The sound and bass is great and with the app you can change sound settings, The battery won’t last long, but if you cary charge box you can recharge them at lest two times. The bad is that my right side stays charging but will not turn on and I only had them since October 2018, 5 Months, I take good care of my Stuff and it just stop working. No information on how to repair them. Anyone knows how to get support, I went to Best Buy 3/31/2019 (yesterday) and they could not even do a new upgrade on the app. How do I contact Sony or where can I take them to be fix. I need My headset to workout.

These eaebuds have such a great, crisp sound!! I love it. I love the bass! They have amazing bass without distorting the sound. They connect effortlessly every. Single. Time. I've had them for quite a while and I use them every day at work at least 6 hours a day. My only complaint might be the battery. It last about 2.5 hours which is decent but it'd sure be nice if it lasted longer!! These are totally worth the price!!

Bought these in a rush because I had a flight the next day and forgot my Bose headphones were damaged and I wanted something noise cancelling for flight Did fairly well blocking some but not all noise Decent sound and volume Pretty comfortable in ear + a nice case that offers a recharge

I like the sound these earphones put out but after having them for about 3 months the right receiving ear went out then I used my manufacture warranty and after that another few months later my left earphone would disconnect my right one from my phone if I took it out the case overall I love the sound and bass these earphones give but inside there just poorly made

The Sony wireless earbuds are a breath of fresh air in the way of true in ear wireless earbuds. Not only do they pack a great sound that would leave most over the ear headsets in the dust but on top of that they also offer noise canceling. There a few features that drew me back a bit, but much more that had me loving it. Im going to focus on two main key items and hopefully this review will help in deciding rather or not this is a good buy for you. The Sony wireless earbuds are a true wireless piece that charges directly off its storage case. It utilizes a micro usb for a charging port with a charge indicator light on the backside. The storage case was the only piece that i really had an issue with. If you have never owned a wireless earbud set like this then there are a few things you should know. There is no other way to charge the earbuds other than placing them in the case and closing the lid shut. The case houses an internal battery which is nice because this means you can take them on the go and charge them up where ever you are. This is especially important due to the fact that the battery life on these units usually isn't too long. While listening to them on a full charge i got almost 3 hours of run time but keep in mind battery life is gonna be dependent on your audio settings and rather or not you have noise cancelling turned on. Speaking of noise canceling you have 3 different options of noise canceling which can all be accessed via the free app or the button on the left earbud. There is noise canceling (which cancels all outside noise), Ambient sound- Voice mode (which allows only spoken words to enter) and Ambient- Normal (which is basically noise cancellation turned off). The Sony app will give you battery life, allow you to play music and contains a built in equalizer. As of writing this review that's about all the app has to offer at this time. Now what kinda drew me away about the design of the case was how flimsy the top lid was. The top lid rotates horizontal to expose the earbuds. Whats bad about this is that the top lid is actually very thin and flimsy and once rotated open you get a real feel for how flimsy and easily the potential is for breaking it. Now keep in mind the lid helps to hold the buds in place so that it can charge once placed in its storage case. Another draw back was the fact that the earbuds did not slide into the charging docks easily. As a matter of fact they go in so tight and firmly that every time i docked them i was worried about damaging them. I own other wireless earbuds that utilize the same set up and all my other ear buds slide in very easy and have a sturdy case. Remember no case, no way to charge, so integrity is very important in this category. Also there are no external lights on the case to let you know the charge level of the earbuds. You have to open the case and check the colored lights on the earbud to know if they are fully charged or not. Now lets gets really get into the meats and gravy of this which is functionality and most important sound quality. The ear buds will allow you take and receive calls. While the sound quality was crystal clear on my end the person on the other end had trouble hearing me at times and complained that i sounded like i was talking off in the distance so i probably wouldn't rely on them too much in this fashion. One of the first things i like to do when i get a new set of headphones is tune them in by utilizing the factory built in equalizer which is usually done via the provided app. As of writing this review you can not actually manually adjust your settings but have to utilize the presets that Sony has provided. Right now there are a total of 8 different presets and while this would normally upset me i have to honestly say that Sony did a really good job with the presets. I'm almost positive there is a preset to fit just about everyone's music style and genre. Now as far as sound quality goes all i have to say is i am very very impressed with how good these tiny little earbuds sound. I know that thist is a Sony product and you wouldn't expect anything less but this is hands down the first earbud set i have ever seen pack a punch so big that it almost sounded like i had a pair of $500 over the ear headset on. With the preset i used ( Which was the Mellow preset) i got crystal clear vocals with equal sounds throughout all my ranges. My mids never took away from my highs and my bass was never too punchy that it took away from my vocals. Speaking of which if you are a person that loves really deep punchy bass then this is a must have for you. In one of the presets there is an option for deep bass and let me tell you what, the bass hits so hard you can almost feel those tiny earbuds reverberating. While listening to Young Jeezy's "I luv it" every time the bass hit it, it hit so hard and with so much punch that i felt like i was listening to this track inside a car with subs in it. This is not an exaggeration, this is hands down the first and only wireless earbuds that i have ever seen hit this hard and i own a pair of Beats earbuds. The sound quality is so crisp and clean with no fallouts or glitches that it more than makes up for the tiny flaws i found with its case. Vocals can be heard so clear and free of background noise that you would swear you were having a private session with the artist. The earbuds come with a variety of different ear pieces to fit just about every size and they also come with different ear hooks to fit your ear design for a nice secure fit. Volume range is good and is loud enough to fit even the hardest of hearing person. Here's my final take. While the case had me a little upset that Sony didn't build a better design the sound quality does more than make up for it. This is a no brainer for any music lover out there. Rather your in to Jazz, Hip hop, alternative or whatever your style may be there is a preset to fit your music flow perfectly. With the added feature of noise cancellation and no wires to get in your way this is a must have for those long trips home where you need to block out the noise and people around you. There are not enough flaws to truly talk bad about this and all i can say is i am glad to have found this set. This works perfect for me when im at the gym and never once do they feel like they are going to fall off. Do yourself a favor and pick up a set, i don't think you will be disappointed unless your like my wife and just like wearing earbuds period.

