I'm a big fan of Sony and their products, as they are well known for their quality and performance for a person who has being using their products for years now. After unboxing the monitor, I was impressed by its build quality, neat design, and ease of assembly. Assembly is straightforward and doesn't require much work. From the first minute of using it, I fell in love with this PlayStation-branded 27" gaming monitor. It combines a sharp QHD display, a high refresh rate, and several unique PlayStation-specific features that I really like. This monitor features a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, which looks great. The image is sharp, and the details are crisp. Since the focus of this monitor is the balance between image quality and gaming performance, the monitor really shines with its 240Hz refresh rate. 240Hz is more than what my PS5 needs, since the PS5 and PS5 Pro support up to 120Hz. But, for PC gaming is perfect. Combined with VRR support, my gameplay experience felt smooth and responsive, and the colors looked great. I also like the Auto HDR Tone Mapping feature, which doesn't require any extra work to adjust or configure HDR settings. Once the monitor is connected, the PS5 console can automatically configure the HDR settings during initial setup, which is convenient. The unique feature of this PlayStation-focused monitor is the built-in DualSense charging dock. It may look like a simple feature, but it provides a convenient way to charge the controller. In addition, having a complete PlayStation-focused monitor with its own charging dock makes this a must-have for PlayStation fans. The monitor also has plenty of connectivity options, including 2 HDMI ports, 1 DisplayPort, 1 USB, and an audio output. Not to forget, the monitor has a built-in speaker. While it doesn't deliver signature sound, it's still a nice feature to have when I do not have to use my headphones. Overall, the monitor has a clean, minimalist design, and the stand provides height and tilt adjustment. The combination of the DualSense charging dock, noticeably high refresh rate, QHD resolution makes it a great choice, especially considering its reasonable price. The monitor also supports VESA wall mounting. One wish I have, however, is the ability to adjust the display brightness, color, and other picture settings directly from the PlayStation console or possibly a remote instead of having to use the joystick on the back of the monitor. Other than that, I am super happy with the monitor as it completes my PlayStation full set (Console, monitor, earbuds, headphones).

It doesn’t get any better than this. If you are looking for a smaller screen or desktop display for your PS5, stop looking. This is the display you want. This 27” screen is superb, as I expected this Sony product to be. It is the perfect match for your PlayStation. This item comes packaged as well as any company could package a monitor. Prefect. Super safe and sound and everything laid out perfect. Setup took just a few minutes. The stand was easy to mount to the display and it was up and running in under 5 minutes. The height adjustments is key on any display, and this doesn’t disappoint. Super easy to move up and down and tilt left and right. As for the display itself, it looks amazing. Sony does not disappoint. The color clarity and contrast are spot on. Colors are accurate and bright and contrast is near perfect. Even the smallest details were easy to see and displayed perfectly. Motion is top notch and near flawless. I could not see any noticeable lagging at all. Characters moved across the screen with grace and zero blur. The built in speakers sound very good and are more than adequate for most games. The sound won’t blow you away but functions well. The display itself looks great and matches the PS5 perfectly. They are made for each other. The built in charging stand for your controller is a nice little feature. If you are looking for a display that is not a huge TV, this is it. There is no better option, especially at this price point. Don’t hesitate. Just get it. You will not be disappointed! Sony does not disappoint with this display!!!

Gaming Monitors are a great way to enjoy some more focused gaming, and do it at a desk setup along with your other tech. I was very curious about this new PS5 gaming monitor and I got to say its been a lot of fun and I can see why Sony made it! PROS: - Opening this out of the box, it is a lovely made piece of tech. Love the white back with black accent that pairs perfectly with the PS5 look as well. It does not feel cheap at all, very sturdy and well made! - Setup was really simple, just hook up the arm (or you can mount it if you want) and no tools needed. - The connections are awesome too with a lot of versatility on what you want to connect and how you want to connect to this monitor. - One of the stars of this setup is the drop down controller charger. Just a perfect way to give your controller some power between game play and looks really nice and elegant. - Of course playing games, I was a little weary that it would just look ok but I was truly impressed with how nice the screen looked! 1440p, HDR, with 240hz, you can really tell how smooth it is and how nicely the game play is. I thought the colors popped, the detail was in every shot, and I never thought the game play lagged whatsoever! - The speakers were also surprisingly great! Monitor speakers aren't always amazing but I really did not have any issues having these monitors be the main drivers and really helped me feel immersed. - Outside of gaming - this was a great just monitor as well for work, streaming, or content creation. I switched from PlayStation 5, to computer, to tablet and had no issues at all. CONS: - I wish there was an option to control the volume of the monitor with your Playstation rather than going into the monitor setting every time. Feels like an easy firmware update though! BOTTOM LINE: - People play their PlayStation in a variety of ways, and this is an excellent way to improve your setup. The screen provides really clear crisp detail with very smooth gameplay. The speakers are loud but in a good way and really help with the total immersion. And overall some nice additions with the controller charger and multiple connection points. I've really enjoyed having this at my desk and I think this will be a great addition for a lot of people.

