Right out of the gate the DualSense Edge surprised me with its feel in the hand. The grip is comfortable and slippy-resistant, and when you’re in the heat of a session you notice the difference. On this front, it builds on the solid base of the original DualSense, but takes it up a notch. I found myself more relaxed during longer play sessions. Fewer hand-itches, less wrist fatigue, more confidence in my inputs. What sets this controller apart are the features geared toward serious play. Swappable stick modules, magnetic and lever rear paddles, and trigger hair-locks give you tools to tailor the controller to your style. For example: you can shorten trigger travel for faster firing in shooters, or swap stick types for more “snappy” analog response. The PS5 (and PC) integration is smooth — you can program multiple profiles (ideal for switching between FPS, platformer, and racing setups) and flip between them mid-game. The software is straightforward, which means you spend less time fiddling and more time playing. In my time with the controller, the benefit of the above customization became tangible. In competitive matches I felt sharper: faster trigger pulls, less “dead zone” in analogs, the rear paddles allowing actions (jump, crouch, reload) without lifting thumbs from sticks. The “pro” feeling is real. No product is perfect, and the DualSense Edge has a few areas where you may need to temper expectations: Battery life: While fine for many, wireless sessions tend to run ~5-8 hours depending on vibration/haptics usage. This is a step down from some peers. Weight: It has a heftier feel (because of the added features), so if you prefer ultra-light controllers you may notice it. Rear paddle layout: Some competitive-style gamepads offer more paddles or different configurations; the Edge has solid offerings, but it’s not “every possible configuration.”

Personally, I don't think it gets any better than this for PS5 gamers. Pros - This controller feels great. It is bigger and heavier than the DualSense which may not work for some with smaller hands, but mine are big with long fingers and this thing feels elite. Sturdy and solid with a little weight to it, while also tactile and nimble. Other controllers I've used (AIM, SCUF, BB) have either felt too light and frail or too heavy and bulky. Button response is phenomenal. Adjustable triggers, thumbsticks and paddles (2 types), a cable security attachment for wired connection, mappable buttons with hot keys for some, a hub within PlayStation to fine tune deadzones and more, AND an included travel case... there really is a ton of value here with an already stellar product. I've been using this thing for a month and don't really have anything bad to say about it other than it being a bit pricey, which has not been the case with other pro controllers I've owned. If you're a PS5 gamer looking to grab your first big boy controller, don't overthink it. Sony really hit the nail on the head here and you won't be disappointed. Fuller feel in the hands. The back buttons are a nice feature. Details throughout controller. Easy to customize and set the controller to your preferences with button layout and analog stuck motions. Maybe the only downside is battery life is shorter compared to the original controller but with the amount of features this controller has it makes sense. Braided usb cord. Case for the controller. Overall a great buy.

Coming from a customer who normally buys a scuf controller, the dualsense edge is a really good product. It comes with a carrying case, extra paddles, charger and even comes with extra joy sticks so you can customize the feel of the controller. I had purchased this controller not knowing what to expect and boyyy was I satisfied. It was quick and easy to set up along with the different profiles you can customize. My only complaint with this controller would be the battery life. The battery life on this controller isn’t the best with minimal settings you can probably get up to 6 yes I said 6 hours of gameplay. Which isn’t much when you’re playing games like call of duty, battlefield etc. for the price I recommend it. However take into account the battery life I would spend a little extra and purchase a scuf controller but this controller is solid. Would recommend if you don’t have the money to invest into a different brand of controllers. And also this controller is sleek and elegant as well.

I bought the new black color the day it came out. I took back my white dual sense edge since i had the Best Buy 2 year replacement warranty. They moved the position of the paddles on the back to be more comfortable and fit your hand better. Its a game changer. I had a scuf envision pro and it got stick drift within 4 months. My 1st dual sense edge lasted 18 months and never got stick drift. The only thing wrong with it was the battery charging was intermittent so i took it back and got the new black one. Worth the money. I mainly play COD on PC and it works perfect. I do have a PS5 also so i was able to plug it in to that and update the software and map the buttons to my liking. The button map xfers over to pc which is awesome! If you purchase it make sure to get the extended warranty!