The most important feature of wireless earbuds is that the earbuds fit into the ear and are comfortable, with little to no pressure on the ear which causes discomfort. These Sony earbuds do stay in the ear fairly well and are comfortable. In my opinion, the second most important feature of wireless earbuds, is sound quality, this is because if earbuds are not comfortable, then the whole time they are worn, the discomfort is constantly being noticed. Luckily these Sony earbuds are both comfortable and sound pretty good. This Sony WF-SP700N model of wireless earbuds has water resistance, which the previous model of wireless earbuds does not. The previous Sony wireless earbuds which has a model number of WF1000X are a bit easier to place in the ear and are also slightly more comfortable than the Sport version. Since I do not exercise when wearing my earbuds, I prefer the previous version of wireless earbuds, but if I was physically active I would prefer these Sony Sport wireless earbuds. The case for these Sony sport wireless earbuds is quite nice and the earbuds fit into the charging position easily. The charge time is fairly quick, and what is best about charging these earbuds, is that the cover does not need to be closed when charging, this allows viewing the red light on each earbud, which lights up when charging, and the red lights turn off when the charging is complete. When I use all my various brands of earbuds, I always remove them from my ear and place them down on the countertop, I place them so that the earbuds are facing up to prevent the ear oils from wiping onto the counter, and then before I place them into the charging case, I wipe the oil off of each earbud with a square section of toilet paper, to prevent bacteria that does build up on the earbuds. This bacteria will cause frequent ear infections if the earbuds are worn several hours a day, this bacteria mainly grows when the earbuds are in the ear and the moisture on the earbuds is increased. Once I started to wipe the earbuds after each use, the ear infections completely stopped. I prefer the black color of earbuds, because the oils that build up on the earbuds can be easier seen, this is because the ear oils glisten on the black color silicone tips, and it can be easier seen when the earbuds are wiped clean. The white color silicone tips on earbuds does not show the oil buildup as easy, and this makes wiping them clean not quite as easy. My least favorite thing about these Sony earbuds, is the placement of the buttons, it is kind of awkward to press the buttons, but that is not much to complain about, it just takes awhile to learn how to grab each earbud specifically so that the buttons can be pressed. I am rating these Sony Sport wireless earbuds at 4 out of 5 stars, this rating would be higher if the buttons were improved and the battery life was a bit better, with that being said, the battery life on all of the wireless earbuds that I own is around 2 to 3 hours.