Im very surprise to see that Playstation made a dedicated monitor that complements its gaming console, but here we are with Playstation 27inc gaming monitor with DualSense charging hook. When you see it, it all makes sense specially for avid Playstation gamer to complete their setup. Price is also very competitive for a gaming monitor, Playstation made this monitor very convenient for users with features such as Auto HDR tone mapping, VRR, HDMI 2.1, 120hz support on PS5 and built in DualSense charging. A worthy to be a considerable product for us gamer. PRODUCT & FEATURES: Playstation Gaming Monitor is 27’ inc, 2560 x 1440p IPS panel with maximum refresh rate of 240Hz. But the 240Hz you would need a gaming PC to experience that because PS5 is only capable of outputting up to 120Hz. Monitor also supports variable refresh technologies including AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync that can be fully activated on your PC. 27’ inc I think is the sweet spot specially gaming on a desk, the picture looks sharp clean on running on PS5. The Design is hands down one of the best part about this monitor it literally has the same design aspect as a PS5 console. Same white and black aesthetic associated with the PS5 and DualSense, it has been design to belong beside the console instead of looking like a random device. Which it works so beautifully. Theres not amount of pictures setting to mess with but you get most of the standard features that most monitor have from brightness, contrast, sharpness, saturation, gamma and volume. The monitor is rated about 350 nits, HDR does improve the image but for me still fairly weak. Im glad Sony did offer Auto HDR tone Mapping that helps calibrate specifically for this monitor. I connected my PS5 and Auto HDR Tone Mapping was automatically applied, no manual work needed. Having that feature just add deeper contrast and much better highlights when gaming. EXPERIENCE: For and IPS I think the colors looks good when gaming with PS5, it was vibrant plus the native 1440p games I tested looks sharp including God of War, Spiderman 2, Returnal. Having VRR also eliminate tearing and inconsistent frame pacing. The best part of this monitor again is the Auto HDR tone mapping which really does improve contrast and highlights in HDR games. Having it on and off you will see the difference of the presentation and I highly recommend to keep it on at all times. I tested the 120hz VRR which most Sony games supports it it runs very well with this console. The main thing I don’t like it’s the IPS blooming that very noticeable, its very obvious during gaming at night in a dark room. I was getting major blooming on each corner of the monitor. So it makes games kinda flat sometimes and bothers me. CONCLUSION: As a whole I think Sony did a great job making a PS5 focused gaming monitor. Just love how everything match and works together. The 1440p resolution looks sharp at 27”inc, it has HDMI 2.1, HDR support, I was also been testing the DualSense charging that’s built in and works well. I think the monitor produced a great looking colors the picture quality is overall vibrant and looks natural to the eyes. But having 350 nits that’s pretty low for me, then you get hit with the blooming during the night it kinda stop your experience. I had a good overall experience its still a great monitor to own if youre a fan of Playstation, this monitor can also be use as a PC monitor where you can unable 240Hz, I just wish the monito have local dimming, IPS just produce that black glow in dark rooms, if you game in 1440p then I think its another monitor to consider but for the price I think theres also other contender out there that can compete with this monitor the main selling point for this monitor is the built I charger for your controller, auto HDR tone mapping. Overall good attempt from sony hope they refine it more in the future with different panel types, give gamer more options in the future.

