Needed a new chair since my old one wasn't working out for me anymore. Found that this is a really great chair, very ergonomic, comfy, and provides great back support! Plus was super easy to assemble, only took about 5 minutes and needs no tools. Notably think chair is on the smaller side so might not be suited for taller individuals but was the perfect size for me. Arm rests are just plastic, but put on some covers to better them although certainly think it would have been nice if they were cushioned too.

All of the chairs operations are smooth without noise, the armrests feel a little cheaper than the rest of the chair but it's all holding together. The chair feels a little uncomfortable at first but as the first week goes by that fades away. It kinda forces you to sit up correctly. Chair is not for wider frame individuals, it's fairly narrow between the arms and the seat cushion width and back itself. Still a good chair.

I purchased this chair for my home office. It is well constructed and very comfortable and accommodating due to the adjustments for the arms, height and seat. It rolls easily and I can stretch my back which I like and is a good size. I am 5'6" but should fit a taller person as well because of the ability to adjust the seat. Very nice and is classy looking!

Very comfortable chair, I can sit for hours and no back pain, the only bad thing is that it does not have a head rest.

This is a wonderfully comfortable and adjustable chair. It can be put together in literally 5 minutes...maybe less. No tools needed. Just 4 pieces that snap into place. Couldn't be simpler. Looks good too.

after literally dozens of office chairs of all types, both high end expensive and couple hundred dollar officemax chairs, I can confidently say this is the best office chair on the planet, period. Start with the box and assembly, literally less than a minute. All you need is in this beauty, and it's simpleness is divine. 10 star.....

Super easy to install - no tools needed. Could have bought the chair at the Steecase web site for the same price and a lot of more options, but this cobalt seat and grey back combo is fine. Bestbuy has the advantage of customer pickup so I don't have to worry about having a huge box delivered in front of my front door which can attract attention. The Steelcase Series 1 chair was recommended by Consumer Reports as a truly ergonomic chair,

I have used a Steelcase Leap chair at work for years, and was looking for something with similar comfort and function for my home office, but without paying an arm and a leg. I have found the Steelcase Series 1 fits the bill while only costing an arm. The Leap is still a superior chair, but the 1 works fine for me, it’s well made and just as comfortable The 1 has all the adjustments I needed, but you have to readjust them periodically, whereas the Leap is a set it and forget it. The seat length and height, and arm position and height adjustments are functionally the same. The difference comes when you lean back in the seat. On the Leap, the seat moves forward and stays flat and the arms stay in them same position. Feet still flat on the floor, and arm rests still in the same position in relation to your work space. On the 1, the seat and the arms tilt up as you lean back. You have to lower the arm rest and possibly the seat if you still want your feet on the floor and you arms at the workspace. The tilt support is infinitely variable on the Leap, but the high and low setting on the 1 function just fine for me.

The Cobalt Blue color is misrepresented on BestBuy's site. Go to Steelcase's website if you want to see how Cobalt blue actually looks. If you don't care about armrests, the rest of the chair is decent, but for this price you can get better chairs.