These are adjustable by simple SONY Headphone App settings. 8- One-touch telephone calls sound clear to both parties. 9- 3-Hour battery life + 2) 3-Hour charges from the battery in the case = 9-Hour total battery power. 10- Charging case features a cool shape with 2-color design to match the ear buds. These are the most comfortable, best sounding, best looking & most practical ear buds I have ever tested. They earn my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!

These truly wireless headphones are so lightweight and fit so nice that I hardly notice them in my ear, it's just a perfect fit! With a long 3 hour battery life of continuous play time they are a perfect companion for the gym or a run. They do look a bit bulky from the outside though. Sound performance is real good with the minor annoyance - bass is a bit too boomy for me. I had to download Sony Headphones app to my phone and use the EQ to lower the bass setting to the comfortable level. I do not like artificial bass boosters. Noise cancelling feature works has 3 power levels (Ambient sound - headphones work as a hearing aid, Off and Noise Cancelling). Noise cancelling is not very powerful, but seems sufficient for a low noise environment. Another minor thing - there is no automatic pause when you take one earpiece out, you have to physically press a button. You also can't use just the right earpiece on it's own, left earpiece is the main one that connects to Bluetooth, so left one has to be used if you would like a single ear piece setup. Controls - left earpiece button controls On/Off/Voice assistant/Noise cancelling level, right earpiece button is play/pause/next song/go back. Charging case - it's a little flimsy to my taste. Top lid easily slides over when headphones are in my gym bag, I had not have a earpiece fall out of the case yet, but it may happen. There is also no way to tell the battery level of the case itself (earpiece battery level is available in the app). Overall - it's a nice set if you like boosted bass.

Great for any type of exercise. Decent sound. Great.

Pros: * Really good sound. * Rock-solid connectivity (both between buds and to phone). * Useful active noise cancellation and available audio pass-through. Cons: * Charging indicators are almost useless. * No warning before dead battery. * Buttons are difficult to push and have no feedback (tactile or auditory). * No way to tell when case’s battery is too low to charge buds when on-the-go. * Cumbersome to use audio pass-through to hear someone talking. These true wireless sports-oriented earbuds get the hard stuff right but come up short on the basics. They sound really good - especially for true wireless earbuds. I wore them for about 5 hours of gym workouts and not once did the connection drop out (either between buds or to the phone) and they stayed in my ears without hassle. The active noise cancellation worked well and really did tone down the background gym noise. They are also sport-oriented so they resist sweat and rain, although are not rated for swimming. This is the hard stuff to get right and these Sony buds nailed it. Where these buds falter is on the basics that they don’t get right. Firstly, when the buds are in their storage/charging case, the only way to tell that the buds are charging is a faint red LED in a small groove on each (see photo). The buds have a nice “quick charge” feature whereby 15 minutes of charging provides 70 minutes of use. The problem is that the charging indicators on the buds turn off after this 15 minute quick charge; indicating that charging is done but only the quick charge is done and they still have a way to go for a full charge. The only way to know if the buds have a full charge is to turn them on and wear them since just looking at the charge indicators only tells you that they have at least 70 minutes of charge but not necessarily a full charge. Like many of these true wireless buds, the storage case has a built-in battery that can charge the buds several times while out-and-about without plugging it in to USB. The case is also deficient in that it has absolutely no indicator that the case’s battery has enough charge to get the buds up to full on its own. It only has a small red LED on the back when plugged in to power which indicates that the case’s battery is full or not while plugged in. The first time I used these buds, apparently they reached their “quick charge” but weren’t full yet. I wore them for about 1.5 hours and then all of sudden a voice prompt said “Charge battery” and they died immediately and without further warning. This is hopefully something that Sony can fix with a firmware update. There is a button on the left bud that cycles between 3 audio modes; noise cancelling, audio pass-through and both modes off (just normal). The button on the right bud is the typical multifunction button to play/pause, invoke voice commands, etc.. Both buttons are easy to find by touch but are very small and hard to press. They also don’t have any noticeable “click” to indicate when they are pressed and there is no audio feedback other than the function working; no “beep” or voice prompt to say “play” or “skip track”, etc.. Again, something that can be remedied with a firmware update. Lastly, many buds now have an audio pass-through feature so that you can hear someone speaking to you without having to physically remove the buds from your ears. These Sony’s also have this feature, but it is very cumbersome to use. Normally, I would keep the noise cancelling feature on for best sound quality while playing music. To hear someone speaking, you have to press the left button to switch to the “pass through” mode, then press the right button to pause the music. When you’re done talking to someone, you then have to press the right button to play the music and press the left button twice to cycle back to the “noise cancelling” mode. This isn’t impossible, but it certainly is not convenient. Overall, these buds sound great, are comfortable to wear and have rock-solid connectivity. What they lack, though, is a thoughtful design for the “regular” features like charge status, warnings before the batteries die, when the case has enough power to charge the buds on the go, etc… The lack of these basics is what grants these buds a 4 out of 5 stars rather than a perfect 5.