I’ve been really excited to review this monitor because on paper it feels like Sony designed it specifically for someone who wants a PS5 setup at a desk without making it feel like a compromise. Starting with the design, the stand is probably one of my favourite features. It feels sturdy, has good cable management, and gives you a lot of flexibility with the tilt, swivel, and its pivot. Sony also did a good job with the connections and keeping everything accessible without making the back of the monitor feel cluttered. Regarding the monitor itself, the 27-inch matte 1440p display looks exceptionally good when gaming. Out of the box, I did find the image a little too sharp for my liking. The default sharpness was set at 50, but after some tinkering, I decided that bringing it down to 30 made the image look a lot more natural. Once again, gaming is where the monitor really looks its best. I played the game Spider-Man 2, and the motion handling immediately stood out. Swinging through the city felt extremely smooth, and there were moments where I actually preferred the motion on the monitor than I did on my Mini RGB TV. This monitor has HDR, VRR, and FreeSync support, so the overall experience feels responsive and premium. The only downside that came across while testing is contrast when watching movies. Most notably the letterbox bars. Blacks don’t have the same amount of depth that you’ll get from a premium OLED or a high-end TV, so if you’re coming from those TVs, you’ll definitely notice a difference. But in my honest opinion, that concern is pretty negligible. The built-in speakers surprised me a little bit, though. The mids and highs actually sound pretty good, and dialogue comes through clear, but the bass is pretty subdued. If you’re casually gaming, they are usable. If you’re someone who really depends on sound for atmosphere and immersion, I recommend using a gaming headset or adding some external speakers with a sub. This monitor does feature USB, USBC, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so the choice is yours. My favourite feature is the retractable dual sense charging hook that swivels out from behind the monitor. It’s a simple idea, but it’s super practical. You can swivel it out when you need it and hide it when you don’t. It feels like one of those features that make you wonder why gaming monitor companies haven’t done that before. Overall, I think this is a really good monitor for someone building a PS5 desk setup. For the price, you’re getting a 1440 P display with HDR VRR free sync solid ergonomics built-in speakers. It’s a genuinely thoughtful PlayStation specific features. While the contracts could be better and the speakers aren’t gonna replace a true audio setup, none of those things took away from my enjoyment while using it. This is definitely a recommend. 4.25/5

The Playstation monitor is a great choice for people who prefer to game on a desk vs a TV as it gives you great resolution and surprisingly better sound quality than most other monitors. Setup is quick and easy especially if you have assembled monitors before. It is completely tool less. Something that I like is that even though you can adjust the height, it has a push button unlock to let the screen go all the way down. This is for people who forget about the hanging charger dongle and it will stop itself so it doesn't break it. Performance is great but slightly misleading. Plastered on the box lets you know the screen will be 2k (1440P) 240hz. The reg PS5 will only get you 60hz, Pro will go up to 120hz and you will have to use it as a PC monitor to take advantage of the 240hz range. Also a couple of things that annoyed me to warrant removing a start. 1st is that the picture on the box is a little wrong as it shows an almost near bezel-less design when in fact it has a large bezel shown in my pics (Wolverine ad background). 2nd is for a great IPS screen, there is a LOT of light edge bleeding. NOW the pic of Oblivion that shows the light bleeding is showing it kinda exaggerated when I took the pic on my phone and in person it is slightly less noticeable but night or scenes with blacks will look grayish. Gaming and streaming videos is perfectly fine and look great. No artifacting or ghosting at all. The speakers were a surprise as 99% of screen speakers are horrible and need headphones or a sound system, but the build in ones sounded perfectly adequate. The charger for the Dual Sense is a cool feature. When not in use you can rotate it to hide it behind the monitor. The controller will continue to charge even when the screen is not in use. Always good to know you have a fully charged controller when you start your gaming session.

This is a really great PS5 Gaming Monitor. It was super easy to setup and is also easy to adjust, both height and tilt. All I had to do was plus my PS5 into power and into the HDMI port and it was ready to go. The monitor also feels very high quality but is also super thin at the same time. The PS5 Pro also looks fantastic on the monitor. The colors and graphics look just as good as any other high end gaming monitor. The charging hook/cradle for the PS5 controller is also a really nice touch. It is a little difficult at first to figure out how to attach the controller but once I figured it out, it was really easy each time afterward. It also appears to charge the controller even when the monitor is off which is a nice feature. It’s the perfect accessory for using the PS5 on the road or if you need to use it another room where there isn’t a TV. It also has built-in sound which is also a really great feature. The sound quality is also really good for the size of the monitor. I highly recommend this monitor!

