Amazing headphones. I've been looking around for the most comfortable wireless headphones and finally found them. I've tried many and since I wear glasses most of the time, I'm very picky. These guys are perfect, the clamp force and the fabric material (very breathable and not hot or sweaty at all) and the softness of the pads are great for my glasses (now, imagine how comfy they are, even more if you don't wear glasses like me).
Now the features, this guys pack a punch, in terms of compatibility, since its the X version, they can work wirelessly with an Xbox, also PlayStation (I think the only con here if you don't get game/chat audio mix wirelessly) and PC via their type C wireless dongle. They also include a TRRS analog cable, because you can also use this guy that way plugin it in with any device that supports a TRRS connection, speak of options! They include a charging cable, but also an extension cable, where one end is a female type C port, which will serve as extension, or free up other ports (because the dongle is T shaped, if you plug it directly to your device, it may block other ports, so that female cable is appreciated).
On Xbox and PC it supports game/chat level mix and it has a dedicated physical button (this is a must for me and I think for anyone that plays online with friends, this lets you tune the level of the game volume and of your friends on chat, we all know and have those friends that yell on chat and with this feature you can tune the game and chat volume level).
Even if you are going to only use them on your console, I highly recommend you plug them from time to time to your PC and open their SteelSeries GG windows app and see if there are firmware updates for the dongle and the headset, these solve bugs and introduce features. There was one for me (I mainly play on PC) and it was a lengthy one. Once the firmware update was done I could use them right away. On the GG engine part, you can set EQ, mic side tone level, choose a higher volume limiter (I found not necessary to turn off the limiter, doing so introduces higher volume but with hiss/noise, they were plenty super loud with the limiter on) and tune your Bluetooth settings (if Bluetooth is on when you turn on the headphones or not i.e.). If you are on PC, you want to use Sonar to tune most things so you must set al the EQ on GG engine as flat. Sound quality was great and I saw on windows settings that these are capable of 24 bit 48khz audio quality (Sonar lies saying they are Hi-res 24 bit 96khz, but they are not, that's what Sonar is trying to output and up processing maybe, but hardware wise, per Windows settings, they are only capable of 24 bit 48khz, which is plenty, the human ear can't tell the difference anymore than 16 bit 48khz anyways). You can use Bluetooth simultaneously with your games (however you can only control the volume of your Bluetooth device at the source level, the volume controls on the headphones are for your game). Battery life is simply amazing, I have gamed all weekend long on a just one charge and they kept going, finally left them charging Sunday nigh. Sound quality is amazing and Sonar has tons of EQ presets on the PC for tons of games, and also, if you pair them with their phone app, YOU CAN FINALLY HAVE EQ PRESETS ON CONSOLE!!!, finally CONSOLE players can experience the goodness of Sonar. I mainly play Rainbow six Siege on PC and I can hear every single detail, positioning and most importantly FOOTSTEPS.
If you are looking for great comfort (specially for glasses), with great sound quality, simultaneous Bluetooth, these are the ones for you!
I would recommend this to a friend