I HATE (loathe, despise, wish eternal death upon) in ear headphones. I have never been able to get a good enough seal with them to make the sound what it should be without feeling like I was being tortured by some sadistic person with an ear fetish. For years I have always just gotten by with headphones that kind of just rest in your ear (for out and about) or full over-ears (if I really wanted some sound isolation). Neither one of these is a great option (or really an option at all) for doing anything really active. I've tried a few of the more recent true wireless in-ears hoping beyond hope that perhaps I could find a pair that were reasonably comfortable to wear while hiking/exercising or working in the yard. I think I have finally found that pair. The Sony WF-SP700N are easy to use, pretty comfortable for an in-ear, and sound good. I'll dig a bit more into each of these below. Ease of Use: The nice charge case is pretty compact, ensures that the earbuds always lock in to make sure they get a charge, and it holds a lot of charges. It is easy to throw these in a bag or in a jacket pocket with no problems. They also paired up quickly with my iPhone and I have yet to have a drop in signal. I haven't used them with a phone call but all of my other recent Sony headphones have been outstanding in this regard and I have no reason to doubt these will be as well. These in-ears come with four different tips for the earphone and two different 'wings' to help hold them in your ears. I have what are known as 'tortuous ear canals' meaning they are smaller than normal and bend funny. I used to give the life-support guys the fits whenever I went to get earplugs for the flight line. I ended up with one size for one ear and another size for the other. They had about 20-30 different plugs to pick from so it was possible to dial it in almost perfectly but no in-ear so far has been able to stand up to my ears and still be useable. On the Sony SP700Ns, I was actually able to make the Super Small tips work well. The give a good seal and I don't feel like ripping them out of my head after 10 minutes. The 'Arc' Supporters' as Sony calls the 'wings' were perfect right out of the box and I think they are the key why this pair of in-ears is actually useable by me. They give me the secure fit that I would have to accomplish by jamming them down into my ears with another pair. The other benefit of not being jammed in is that pushing the buttons to either pause the music or change the Noise Cancelling setting doesn't hurt because they aren't already jammed in and I'm not worried about accidentally knocking them out. And that is despite the fact that the buttons on each of the earbuds is quite a bit smaller than other recent true wireless. I still wish that more would implement a gentle touch of the earbuds rather than a physical button but it is what it is. Sound Quality: This is where I had to knock a star off. My favorite pair of headphones are the Sony WH-1000XM2 over-ear noise cancelling headphones. They sound phenomenal, are comfortable, and block everything. That being said, they would not be good for a hike. I had hoped that Sony would be able to replicate that outstanding sound quality in these headphones but that was not the case. I know these are labeled as 'Extra Bass' but in this case the bass is really boomy and not a pleasant bass. While you do have the option of some different sound signatures through the Sony Headphones app the options are either all boomy or completely devoid of bass. There really isn't any way to dial it in. Granted, some songs sound stellar and those tend to be the ones that are not heavy in the bass department, but if you are listening to any rock or club music that has a strong beat (as many people do when working out to help pace themselves) you will probably think the bass is a little much. That could just be me but I don't think so because I like bass but I prefer it to compliment the music not overwhelm it. I'm hoping that these will get a software update that maybe will allow for a full equalizer to drop the bass a few dB, but until that time I guess I will just have to live with the boominess. I will say that the boominess is dropped a bit when you turn off the noise-cancelling but what's the point of having (and paying for) NC if you can't make use of it. All-in-all, these are the best in-ears that I have used to this point that actually give you isolation and noise cancelling. A few software tweaks from Sony (which they are good about doing, there has already been a couple of downloads for my other Sony headphones), and these might be real 5-star winners. That being said, I'm happy as well with their 4-star status as well.

