I previously owned a pair of Seinheizers which were amazing but expensive. I also had Bluetooth Beats Studio which were a waste of money. I wanted Bluetooth headphones that had good sound quality and bass and these headphones are perfect for that. Battery life is insane, they last for around 4 days without charge and I use them for 3-4 hours a day. I also like the app that allows you to adjust the bass. Overall amazing quality and comfort for the price. You could find better sound quality for about $100 more but the difference is marginal.

I won't claim to be an audiophile or sound expert by any means, but after almost 40 years of listening to music I know what sounds good. The Sony XB950B1 Wireless Headphones certainly allow one to enjoy the sounds that they love. I have tried these out on several different avenues and I think the overall performance is worth the price.
The first endeavor was listening to heavy and fast music via the Bluetooth connection. I didn't run into any hiccups in playback like you experience with some regardless of how close the source is to you. The music was crisp and clean. I also turned the Bass Effect on and off a few times to truly picture what the addition brings to the table. I thought the music sounded good both ways, but I feel like there could be a happy medium between them.
The second avenue was actually through a phone call. Since I discovered it had a mic, I figured it's something that might occur if I am connected to my phone and I better be prepared. My friend was in the car and said he could hear my just fine. It felt a little strange to me, but the quality appeared to above average on both sides. i could clearly hear him and he could clearly hear me.
The third test was utilizing the wired connection to my PC. As a parent who likes to game, there's nothing worse than having to kill the volume when everyone's sleeping. With that being said, I thought these did an excellent job of picking up the main sounds as well as the ambient sounds of the environments that I encountered.
The final test was wired to my phone. I thought the music quality was good, but no where near as good as the Bluetooth streaming that I did earlier. I wish you could still control the Bass Effect on the headphones without turning it on, but that's not an option.
In general, these headphones are top notch. Are they the best? No, but it's really hard to bash them if you aren't paying attention. Even though they are noise cancelling, I think they do an excellent job of covering the ear and eliminating everything around you. I know that I was unable to hear other things with them on. I do wish there were two other things. The first is the ability to fold them up and the second is a carrying case/bag. Without those, traveling is made more difficult.
Lastly, here is what's in the box:
-the headphones
-20" Micro-USB Cable
-47" Headphone Cable
-the instructions and how-to guide

I've always bought cheap earbuds for $10 - $20 and loved them. But I figured since I have a real job now and been trying to invest in more quality things, that I would get a nice pair of headphones. I was super hesitant about buying such an expensive pair, but I've been using them every day since I got them and I LOVE them. Sound is great, super comfortable, light weight. Even comes with a cord in case the battery dies you can still use the headphones. They aren't noise cancelling which is fine. I feel they could be a bit louder but I've never really had to max out the sound. They have a great bass effect feature that can be turned on and off for those moments you want deep bass for a certain song, but doesn't quite work for that next song on the playlist. Love these headphones, will definitely invest in the noise cancelling ones next! Never buying cheap earbuds again.

Great For Music Listening But Not For Video Editor

the build quality is good, the weight is decent, the earpads were somfy enough to wear for over 2 hours and the bluetooth connection is great but unfortunatelly for what i wanted to use them for they are not for me. i use them with my laptop when i edit video and always using the cable never wireless because ive had a problem before where my audio was out of sync when i edited my video using my beats wireless bluetooth headset and it sucked because i found it out after i rendered the video! thankfully it was fixable though. so i never care using wireless headphones again to edit. now these headphones are great for music listening, especially hiphop and other type of musics which has alot of bass but not for video editing because the bass will overpower the mid and high and its hard to mix multiple audio into one video if you know what i mean. so on the third day ive returned the headphones because of this reason. if you trying to decide between the more expensive ones like beats studio 3 and these, id go with these anyday. try them at the store you will know what iam talking about.

I'll start by saying I've owned a variety of headphones, from HiFiMan, Harman Kardon and Sennheiser, to Skullcandy and Beats. My most recent over-ears that I can best compare to, are the Beats Studio 2.0.
The Sony XB950B1 are very bass heavy. The sound is very warm, leaning towards dark. They're comfortable to wear, the Bluetooth range is phenomenal, and the battery life is stellar. The sound however, is a "love it or hate it" profile. I personally listen to these with the bass turned down a couple steps (using the Sony app) which really helps the clarity, in my opinion. Vocals can sound recessed, even with the bass turned down. Great headphones for EDM and other bass heavy music like hip hop.
Compared to the Beats Studio 2.0, the Beats offer more controlled cleaner bass response, and more forward and clear mids. The Beats battery life isn't as good, though they are doing more (active noise canceling, which the Sony headphones don't have) which make a difference in noisy environments.
If you can get them at a sale price under $100, not a terrible set of cans. At full price of $200? I'd go for the Beats Studio or Sennheiser.