My experience using the Arctis Nova 7X for me has been nearly faultless. Knowing this isn’t the highest-end offering in Steelseries’ lineup, I was expecting compromises, but it mostly nails everything it does. The build quality is one of the best I’ve seen from any gaming headset I’ve used, the sound and microphone are both great, and the battery life is long. It also has wide compatibility with PC and console, as well as simultaneous 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connectivity. In this price range, I don’t think I could really ask for much more and I’m really glad I have this now.
What I noticed right away unboxing the 7X was the build and quality of materials. The metal headband feels durable but flexible and the elastic fabric piece feels smooth and soft. The earpads are likewise very soft and feel great against my head. The rest of the headset is plastic, but it’s got a soft touch to it that feels nice. Everything just feels like it’s a step above other headsets I’ve used. The fit can be adjusted by pulling the arms in and out the headband. The elastic headband piece can also be adjusted for a tighter fit if needed. It fits my large head well, though the clamping force is just a bit too light and I find they have a tendency to slide off of my head if I lean back.
The earcups do rotate and fold flat. They also have removable magnetic plates and Steelseries offers some color and themed options you can buy for a little bit of personalization.
The 7X has controls on both sides of the headset, with volume and mic mute controls on the left earcups and game/chat balance and power/Bluetooth buttons on the right side of it. Both the volume and game/chat wheels feel pretty good and the game/chat wheel has a small indent to let you know when you’ve reached the middle position. One minor complaint I do have is that having these controls on the smaller part of the earcups made them a little bit harder to feel out while I was wearing the headset, but I think it’s something I could get used to in time.
The 2.4GHz dongle connects via USB-C, but there is also a USB-A to USB-C adapter cable for connecting to Xbox. The dongle has a switch for going between the Xbox audio mode and the standard USB mode used by PC, PlayStation, and Switch. Looking at photos of the other version of this headset, it’s clear that the Xbox version’s dongle is much larger compared to the other versions. When connecting this to something like a laptop, the dongle has a tendency to block adjacent ports just due to how wide it is. The USB-C connector is also directly in the middle of the dongle too, so it can’t really be positioned in a way that might prevent ports from being blocked. I have the Arctis GameBuds and I wish the 7X could have utilized that dongle as it pushes the USB-C connector to one side and is also much smaller. It also includes a USB-C to USB-A charging cable and a 3.5mm cable for wired audio. The 7X supports wireless audio over 2.4GHz and Bluetooth. It supports wired audio over 3.5mm, but not over USB-C.
The headset comes pre-paired to the dongle. I started using it on my PC and installed the Steelseries GG software. I generally like the GG software and I think it’s laid out well. The ‘Engine’ section gives you the basic functions on the headset and lets you tune the EQ for both the audio and the microphone. There’s even EQ presets for most major games, which is a nice touch. Enabling Sonar opens up even more functionality and really lets you get specific with audio mixing from multiple sources, but I didn’t like that enabling it creates a bunch of virtual sound devices in the Windows control panel. For consoles, the Arctis Companion app for iPhone or Android gets you similar functionality that you get in the ‘Engine’ section of the GG software. EQ and other settings are saved directly to the headset, so you don’t need to have the software or app active.
The volume wheel on the 7X, like other multiplatform headsets I've used, does not control system volume directly, so generally it's best to set the source volume at 100% and use the headset to adjust the volume from there.
For my usage, I generally left both the audio and microphone EQs at their default flat settings. Generally I think these sound pretty great for gaming and they cover the lows, mids, and highs well. I've been playing a lot of horror games lately where audio cues are very important and I didn't find the 7X lacking at all. And the amount of control you get in the software means you can tune these to pretty much whatever you need them to be. Wireless audio gets loud enough that turning the wheel all the way up is uncomfortable, but in general I found myself leaving the wheel at around 80-90% and anything below that was too quiet. The headset can get louder when wired via the 3.5mm cable. There's no noise cancelling or transparency modes here, but the passive isolation is good for blocking out some background noise.
2.4GHz and Bluetooth audio can both be independently toggled using the respective power and Bluetooth buttons on the headset and, as advertised, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth audio can be heard simultaneously. The Bluetooth on the 7X is good, but it doesn't appear to support anything other than the standard SBC codec from what I could see.
The microphone is retractable and has a lot of flexibility to get it adjusted exactly where I need it to be. It also has a red LED to let you know if it's muted or not. It’s been a while since my last Steelseries headset and I never considered the mics to be their strong suit, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this microphone. My voice comes through clear and natural and doesn’t sound compressed like some other headsets can. It does let a fair amount of background noise in, but this could likely be mitigated a bit in software. It’s not the absolute best headset microphone I’ve heard, but it’s very good.
The battery life is rated at 50+ hours and so far that seems to be holding up based on the battery drain I've seen so far. You don't get the swappable batteries like the Nova Pro, but it should be good for at least a week of heavy gaming.
Overall, I'm really happy with the Arctis Nova 7X. I wasn't expecting to like them as much as I did and they tick just about every box for me at a good price.

We love this headset, we have a few gaming headsets and we always find the SteelSeries to be our favorite for various reasons.
As far as comfort, these are exceptional. The clamping is just right not too tight and not too loose. The cups are padded and don’t make my ears hurt, they also don’t cause fatigue or heat. Both my wife and I share these and we both wear glasses and we have zero issues due to the just right clamping force.
The mic is crisp and clear, whenever I get on the mic everyone hears me and not one person has complained about the mic quality
Battery life is also another W for this headset. It’s one of the longer lasting headsets I own, I hate those headsets after one day of gaming you need to be charging. I can go for a week without needing to juice this up again
The app is ok, I don’t use it a lot but it’s filled with presets so you get the best out of your gaming experience
The fact you can use these with all devices is a major win. It’s great that I can go from my Xbox Series X and over to my PS5 Pro without needing a second headset is great.
Overall I really like these, they’re classed as midrange but outperform many others at this price, the comfort is as good as any and the sound is great.

