Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So ive had these for about a week now, and i love them.. i replaced my 4, gtk-xb72's for a pair of these as an upgrade... worth it... the sony music center app helps alot.. i love the party chain, and stereo options.. the lighting is great.. also love being able to take outside to the patio and not have to plug in.. which is another reason why i upgraded feom the other sony speaker...

Musical quality is excellent, loud enough to bring the neighbors out of their home to join the party or perhaps call the police; guess it depends on who your neighbors are!! It was an expensive purchase and I never really expected to buy a bluetooth speaker that large but I am glad I did. It works great for movie nights outside when connected to our projector or when lounging by the pool or fire pit. The only cons are price, weight, and not water resistant.

The sound is clear and you can feel the bass in your chest. So if you want a party speaker this is for you if you want to make it a sound system for your car fits great. Your neighbors wont like you much after hearing it.

Solid Sound. Lacks Wireless WI-FI. Poor Technology

However, I've some constructive criticism for which I'm utterly disappointed and taken off 2 stars. 1. For a speaker at this point, it should have been smart speaker with WI-FI connectivity so it could be used to cast music from inbuilt apps (YouTube, Spotify etc.) 2. The speaker does not stay on standby mode, meaning you've to manually turn it on by physically pressing the 'ON' button on the speaker. 3. Due to Bluetooth connectivity, if I'm listening to a song on YouTube, the app must stay on top for it to continue streaming. That pretty much locks the phone where you can't use the phone for browsing as moving away from YouTube stops the streaming 4. Again, due to Bluetooth connectivity, if I get a phone call, the music will stop also - another ridiculous thing to happen. 5. The wheels are plastic and don't swivel 360. With the speaker this heavy and this price, it would have been nice to have 2 or 4 swivel speakers. Again, I can't imagine why in 2022-23, Sony won't make a smart party speaker when tiniest of sound speakers are being equipped with smart (google home or alexa) ability. One work around is to add a Google Chromecast thru auxiliary or USB port that should bring the speaker on your wireless network and can compensate for the gaps identified above. If you can live with these technology limitations, you'll enjoy the sound clarity, heavy on bass and it does not rattle even on loud volume. I'll give it a 5star just on sound quality but due to severe inbuilt technical limitations and respective pricing, I'm putting it at 3 star. This also makes me reconsider keeping this speaker and wait for an actual smart party speaker that will have inbuilt wireless WiFi.

Shop Moral BOOSTER!

We use it in our 5,000 square foot shop and it fill the shop with great sound and a nice full bass. I'm a sound engineer hobbyist and work with a lot of high end sound systems and this one definitely is a POWERHOUSE for a bluetooth capable speaker. TOO COOL!

Its has so much bass without adding the mega bass and CLEAR QUALITY. I dont recommend it if you live in apartments. I can't even half if half up outside in the day time without gett a noise complaint. It literally vibrates the whole aparment building inside. Now another thing. The best buy in southpark meadows, the he general manager is terrible and a few employees there. Also there is this progressive leasing which you lease to own. Its a quick process to get approved for how ever much they'd approve you for. Progressive leasing is smazing