These headphones won't disappoint, they are hands down worth every penny of the pretty hefty asking price. If you're really into your audio then look no further, they kick out the bass and handle it amazingly well. The battery life is supposed to be like 12 hours, these things last me a few days fully cranked before running out of juice. I will definitely be getting another pair of anything happens to the ones I have. If they have a test model to use I strongly recommend testing these bad boys. You won't get the full effect unless you download the headphone app that unlocks it's potential, so if you do test them without the app and are not satisfied, don't judge too harshly, it makes a big difference. The only draw back to them is that the battery must be charged to use the supplied headphone cord.

Amazing Wireless Option

I bought a set of these headphones for my wife who has the new iPone without the input. These headphones are amazing for the price and the added base option is great.
Headphones are easy to connect to your phone, or television. The headphones tell you what the current power level is, if base boost is on, or if you are connected or not by simply pressing a button on the side.
You can control volume on the headphones or via your phone/television. Comes with a separate cord in case they are not charged or you want to plug them directly into your phone or other input. Very comfortable.
Only thing that would improve the product has nothing to do with the product itself. The headphones do not come with a case or even a cloth bag to carry it in. You can pick this item up cheap but it is the only thing keeping it from a perfect 5 stars.
I went with 4 but in reality the product is a 4 1/2 star product.

Great Bassy Headset for Budget Listening

These headphones were purchased during the Black Friday sales event. I was looking for a low budget wireless headset for late night TV watching and I couldn't be happier with my purchase thus far.
Pros: Great bass for the price, can be a little much but easily adjusted using the my headset app to fit your preference.
Easy to set up and use.
Decent battery life, competitive for the price point.
Comfortable; even for 3+ hours of use.
Cons: Sweaty ears after prolonged use, but that's expected from most leather cupped head sets.
Poor microphone quality; even if its not a selling point for the headphones, it should be noted that the microphone does have some issues picking up audio.
All in all, I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend this item.

I had been looking for a nice set of headphones with great sound (I love my music) but just couldn't seem to bring myself to pay $350 for some of the competitors headphones. I was told by a friend to give these a try and boy was I impressed. The sound quality is wonderful, a bit heavy on the bass at times - even without the bass feature turned on, but not to the point that it detracts from the experience. The phones are very comfortable and the battery lasts as long as I need them... I can go a full day at work and not need to charge them. I also appreciate the noise isolation that these offer. I was debating on getting the noise cancelling models, but these do a great job without having to spend the extra money. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and definitely don't feel like I'm missing anything that the more expensive headphones would give me that these don't. My co-worker has a pair of "those" and I honestly can't tell the difference, other than these do have just a tad more "oomph" at the low end frequencies. Love them and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a good sounding pair of headphones that are comfortable and do a nice job blocking out ambient noise.

Great sound. Very crisp. Xtra base is optional, which I like. Love that it's Bluetooth. Metallic blue is gorgeous! These replaced my daughter's JVC brand of earphones that were under warranty but no longer available. I listened to a few brands at the store. Not only did these sound fantastic, but they happened to be on sale! So with our credit on the replacement, plus the great sale price on these, I feel like we got a great bargain!

Got these for a loud work environment to cut out the high decibel noise. Work excellent. All of the buttons are easily reached and do what they are supposed to do. I have a giant head so I was hesitant to buy any new headphones. The band is metal and the build seems sturdy. Does not kill my ears even with my glasses on. Battery is superb and last me all day without any issues. Sound is very good.

Honestly, I did not care for the Sony XB950B1 Extra Bass Wireless Headphones. You can use them either wireless or you can use the included 4' wired cable to listed to them "hard wired". I tried them both ways and the sound seemed muffled. There were not any nice mid's or any high end signals, just muddy all around.
I listen to classic rock, jazz and music from bands such as Within Temptation, Nightwish, and Sirenia. Perhaps something from Rihanna, Drake or Iggy Azalea would sound better on the Sony Extra Bass Wireless headphones. You could also download the Sony Headphones Connect app that lets you adjust the bass levels and gives you presets for club, hall, arena or outdoor style sound. I did not try this app out, as the headphones will work without the app.
These headphones are also very big, but they are also very light and comfortable for something this size. It took quite awhile to initially fully charge the Sony's using the supplied USB cable on my PC, but you can get up to 18 hours of listening wireless music playback. The Sony's also come with a one foot long charging cable that you plug into a USB port to charge the headphones and a 4' long cable to "hard wire" your headphones to your phone, iPod or what ever you wish as long as it has a 3.5 mm jack. A nice soft black bag is also included to protect the Sony's when you're not listening to them. It includes a big pouch on the inside to carry the charging cable and 4' long cable with room to spare.
Honestly, these were not the headphones for me. For the price of $199.95, you can do a lot better.

I use it only for music and I am very happy with the sound. I have listen to the headset for two days without a charge. Comes with a cable if rechargeable battery is dead. Bluetooth is one of the best I have had. The head band is made of plastic and metal so the hope is that these will not break in the middle like most cheaper headsets do.

I love these headphones! They are surprisingly lightweight and durable. I bought these as a treat to myself and I use them quite often. They are wireless with amazing battery life but they also come with a headphone cord so if the wireless battery dies you can plug it into your device and still listen to music! A hundred bucks is a little pricey but I’d say its worth the buy!
