Overall amazing but not for workingout

These headphones sounded amazing but ultimately i returned them. The fitment was good when it came to walking around but when laying on a bench the headphones would slide off. Also had an issue where during any over hand movement my shoulders would trigger the haptic controls.

Thank you for the feedback. It is unfortunate that the headphones had to be returned. The WH1000XM5 can be used for work out session in the gym. For more serious workouts, we suggest our headphones specifically designed for that task. Check out our WF-C500s and the WF-1000XM4s. Poor Construction

I bought my set in july 2024. I am very careful with my audio gear. After 8 months, the right piece broke off. A little gorilla glue and it was reattached. 2 weeks later, the left unit broke off. Sony wont fix it and the Allstate extended warranty is impossible to communicate with. So, do I spend another $400 to replace them? Would you?

Amazing headphones I really love them. I got the midnight blue and it is beautiful. Peope say it smudges really easily I have not experienced that. They are pricey headphones but I can garantee they are worth it.

Dead after less than 2 months

Says they are 100% charged but they won't play any audio and shut off after 30 seconds. Had to get a warranty replacement. This is the 4th pair of these in 2 years. The plastic always breaks on all the models xm3, xm4, xm6 included. I'll be staying away from Sony once the replacement pair breaks too. They will.

What a joke! I was super disappointed with the sound of these. I still own and emphatically use the Mx3's. The 6's are pathetic compared to the sound and build quality of the former headphones. I really wanted to like the 6's, but if you have a discriminate taste and want your music to sound a certain way, these may not be the ones for you. I had other people test the 6's to see if it was just me and they agreed the 3's and 4's are better. Even after messing with the EQ the 6th did not compare. Unless you just want something to listen to music with, I would skip this version.

Amazing sounds with a side of discomfort

Audio is very dynamic and offers an experience few have achieved. However you wont be able to enjoy it for long. I find myself only being able to go 1-2 hours of usage before discomfort builds up on the ears and the top of the head. I have experience wearing numerous amounts of headphones at a similar, and exceeding price range. None of which I find this much discomfort at such a fast rate.i would return them but by the time i got to sit down and really use them to understand my issues the return policy had pasted.

Not as great as you would think

I know these headphones are touted as superb. They probably are for most people. But for me, I wanted ones that sound incredible. These don't sound incredible. The bass is muddy and there is not as much detail as I would like, as in the Sennheiser Momentum 3 and 4. All the other functions such as ANC, transparency, controls, comfort are great. If you are not very discerning or picky about audio quality, then go ahead and get these. But why would you pay this much if you don't care about audio quality? Get the Momentum 4 would be my recommendation.

There is good news however! By downloading the Headphones Connect app, you can customize the settings to suit your preferences. It also has an Equalizer that you can select and customize to fine-tune your music.

I love these headphones, the only downside is that I am not able to figure out why sometimes the noise cancelation turns off and on by itself. Apart from that great sound!