Good, lightweight headphones that work great for gaming; not as great for music.
CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN
These headphones are lightweight, but they still feel rugged. A metal band in the head strap is evident, and presumably there’s metal reinforcing the joints as well. The buttons are big and easy to find. The physical, analog volume knob is a rare luxury these days. Adjustments are easy to figure out for a good fit.
Steelseries headsets can be personalized with additional “booster packs” that are available for sale. This is a nice option, and I like how easy it is to pop pieces on and off. If one is inclined, the look could be changed depending on the mood of a particular moment.
They are comfortable. I could see using these for hours without any strain. Especially because they are lightweight, I enjoy wearing them. I only have one concern: the weight is actually concentrated higher up in the band, different from most headphones where most of the weight is in the earpiece. As a result, these headphones seem to jiggle around easily. When I turn my head, especially up and down, they tend to move around on my head. The cloth ear pads are soft, breathable, and do a decent job of passive noise reduction.
I love the fact that there are two independent inputs for bluetooth and their proprietary wireless via the USB plug. This is a fantastic feature, letting me listen to two different sources at the same time. These really act like two completely independent inputs, that just happen to play through the same speakers. They even have separate power buttons. Most often, I’d have this connected to my game and my music, but it could be PC and phone, PC and TV, or any two audio sources. There’s a mixing knob which allegedly controls the relative level of each input, but for some reason it only works if you use it in conjunction with their special Windows software. Why? That really defeats the point of the control and the flexibility of two independent inputs, if you have to route the controls through special PC software. Very disappointing. It would have been so easy for them to make this work directly in the headphones, but they didn’t.
There’s also a physical wire connection for audio in/out, but when the cord is plugged in it seems to override all the other functions of the headphones. Too bad.
SOUND QUALITY
I love listening to music, and I love when it sounds good. So my first approach to these headphones was listening to good music, even though they are designed more for gaming. I’ll give my opinion about the sound quality for music, and then I’ll talk about using these headphones for gaming.
The first time I turned these on, my first thought was that they are punchy, but not in a good way. The sound is harsh with overpowered bass. The overall response is uneven and lacks refinement. Lots of harmonic distortion or even non-harmonic resonances that muddy up whatever sound is coming through. Music that ought to be pleasant and smooth comes through as jagged and sharp.
I realized, though, that these complaints about the sound quality might actually turn into benefits when gaming. Indeed, every little click and clang comes through like a bell. So if hearing in-game details is important, they will stick out like a sore thumb with this headset. What could be a lack of fidelity translates into a precise and punchy sound production that doesn’t let you miss any detail.
Similarly, the microphone is nothing to write home about in terms of accurate sound reproduction, but it has built-in automatic compression and level control that keeps voice at exactly the right volume level whether I’m whispering or screaming. I’m sure teammates appreciate this.
GAMING
Since these are built for gaming, it’s only fair to review them in a gaming context. During gameplay, sound effects come through crisp and sharp. The lightweight feel on my head means I’m not distracted by overly bulky weight on my ears. The microphone is on a weird bendy plastic arm which seemed to go wherever it wanted at first but is actually pretty easy to manipulate and get it to stay where it should be (just an inch or so from the mouth). And it slides up and out of the way when not in use. A physical pushbutton mutes the mic, which lights up red to make it obvious it’s muted. The button itself pushes in and out so that the feel of the button indicates its position, as well. The headset makes a beeping noise every time this button is pressed too, but for some reason the beep is the same for mute-on or mute-off so it’s not very helpful. As I mentioned above, the mic has built-in compression so that voice is always clear and consistently loud. It perfectly replicates a high-quality walkie talkie.
Overall, this is a great headset for gaming. I love the 2 independent inputs—but I would prefer to switch to a different pair of headphones for relaxing and listening to music.

I’ve had some time to try out the new SteelSeries Artic Nova7X Gen 2 Wireless Over-The-Ear Multi Gaming Headset it works for pretty much everything, including Xbox, PC, PS5, Switch, as well as Mobile Phones and Tablets
Getting started was fairly easy, I opened up the box. I’m using them on my Xbox series X, so I just connected the wireless adapter to an included USB cable dongle, I turned on the headphones and that’s all there is to it, I was able to hear game sound.
But this wouldn’t be much of a review if I didn’t take things a step further, I downloaded the SteelSeries Arctis App. Here I was able to pair the app to my headphones, fairly easy. I’m able to turn off or on a volume limiter and find the right preset sound equalizer for the game I was playing. As for the sound itself, they can get very loud, but the sound is always crystal clear. The bass isn’t the strongest, but overall, they sound very good.
The first thing I noticed about these headphones was how light they were, I put them on and the ear cups are made of memory foam and our super soft. One problem I’ve had with other gaming headphones in the past were that I hated when they would clamp down on my head, I will not be having that issue here.
The headphones themselves are very well-made, light, comfortable, the battery lasts a really long time between charges. The microphone is clear, my friends were able to hear me with no problems. There’s a lot to like here.