Excellent controller. I love it. I was a little worried about the battery life it last about six hours. But they send you a very good long charging cable. With a special clip to hold it to the controller. You can completely configure the controller to your way to play. Different hight thumb sticks and couple different bottom buttons. It all comes in a really nice carry case. Removable thumb sticks so easy replacement. Very happy with this purchase.

The DualSense Edge controller is a definitively “cool” first-party controller with an above-average experience, relative to Sony’s basic controllers. The two extra paddles frequently leave me wanting for the four provided by Xbox’s Elite controller, but they are serviceable and feel good to use like the rest of the controller. The battery life, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Within a matter of two hours of gameplay, the battery is already on its last leg. This controller lands squarely within the “cool to have” category in which most of my electronic gadgets reside. If you don’t mind the Xbox stick layout, the Nacon Revolution 5 controller has better value, else this controller will fill the void.

Great customization and handfeel. Love this in black as with white you had to content with it getting kind of less than pristine looking after a while. Analog sticks continue to be drift magnets, but at least you can replace them. Being able to deadzone away stick drift for a while before a replacement is needed is pretty nice too. The rubber on the hand grips tends to start peeling off from the back after lots of use, but I feel like I get decent value for the price on these. All the per-game control scheme stuff is super handy. Not the best pro controller I've ever used, but for a first party one it is solid.

I’ve been using the Sony Interactive Entertainment DualSense Edge Wireless Controller Midnight Black for a while now, and it honestly feels like a premium upgrade over the standard PS5 controller. The build quality is excellent, the customizable buttons and trigger stops make a huge difference in competitive games, and the Midnight Black design looks incredibly clean. The controller is also very comfortable for long gaming sessions, and the responsiveness feels top-tier whether playing on PS5 or PC. Battery life could always be better because apparently advanced technology still fears lasting an entire weekend, but overall it’s one of the best high-end controllers available right now.

The controller is cool and you can tell it’s higher quality than normal. A few issues though, it’s a little heavy and while I’m used to it now I prefer the original controllers weight. And the other 2 issues go hand in hand. The FN buttons are placed horribly for how little they are used. I can no longer use my razer quick charger because of the placement and it’s an even worse problem with this controller because the battery life is worse than the regular controller. This causes me to have to play with it plugged i. With the conveniently included cable lock lol. Almost a good controller, but for the price I’m kind of wishing I got something else…

My experience with the DualSense Edge is short, like a month short but so far I can definitely see myself using this every day. I've used it for Warzone and Death Stranding 2. The controller feels great in my hand and having the customization options is a game changer for me. I have two previous DualSense controllers that still work but have the dreaded stick drift. I saw this on sale and the added $10 off with my chase points, this came out to almost $8 dollars out of pocket. If you are frequently playing video games, have stick drift issues and find this controller on a good deal, pick it up. But if you don't, I'd say wait or pass on it. Spending $200 ok n a controller in this day and age can break the bank. But it's a great controller none the less.

First things first, just the ability to swap the sticks out is a huge plus. Simple connectivity on both console & PC. The adjustable triggers and extra buttons for remapping are great enhancements over the regular dualsense. This black one fit my game room aesthetic perfectly and allowed me to use my white one solely for my PS5 Pro.

The DualSense Edge feels premium and plays like a dream. Custom profiles, swappable sticks, and back buttons give it a pro-level edge. Battery life is shorter than the standard controller, but the features make up for it. Pricey, but worth it if you’re serious about gaming.

Sony didn’t Skip out on anything, when they Designed these. You get a Customizable Controller with a simple Design and Feel of the PlayStation Controllers that comes with the PS5. It comes in Two Colors, Midnight Black and White and you can also use it with your PS4, PC, Mac and Smartphone. So do with that what you want, you can’t go wrong with this Baby.

I brought 2 (white & black)I’ll never play with any other controller again. Yes it’s a bit pricey, but I wouldn’t buy one for younger children…it comes with a very protective case with everything thing needed to customize button layouts, triggers stops, and and switchable analog sticks & back paddles!!! You will not be disappointed… Unless u suck at gaming and looking for new excuses to explain your lack of skills lol‼️

I love this controller it adds buttons on the back and allows you to customize the buttons and the trigger settings a great addition to any PS5 gaming set up and better yet the thumb sticks are replaceable if you ever get the dreaded stick drift.
