good sound, I enjoyed them till that wishbone connector to each ear piece, one broke... bought a replacement part..lol.. the wire has to be fished through 90 degree hole... but I cut the wire... and found out that in that one barely seeable wire had 6 micro wires in it... then I said trash time... bought another brand, when I spend good money on crap I learn not to buy again

The sound is OK, more in line with the price after the discount that is commonly applied to these than it is with the base retail price. The mic doesn't work very well and most of the buttons aren't intuitive at all. But these aren't necessarily deal breakers for the amount of functionality they tried to give. Plus if the battery quickly fails (like mine) then you can still use the jack, so it isn't immediately trashed. Biggest issue is that the headphones are built/designed very poorly. The band is metal sandwiched by plastic and padding. This makes it sturdy. The cups have pretty good padding and thick enough plastic. Again, sturdy. What isn't sturdy? The thin plastic joints connecting the two. Within 8 months of gentle, yet everyday use the left joint snapped (in a way very similar to the pictures others have provided). You just can't help it, all the structural stress of taking off the headphones goes straight to these flimsy joints. It's a flaw they decided to sell. Skip these unless you have money to throw away.

This will be my second.pair in less than 3 years!! The quality of sound is awesome (that's why I went out and bought a second pair). HOWEVER, the area near the earpiece breaks very easily; the quality of the plastic they use is extremely poor. If you go on different websites such as Amazon, or even Sony itself you will see the complaints about how easily the headpiece breaks and Sony won't do anything about it even though it seems to be a common problem. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO SPARE!!!

Bought these a few months ago, and they sound fine, bluetooth worked well, but one of the ear piece joints broke and now it's just flapping around, completely useless. Had I known the build quality was so poor I would have spent my money on something else.

My son bought a pair of these 8/21, Within 10 days, the earcup had detached (snapped off) from the headband.The tiny plastic swivel that held the earcup on snapped. His previous pair of Sony's survived three years, so he knows how to take care of his electronics. Checked with Sony, and they will not fix it. Not impressed with the quality/durability here, especially for a portable electronic device.

These headphones are awesome from the start but 5 months in, the hinge broke and the ear sets are loose. Cheaply made. I didn't even touch them, I opened up my case and I noticed it was super loose. I will not be keeping these. Didn't even last a year with them.... So disappointing! GET BOSE GUYS

Don't pull on the hinges slightly, try to adjust them too firmly, sit on them or step on them ONCE, or leave them in front of a running fan, because a stiff wind breaks the hinges in half! No amount of crazy glue fixes them. I love walking around with expensive headphones with one dangly ear. Currently salvaging them with a popsicle stick and electrical tape.
