I finally dusted off my classic vinyl records and old turntable. The turntable did not fare too well after almost 30 years in storage. I purchased this Sony unit because the price was good and I wanted a quick replacement for the old one. I also needed the built-in pre-amp since my stereo receiver did not have the proper phono input jack. This turntable lives up to the old saying: you get what you pay for. It is very lightweight with lots of plastic. The operation is super easy, utilizing a few cheap plastic buttons. It's like a beginner piece for a tween. It does come with a dust cover and a needle/cartridge, of which I am still not sure how to replace if needed. But hey, the thing works. I've played a few LPs and they sound great. I was just looking to have some fun and listen to a few tunes that are not available on disc or streaming and this turntable did the trick. If you're looking for a high tech component to complete your multi thousand dollar set up don't buy it. If you just want to spin a few discs and show three younger generations how we lived, knock yourself out.

needed a turntable to use for our old albums. needed something that wouldn't take up a lot of space. this is perfect and sounds great.

I dug out My old Albums from the 70's, & 80's, & they sounded great after all these years. The features that I liked best about this Sony Turntable were the Auto Play And Return. Hit the Start Button & the whole album plays, when done it returns to its arm rest & Shuts-off like they used to do back in the day. I had Returned 2 other lesser Brands that were Manual. Also, I was able to use Sony's program to send to my Music Library on my PC, which I was not able to do with the iTunes app from the Other brand.

The turntable is easy to set up and use. Sound is good. I wish it had a few more features like maybe automatically flipping the record.

Sony products are always at the top of my list when considering electronic purchases. I was looking for a basic turntable to only play albums to replace one damaged in a fire. Even though I knew this unit allows for conversion to a digital format, I thought it would be good if I ever decided to use this feature in the future. Evidently, I did not pay close enough attention to the description. In this day and age, the software should be Mac compatible as well as PC. It does meet the need for which I made the purchase.

Originally, I bought a Crosley 5-in-1 record player. But after reading some more online, I decided to return it before opening it. Then I got this Sony record player. The sound is great, the play speed is calculated correctly, and I'm happy with it. It'd be cool if there was a bundle deal that came with speakers, but that's kind of besides the point. Also, I can record my vinyl into digital format with the USB function and the software that was coupled with the package. I haven't done anything with that yet, but it's a nice perk.

What a surprise to receive this as a Christmas gift! Happy to be able to play my collection of 45's and 33's. Great sound! Easy to use!

I wanted a turntable that gave me quality sound production and it does just that. My only problem is that the speaker output cables are RCA, and I have nice speakers with a subwoofer that don't use RCA connection anymore. I purchased a female-to-female RCA-3.5mm converter and it allows me to connect the player to speakers with an aux cable. It works great for me.

Love this turntable. It fits on my shelf perfectly,does everything I could ask for. Would recommend this highly.

It is wonderful listening to vinyl again, great sound. Easy set-up, just follow directions!

I got it at the black friday sale for lower price. It has great sound with USB export option. If you're not ready to invest 300+, this is def. great one to buy.

nice quality- extremely lightweight and compact- but delicate as it should be. Works great, sounds good, has usb port to connect to pc for uploading albums.

Based on other reviews I purchased this turntable as a gift. It plays geat, is easy to use and can plug straight into our soundbar. Overall a great value.

Great use for old vinyl records. The sound is great. The move of the records to CD is easy to do. The only problem with it is the instructions are not update wth the different versions of our operating systems.

My husband loves being able to now play vinyl again. The assembly was quick and easy, and sounds great!

I bought the Sony turntable a couple of months ago and so far I am completely satisfied with it. I'm not saying there aren't better turntables out there but for $130 dollars (give or take) this is hard to beat. Note, I haven't used the software, I am just using the turntable to play my old records from college.

This turntable comes under a few manufacturer's names. Sony, Audio Technica, Pioneer among others. It does what it is supposed to do with an excellent generic Audio Technica cartridge. I usually go for the more expensive brands just for their reputation and Sony is always on the upper tier. It was inexpensive and somewhat simple but it works well and my vinyl sounds fantastic. We lost the appreciation for analog sound when the convenience and promise of no wear and tear came along with CD's. To sum it up? Love It!

I have been turning more towards vinyl the last year or more. Problem is my old turntable was having problems with some of the new 180 gram records. The SONY turntable fit the bill. It had RC plugs (not just USB connections) so it easily integrated into my stereo system. It works great, sounds great, and had a great price.!!

I bought this as a gift for my husband and he plays it every night now! It has brought on a new hobby of collecting records and listening to a lot more music in the house than we already did. You do have to purchase a speaker, which I was unaware at time of purchase, but once we got it up, it's all we do anymore, listen to our awesome records.

I wanted to replace my turntable and when I saw this one that not only connected to my stereo system but also could connect directly to my computer I knew it was what I wanted. The reviews were good so I ordered it. It's great to be able to listen to my old vinyl again and also to transfer to my computer so I can make CD copies. The cable provided was too short to reach from the turntable to my computer so I had to order a longer one. The provided software doesn't seem to be compatible with Windows 10 but I have another program on my computer anyway. Other people interested may want to keep that in mind.