These earbuds are by far the most comfortable & secure in-ear headphones I’ve tried, period. I’m used to exercising with sports headphones that securely clip over the ear. I’ve also tried many other in-ear variations, but most need continual readjusting, depending on your activity. This pair didn’t need any adjusting or securing, regardless of the movement: walking, running, cycling, gym & even plyometrics. PROS: - Secure fit for sports - Great bass compared to others in this category - Sony Headphones App allows some customization - Noise canceling is slightly noticeable, but not prominent - True wireless - Lightweight & comfortable - Surprisingly good microphone for phone calls CONS: - Equalizer is not customizable; pre-set configurations only - Heavy wind noise while cycling - Phone calls are heard in mono/left ear only - Audio lag when viewing videos/YouTube Overall, if your main purpose is listening during sports, this fits the bill. If you’re looking for the best casual listening experience for music, watching videos or taking calls, there are better options.

I was quite surprised with these earbuds. I've had quite a few different pairs and brands and normally prefer over the ear headphones. With these though, out and about I have to say I much prefer these. They fit nice and they definitely don't bother my ears as much as others. I really appreciate their design. They are pretty minimal for the most part. I like the "wings" on them that fit in the ear and they certainly keep them in place. If you're working out or performing any vigorous activity they will stay in your ear without any worry of falling out. The noise cancelling on these work very well. Not the best out there, but it works well. I like having the option to filter certain things. You can do this by just pressing the button on the left earbud and it will cycle through the different types. You can set them to full noise cancellation, Noise Cancellation that let's in Voices and lastly to allow in ambient noise. You can turn it completely off if you prefer as well. You can change these through the app too. There is a very discernible difference between the Voice and Ambient settings. Voice definitely lets in conversations, they're not overly loud and won't completely disrupt your listening and you can certainly carry on a conversation with them. This also goes for the Ambient, although you'll get more of a complete sound from everything. Neither setting detracts or degrades the audio quality. I didn't however test them for use on a call though. Using these are pretty cool as well. They don't feel heavy and you can almost forget you have them in. When you do put them in your ear they will connect to your device automatically, although a couple times I did only the left powered on automatically and I had to power on the right. The sound quality is very very good. Even without the EQ they provide a very nice sound, though they are a bit heavy on the low end. If you like bass, then you will not be disappointed. They can get pretty bright as well when using the EQ. There is not custom EQ however which is a bit disappointing. There are several options that range from enhancing vocals to enhancing bass response/frequency. Personally, I like either the Excited or Mellow settings. Having owned another pair of Sony earbuds I have to say they definitely improved on the quality, not that the others were poor. These don't have as much bass response as the others and are little more balanced. They store very easily in the charging case. With the case and it's internal battery you can expect around 6-9 hours of life. Once you do put them back in the case after using them they will automatically charge. It doesn't take very long to charge them either. I think it was maybe an hour to an hour and a half to full charge them in the case connected with the included micro-USB cable. I charged them off a USB 3.0 port on my computer monitor and also did so through a fast charging port on wall charger. I don't think I even fully drained them at any point since I got them. The app to control them is actually separate from the Sony Music Center App. The app itself has quite a few features from the EQ to the Noise Cancellation settings. It's also got where you can prioritize Sound quality over the connection and vice versa. I have an LG V30+ThinQ that I've been pairing these to and have had no issues with the Sound Quality Prioritization. I've not experienced any drops even in places of very high traffic like a hospital, or humorously enough the DMV when I was there the other day and there was about 40 people there lol. You can also go straight in to a music app right from the app as well, be it Spotify or something else. You can also control their volume from the app, and this is the only way to do so. The earbuds are also IPX4 rated, though you don't want to keep them subject to prolonged sweat or water exposure. My only real issue with these is the lack of being able to adjust their volume from outside of the app. I would have liked at least one additional button on each or even a touch based feature to increase the volume. Aside from that, these are most certainly worth the investment and you won't leave disappointed.

