had a Nikon digital camera that I really liked. The battery lid broke and was not fixable. I saw this camera at a good price and decided to try it. The pictures are just as good as my older camera and has a rechargeable battery so I do not have to worry about the battery lid breaking because I just plug the charger cord in my computer to charge it. It is smaller and easily fits in a pocket.

I simply wanted a quick and easy to use camera that also had the ability to easily transfer images to my computer. This camera is pretty great with 2 minor issues. 1) The cable used to charge it is a special USB cable so if you lose it you can't easily replace it, stores like best buy don't have it "in store." Or at least not in my area, I checked. 2) You have to buy a separate SD card, OK I get that, but then you also need a computer with an SD card reader built in, or you will have to purchase a USB card reader, which was my solution, to transfer the images to your computer.. All in all I'm happy with the camera, image quality is great for the price. One last comment - pick up a camera case when you buy this. CSJ
