My son loves this thing. Only issue is the charging wire is rather cheap. Has broken twice, but sphero has replaced it easily

This has been an enjoyable gadget for me and my two sons to play with. I wouldn't recommend paying full price for it, but if you can get it on sale for around $100 like me, I wouldn't hesitate to jump on it. Its such a cool gadget.

Super cool toy -- I enjoy it and it's honestly more fun than rolling a ball around...sorry BB-8. Only worth the purchase at clearance prices though -- please don't spend $250 -- wait until it's under $100.

You have to appreciate the craftsmanship. Great toy. But don't expect it to perform like a true rugged RC. I wouldn't use it outside. In fact, instruction say indoor use only.

So my kiddo and her friends love the Ultimate Lightning McQueen. After the initial wait for a full charge (about 2 hours) they have been able to consistently get 35-40 minutes of run time out of it. Setup through the app is effortless. The learning curve for driving is a bit more burdensome. Of course, the kids figured it out much faster than I did but that's to be expected. I was hoping for dual joysticks like a normal R/C vehicle but not so much with this one. After figuring it out, driving was fun and the LED eyes combined with the "emotive" movements really set this apart from basically everything else on the market. It's a tad smaller than I expected but it's heft makes it feel like a quality made product. I've managed to slam him into a wall several times with no noticeable damage. (I luckily barely avoided a tumble down the stairs which could have been a major issue!) The cost of entry is a bit high, but with all the tech packed into the car that's understandable. I have had no connection or lagging issues, much like other Sphero toys. If the controls were easier to use I'd definitely give this one a 5-star rating.

This product is just incredible. This is the coolest Lightning there is.. but also is a very cool Sphere product too. Highly recommend.

Purchased initially through the online BB site and picked up in-store — unfortunately the product had been evidently opened previously, given this was a present I decided to return and re-purchase. Called BB online store and they sent me another one; arrived in worse condition with the box dented, the plastic film strip on the side peeled back. Not doing this again. What kind of store resells merchandise at this price point? Just because you have used inventory, send it back to the manufacturer. Don't pass it off as new and expect the consumer to pay full price. I'll be going to ABT for my electronics from now on. Would give zero stars.

Only issue was nowhere to add gift card info for purchase online.

Eversince my son saw that car he has been wanted it. It used to be double the price by the Holidays, so I am happy with this price cut.

This is a blast! Need smooth floors, not for carpet. Five year old likes to try to drive it but a little above his ability.

When it worked it worked fine. Battery life diminished and good thing I had bestbuy warranty.

All I can say is, if your a fan of Lightning McQueen, then this is as close as you're gonna get to having your very own!!

This is one cool toy. He talks and reacts just like Lightning would. Purchased him on clearance at a fantastic price.

He is the best Spero we have he is so cool the kids love to play with him and they love to watch Cars movies with him

I love all the features this car has. The tricks and the funny "speak". It's just amazing

My kid just loved this robot. It's really amazing and is cheaper than a few months ago.

Had a problem downloading updates, called customer service and they solved the problem