After trying out these fully wireless earphones for about a week I have found them to be fully functional, high quality, and an excellent option for those that are looking for total freedom from wires when it comes to their audio listening experience. The SP700's not only have high quality audio and extra bass, but they also offer noise cancelling which is rare with wireless earbuds. This feature worked well for me. They were also very comfortable, being lighter than other earbuds I have used. The lighter weight made it less likely for them to fall out unexpectedly. While they are light and comfortable, there is a tradeoff. The smaller size limits the battery life. You are lucky to get a few hours before needing to recharge. If your don't need them for longer than 3 hours at a time then this will not be a problem for you. The included case allows you to charge them on the go if you need longer play time. I liked the design of the case. It's small and will do a sufficient job of protecting your earbuds in your gym bag. I did have audio drop a couple of times throughout the week, but it was brief and that is not uncommon for small bluetooth devices such as this. Overall I was pleased the connectivity performance. If you are looking to go fully wireless with your audio needs, these are worth a look. And the price point is reasonable for what Sony delivers.

This fit perfectly to my ear with no or minimum adjustment needed to have a good seal to my ears, without good seal, you will not get bass. Sound quality is superb. Bass is not too heavy but balanced with other frequency range. Noise cancelling works very well, I cannot hear noise from fan about 2 feet next to me. Ambient mode is very nice for walking outside. Like other earbud, this is as comfortable but I don't expect I will be comfortable after 3 hours but YMMV. At first I thought the size is a bit big but not too bad after I actually hold it in my hands. It is also pretty secured in my ears, I can even wear them without the hook, shake my head and still does not fall off. The charger case is in perfect size. Easy to pair with my phone too. I am very happy with this bluetooth earbud. The only thing I miss is to be able to adjust volume from the earbud, for this, you have to use the phone volume control.

---SETUP--- The setup of the noise canceling earbuds by Sony was easy. The Sony Headphones app is required, but it has improved to guide users on how to connect their products. After pairing the headphones, you can tinker with the audio mixers immediately and even use them for an hour and a half, as it comes with half the battery charged out of the box. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of these earbuds are that they are truly wireless, have no cables, and have extra bass. To get the extra bass, you need to open the Sony Headphones app and set your headset to BASS. Not having cables makes your workouts more enjoyable, as you aren’t worried about getting the cable hooked against something. These earbuds also come with a case that serves as a battery pack. Storing them there charges them for the next use. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of the BASS is very good. I tried it out with Mexican rock, electro-house, techno, and an itunes workout music playlist. The BASS option from the app really takes you for a great ride while working out. I also tested the SPEECH and VOCAL options for my podcasts and the difference feels like wearing a different pair of earbuds with each setting. The battery only lasts for 3 hours per use, but if you store them in the case, you can extend the use for up to 9 hours. The noise canceling features work well enough inside of a building, like a gym, but doesn’t completely drown out louder noises. Using them outside, the noise canceling feature works as well, but you will still hear vehicles. Regardless, it still does keep you more focused on your workouts with it on. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product surpassed my expectations. These little earbuds are a great thing to have and leave where you workout the most. The carrying case that doubles as a battery charges works great to protect them when not in use. Leaving them in my gym backpack guarantees that I won’t forget them and they are always fully charged. ---VALUE--- The price for the earbuds in terms of value is very competitive. Few products of this caliber are at this price point. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for people who want to work out listening to their choice of audio without having to worry about cables or the earbuds falling off.

