All he could suggest was Beats by Dr. Dre, but the wireless were too pricy for the product. I shopped around and found this option by Sony at Best Buy. I selected this one versus a higher priced version that had noise cancelling feature. Son loves the headphones, though I wish they had come with a carrying-case - looks easy to break in luggage or backpack.

Cheaper Beats Alternative

They're loud and the bass effect is a nice bonus. The earpads rotate but the construction is not as sturdy to my preference. I had a warranty on my original pair and had to replace them after the plastic above the earpads starting tore off. Other than that, this headphone saves you a pretty penny.