This monitor is a dream come true for a PlayStation fanatic. This monitor is a good option for PS5 owners who want a clean, desktop-friendly setup with sharp visuals and smooth gameplay with a built-in DualSense remote control charging hook. It is designed to fit perfectly with the PlayStation ecosystem, and while it may not have every extra feature you can find on some competing monitors, it covers the important stuff well. The 27-inch IPS display is a great size for a desk. It is large enough to feel immersive while still being comfortable to sit close to. The QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution gives games a sharp, detailed look. The colors look bright, viewing angles are good, and HDR support adds some extra depth to compatible games, especially in darker scenes or games with a lot of visual detail. Sony also includes Auto HDR Tone Mapping for PS5, which helps dial in HDR settings when you connect the console. Gameplay: Gameplay feels smooth and responsive, especially in compatible games that support up to 120 Hz on PS5. Fast-moving action, racing games, sports games, and shooters all benefit from the higher refresh rate. Everything looks cleaner in motion, and controls feel a little more responsive compared with playing at 60 Hz. If you also game on a compatible PC or Mac, the monitor can go all the way up to 240 Hz. That makes it a nice option if you want one screen for your PS5 and computer setup. It also supports Variable Refresh Rate, which helps cut down on screen tearing and keeps gameplay looking smoother when the frame rate moves around. Just keep in mind that the PS5 is limited to 120 Hz, so the 240 Hz refresh rate is mostly a bonus for PC gaming. This monitor is useful for more than just PS5 gaming. It has two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, USB ports, a headphone jack, and built-in speakers. That gives you plenty of flexibility if you want to connect a PS5, PC, Mac, streaming device, or another console without constantly unplugging things. The stand also gives you height and tilt adjustments, and you can VESA-mount it if you prefer using a monitor arm. Charging Hook: The foldable DualSense charging hook is probably the feature that makes this monitor stand out the most. It folds out from underneath the monitor and gives you a place to hang and charge your DualSense or DualSense Edge controller. It is a nice way to keep your desk a little cleaner and make sure your controller is charged for the next gaming session. That said, it does feel a little gimmicky. It is definitely convenient, but it is not something I would buy the monitor for by itself. A separate charging stand or a USB-C cable will do the same job. Still, it is a cool extra, especially if you like keeping everything in one place. Overall, the Sony PlayStation 27-inch Gaming Monitor is a good choice if you want a sharp QHD IPS display, HDR support, VRR, and smooth high-refresh-rate gameplay in a monitor that looks right at home next to a PS5.

Monitors and TVs are a dime a dozen, it takes a lot for one to stand out from any other these days. But this is a unique offering that is well worth the look. Packaging: To start, the packaging is similar though not identical to any other monitor, however it's worth noting that it opens like a lid rather than sliding out of a narrow box, so it's actually somewhat easy to accidentally cause the monitor to drop out of the box if you dont realize how it opens. Outside of that it includes all the important things, HDMI cable, power, stand and the monitor itself. Use: Obviously it's a monitor so it kinda 'just works'. Hook up the HDMI to your playstation or other source, select the input and you're good to go. The monitor has a 2560x1440 resolution, and while that isn't 4k this allows it to have a higher refresh rate (240hz, though the PS5 is limited to 120hz but this can display it easily) and remain affordable unlike 4k options, and since it's only 27" 4K wouldn't really benefit you. The monitor itself has an arm that swings down and can charge your PlayStation controller. It really was focused on the user interaction in a near-seated environment rather than hooking it up across the room, so if you have your playstation on your desk or something, this is an ideal choice, or if space is at a premium like in a dorm room. The image is gorgeous, and the monitor has multiple inputs so you could easily use it for your playstation and other game systems or a PC as well. There's really no limit. Overall: It's an excellent choice as either a PlayStation monitor or as a high quality general use or gaming monitor, there's nothing here that says you cant do everything with it. The lean towards small spaces and potentially dorm-room deployments is obvious if you're playing a PlayStation on a smaller screen like this, especially with the dualshock controller charging hook. Overall it's a great option for any of these scenarios.

