Super Cool & Great Sound

I recently received my Sony Glass speaker & I have been extremely happy with it. Everything we have attempted to listen to with it, whether that is an audiobook or country music or rock music or pop music or even hip hop music has all sounded really great on it.
The system is super easy to set up & pairing it to our phones has been a breeze. Once you download the Sony app for this speaker you can actually link more of these together for an even more large sound but I have yet to do that as the cost seems pretty restrictive in doing so right now. But I would love to see a setup like that & better yet to hear a setup like that!
The included candle or steady lighting is cool. Though I am not 100% sure the flickering that happens "to the music" is 100% accurate...it seemed a little too repetitive no matter what music I was listening to. Not a huge deal & I could be wrong about it not appearing to change much.
There speaker has ways to control various functions on the body of the speaker as well as within the Sony app. I even have the option to turn off the slider that is physically located on the speaker when I am within the app, which is kind of cool because I kept hitting that and had wanted to do so anyway. Nice little surprise for sure.
All in all I am extremely happy with this Sony speaker & glad to have it as part of our home!

Candlelight Music

Aesthetically appealing, solid construction with fantastic sound. Resembling a hurricane lamp, the glass-cylinder enclosed LED provides an added touch that differentiates this speaker from all of the other cylindrical/tower Bluetooth speakers on the market. Sound quality is top notch, well balanced with good channel separation and definition. The LED feature Makes This a Winner. All settings are good but the flickering Candle Light mode is my favorite
Issues:
Touch Bar is difficult to use with the supplied USB-C cable plugged in. No issues when unplugged. Sensitivity is fine.
Music playback stops (pauses) unless Bluetooth Connection Quality in "Other Settings" is set to "Priority on Stable Connection"
Expensive. Multiple units linked together would be great for a dinner party but at $350 each...??? If the price doesn't choke you, this is a very nice speaker.

Different unique look

I had high hopes for this as it has a unique look and I had hoped for the price point it would have superior sound as well. I am a little disappointed in both. It looks much bigger in the photo. I am a little concerned that it may be quite fragile. It is quite heavy and appears that it would be stable but I am not about to knock it over to find out. As far as the sound goes it has a broad spectrum of sound but it lacks some punch. Even when you download the app and and use the enhanced bass. Speaking of the app, it is quite easy to manage and use and has many useful features for the speaker. The light in the glass area is not as elaborate or vibrant as described online. I have not had the opportunity to use it for a phone call at this time so I can't comment on that feature. It is a conversation piece due to the different look. I think it would look good in a very modern setting due to it's shape and look. Battery life does seem to be as advertised and it does come with a nice looking USB-C cord but no power block so you do have to supply your own. Overall I feel it is nice but not as nice as it should be for the price point.

Just OK

I was really hoping for some good things with this speaker. It is a portable bluetooth speaker. It is heavy enough to be sturdy but not bulky. The candlight feature is sort of neat. The sound that comes from this speaker is not all that great, especially considering some of the other portable "smart" speakers on the market. (This is NOT a smart home speaker) The shape supposedly helps the sound "fill the room" It does sound equally ok wherever you happen to be in relation to the speaker. The control knobs are sort of hard to see and utilize. It easily paired with my MacBook. However, I found that I was not able to control the sound of the speaker from the computer I had to adjust it on the speaker itself, an unusual find on a bluetooth device I think. You can control the light that is emitted with a flick of your finger which also seems kind of odd. There is a SONY music app that you can control the speaker from on your iPhone or other smart device. It does consistently play the full range, whether it is high notes or low notes, or jamming bass this little speaker will put it out. It does not sound distorted when the volume is loud. Unfortunately I found that this speaker just underwhelms. Fully charged the speaker played for about an hour before it needed to be recharged.
