I a Sony camcorder and the battery that came with it only lasted just over an hour. I initially went online and bought an "off brand" of larger replacement battery and, although it was a good price, it did not work at all. I decided to go back to Best Buy and buy the Sony brand of larger replacement battery. I am extremely happy. The battery lasts for about 7 hours of recording time.

I like the additional several hours: just not the size and weight...

Two of these provided power for a day shooting drag racing event, Will upfit to Sony Prosumer camera I plan to purchase. Careful planing of shots for longest life.Full recharge time rather long.

Once the battery is charged it's set to go for several hours and you don't have to worry about charging again quickly for the next use.

I'm happy with my pricey purchase of this battery. It gave me about 10 hours of battery time so I could record 3 away soccer games, a little interview time and some party time. All on one charge. Next week will be th real test. Talent shows!

I typically will choose off-brands for situations where mission critical isn't well, critical. Batteries are critical and Sony's last a long time on a single charge. Best Buy has a great selection of Sony batteries

I bought this for commercial/industrial use and have had great ratio of hours use/charge so far. Couldn't really get job done without it.

This battery fits well in our Sony Handycam. It sticks out more than a shorter lasting battery, but well worth it to be able to video for a longer time.

I don't have a new camera, so I didn't think I would be able to find a long lasting battery, but this one is great! I can record many matches of my daughter's games without out having to change batteries.

This is a must have spare item for your camcorder. I'm getting about 4 hours of start and stop use while recording volleyball matches. Takes about an hour to fully charge up.

Although I wasn't intending to spend quite this much on a battery pack, I needed one that would allow me to film an entire day w/o recharging...it definitely did the job with battery life left over.

Bought as a main battery for a sony pj230. Battery that comes with camera is good as a back up battery. There pricey but try to watch for a good deal if you want the extra battery life.

I am thoroughly satisfied with this product. It's a little expensive, but worth the money. I can make recordings now without having to constantly change the battery.

Needed a battery so we were not continually changing batteries. Lasted longer than expected on a charge. Never had to switch to back up battery on a 4 day trip.

This battery has become something I rely on. With 90 min of continual use it still had a lot of life left. Takes a while to recharge though.

We bought this along with the wall charger for those longer recording sessions and for the convenience of recharging both batteries simultaneously if needed. Best Buy matched the price and gave better service to boot.