Sony’s WFSP700N is a pair of sports-oriented truly wireless in-ear headphones that delivers a secure fit, decent audio quality and noise cancellation for a competitive price. The WFSP700N is quite a simple pair of wireless earbuds, and they should be praised for their design. Unlike their more expensive sibling, the WF-1000X, they maintain a secure fit that can withstand aggressive headbanging and other violent motions. Additionally, the charging case has a design that does a much better job at ensuring the lid does not open up and the earbuds do not accidentally activate. Sony has designed a great charging case for this pair of wireless earbuds. The charging case has never opened up by accident in my daily sling bag, making it very reliable for maintaining a charge and preventing accidental battery drain—something that cannot be said about the WF-1000X, from my experience. As for battery life, I have confidence that this pair will deliver near the 9 hours it promises, as long as you understand that the earbuds can run for 3 hours on a charge, while the case can charge the earbuds from 0 to 100% two additional times. The sound of the WFSP700N is not without compromise. They lack the treble and midrange clarity of the WF-1000X, but deliver a bassy sound signature. Personally, I do appreciate the extra bass, but I definitely find myself missing the vocal clarity that the WF-1000X delivers. Overall, it’s acceptable, given that it is targeting sports users, but audiophiles like myself will certainly be disappointed in comparison to the WF-1000X. As far as signal quality is concerned, these seem quite stable, as cupping my hand over either earbud does not cause the right earbud to lose signal easily, unlike the WF-1000X. That being said, I haven’t given them the Shibuya Crossing test to determine if they’d maintain a signal in a very dense pedestrian environment. As for the noise cancellation, these won’t handle the chaos of windy environments, but they’ll reduce some noise from speech, traffic, and low hums. And while the ambient sound modes won’t let you engage in a conversation, it will let in just enough sound to allow you to notice noises that occur at moderate volumes. Sony’s EXTRA BASS sound signature and improved Google Assistant integration is coming soon, but I’m personally satisfied with the level of bass as well as the simple integration with Google Assistant. As it currently stands, if you’re in the market for a pair of truly wireless earbuds with a secure fit, adequate sound, and a reliable connection, the WFSP700N may be the choice for you. But if you’re looking for a zero-compromise solution to wireless earbuds, you’ll have to hold onto your wallet.

I have been waiting for these to come on onto the market for a while after hearing positive rumors on tech sites during CES. The good news. The noise canceling works. Not as well as dedicated noise canceling over the ear headphones, but good enough to make the commute to work on public transport infinitely more enjoyable. The SONY 700s are smaller than the photo on Best Buy does justice to (see my photo for comparison). In the box are extra tips, I was OK with the default size but they have bigger and smaller as needed. I am using this with an iPhone and have had no problem. The SONY app that you are encouraged to download when you first connect the 700s is a bit uninspiring looking but it does give you access to some equalizer settings that can boost the base, etc. Not really explained elsewhere, but these earbuds come with buttons on each side. Aside from using them for pairing, the buttons on each side provide different functions (Left is for pairing and turning noise canceling on/off; right side is for answering calls, skipping tracks). The earbuds stay tightly in your ear thanks to the little hooks and are gym safe. The only reason I deducted a star is the case. Which may seem unfair, but the case doesn't have a battery indicator light. Since the case also doubles as a charger it would be nice to know how much juice the case had left. Otherwise, great Bluetooth earbuds with noise canceling and couldn't be happy. Sony have really raised the bar of what you can and should expect from truly wireless headphones.