This is a great monitor if you're like me and game on both a PS5 and a PC. The 1440p screen is clear and crisp without text looking pixelated. When hooking it up to your PS5, it auto sets the HDR levels for you if you're into using HDR. Also on PS5 you can use VRR and 120hz settings, which some games make use of by offering a special "Balanced" graphics setting that offers higher graphic fidelity than Performance mode but capped at 40fps for a smoother picture than the 30fps quality modes. On the PC side of things, it offers 240hz and the VRR has worked great with my Nvidia card even though this monitor is not stated as officially being Gsync compatible. It has built in speakers, which is nice, but you're probably better off using a headset or your own speakers. I love the little charging hook which is great for keeping my PS5 Dualsense Edge controller topped off when I'm not using it. My only real minor complaint is that I personally wish the screen was a little brighter, but that's really up to personal taste. I would recommend this monitor for the PC and PS5 combo or if you're just looking to game on your PS5 at a desk, this monitor will do just great.

The PlayStation monitor is a nice option if you want something that feels specifically designed around the PS5 rather than just using a regular computer monitor. The fold-down DualSense charging dock is a neat addition. It tucks away behind the monitor when you’re not using it, and the controller sits securely once you place it on the charger. It doesn’t click into place or give you much feedback that it’s connected, but it works well and seems fairly secure. The display itself looks very good. I love the thin bezels, gives it a really clean design, and a good amount of height and tilt adjustment. The stand feels solid and is easy to reposition. There is also a locking mechanism to hold the height position in place. One thing that confused me at first was the refresh rate. The monitor supports up to 120 Hz with a PS5, but the PS5 doesn’t constantly force output at 120 Hz the way a computer does. Most of the time the monitor will show 60 Hz unless you’re playing a game that specifically supports 120 Hz output. In Dragon’s Dogma 2, for example, I had to go into the game’s settings and enable the higher refresh-rate option before the monitor switched to 120 Hz. I also had to go through the PS5 video settings and run the display test before I had HDR and the available refresh-rate options set up correctly. It wasn’t difficult, but the initial setup is a little less obvious than I expected. The monitor was also very bright out of the box. I ended up lowering the brightness to around 70 despite Sony recommending to keep it at max brightness. I felt the higher setting made some games look a little washed out. Once I adjusted it, I was much happier with the picture. The built-in speakers are surprisingly decent for monitor speakers, but the volume controls are probably my biggest complaint. There isn’t a dedicated volume rocker or set of volume buttons. You have to use the joystick on the back of the monitor to go into the menu and then adjust the volume. It works, but it feels unnecessarily awkward, especially since the monitor doesn’t come with a remote. A simple volume rocker would have made a lot more sense. Connectivity is good. Along with HDMI and DisplayPort, the monitor also has USB connections, including a USB-B upstream port that lets you connect the monitor to your PlayStation or computer and use the USB ports on the monitor for accessories. Overall, I like the monitor. The DualSense charger is useful, the picture looks good once you get the settings where you want them, the stand is well designed, and it works well with the PS5. The main things holding it back for me are the awkward volume controls and the somewhat confusing setup around HDR and refresh rates

There is a lot to like about this PlayStation monitor. It is right sized at 27’, has a fold out charging hook for a DualSense controller, matches the color scheme of the PS5 itself, has slim bezels, and a great looking panel. I am not in general a fan of IPS screens as I don’t prefer the inherent tradeoff that they have of sacrificing contrast for color and viewing angle, but this one is better than most others I have tried in the past. It still has worse blacks than I would have liked, but they are at least a very dark grey. Unfortunately it cannot overcome the orangey IPS glow and light bloom that these panels are known for. VRR and 1440P combine well on my PS5 Pro, making for very crisp high frame visuals. The PS5 automatically calibrated HDR and while it will let you make tweaks as well I found it to be correct to my eye right out of the gate. It is very well packaged and easy to setup, including the power supply, USB cable, sturdy adjustable stand, and some light instructions. It has two HDMI ports, a USB hub feature with a pair of ports, a headphone jack, and rear mounted toggle controls. It does have built in speakers that support 3D audio, but even that feature cannot overcome how small and basic they are. Definitely plan on using a headset with this screen, the speakers are convenient but that’s about it. I’ve been playing Marvel’s Wolverine on it slowly since it released and it looks and plays great on this screen. Overall I have some complaints such as the panel type and the poor speakers, but it does have great features particularly the controller charger, shares the familial look with the PS5 itself, and is very easy to use. I’d recommend it for desk-based PlayStation gaming, but maybe not for anything else.

Quality is top notch it feels expensive! exactly what you would expect of a Sony product. looks great, set up is a breeze. visuals on the monitor are incredible, HDR support, high refresh rate etc. the built in controller charger is awesome, folds out of the way when you don't want to use it. couldnt be happier with it!