A Versatile Gaming Headset

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X Gen 2 Gaming Headset is a versatile gaming headset that can be used with various platforms from PC, PS5, Xbox, and the Switch. On the box, it may seem that this headset is compatible with only Xbox due to the branding all over the box, but this is far from the truth. I don’t even own an Xbox, but I was able to use this on a variety of platforms, and they work great! But there are a couple of downsides that I will cover later. This is my review of the gen 2 Arctis Nova 7X.
*TLDR at the bottom
=========
IN THE BOX/SET-UP:
In the box, you get the second gen Arctis Nova 7X’s, 1 USB-A to USB-C cable, 1 USB-A to USB-C input, cable, an AUX cable, a USB-C wireless receiver, and some documentation. There is no case included, but the soft pouch included to protect the headset can be used as a soft case if you would like.
The setup and pairing process was somewhat frustrating. This is my first SteelSeries gaming headset and I am not sure if the pairing process is the same for all devices, but I found the pairing process for this headset to be a bit clunky. On PC, while using the receiver, the pairing process was flawless and all plug-and-play. On my PS5, it took a bit more work to get the headset to work. I had to go into settings and essentially enable the headset. But the clunkiest part of all was setting up the multipoint connection. I sometimes watch sports while gaming, so it was nice to have this feature available on this headset. For the life of me, I couldn’t get this headset paired to my phone with Bluetooth while the headset was simultaneously paired to the receiver. Anytime I would initiate the Bluetooth pairing process, the headset would not show up in my phone’s Bluetooth settings. What ended up working was first disconnecting the headset from the receiver and then proceeding to first setup Bluetooth. After Bluetooth was setup, I paired the receiver to the headset. Only then, I was able to pair both devices up.
=========
DESIGN/COMFORT:
In terms of design, the second gen Arctis Nova 7X looks like your typical gaming headset when the mic is out. A feature I love is the retractable mic. I own gaming headsets where the mic is detachable and prefer this option much more as I don’t have to worry about losing the mic. There are two headbands. One to hold the headset together, and the second is a soft fabric-like material that gently lays on the top of your head. The headset is all controlled by buttons, and this did take me some time to memorize where all the buttons were. The scroll wheels also took some time to get used to.
As for comfort, this gaming headset isn’t the comfiest headset I've used but it is still comfy for long gaming sessions. I have a large head and did find that this headset hugged my head more compared to other headsets. Luckily after a couple of minutes, it breaks in and it all feels fine. The ear cushions are soft and comfortable. The memory foam like ear cushions certainly helped with breaking in and these aren’t too sweat inducing too. Also, if you wear glasses, these work fine with glasses too!
=========
SOUND/MICROPHONE QUALITY:
In terms of sound, the second gen Arctis Nova 7X sound great. It's not the most life changing sound, but with hundreds of available EQ presets for popular games, the in-game sound does improve. This was especially apparent when playing the second The Last of Us. The lows and highs were increased, which made the game much more immersive. I would like to add that sound is disappointing outside the box because by default, all EQ settings are set to be flat. I highly recommend the mobile app or PC app to be able to manage EQ settings. The PC app allows you to be more granular with the EQ settings compared to the mobile app. The mobile app as of 10/2025 only allows preset EQs to be selected. There is also no noise cancellation available. For the mic, mic quality is great, I have a clicky keyboard that is on the louder side, and it does an excellent job at blocking out the background noise.
=========
FEATURES/OTHER NOTES:
Below are some key features and notes about the second gen SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X Gaming Headset:
- Button controls on the headset are easy to use but may take some time getting use to
- The Arctis mobile app is simple and doesn’t offer many options in term of customization
- The Arctis mobile app allows you to only select from preset EQ options for both audio and mic
- The PC app offers much more customization and settings for the headset
- EQ settings can be fully customized with the PC app
- Firmware updates can only be installed within the PC app at the moment, not the most ideal if you are a console only gamer
- The on-device settings are carried from one app to another (e.g. Mobile app to PC)
- Battery life is amazing; I have been using these for a couple of days and there is still some charge left
=========
CONCLUSION/TLDR:
Overall, the Gen 2 Acrtis Nova 7X is a suitable gaming headset for most people. Outside the box, the sound is disappointing but once you move into a different EQ preset, the sound quality increases tenfold. The versatility of being able to use this gaming headset with different platforms is amazing. But if you are a console only gamer, just be aware that your options for customization and settings are limited for this headset. Also, If you have a larger head like me, I do recommend finding a different headset because while it is comfortable after “breaking” it in, the initial half an hour or so feels like the headset is trying to hug your brain juices out of you. If you don’t have a big head or aren’t a console only gamer, definitely give this gaming headset a try!

I have multiple sets of headphones for gaming and A/V listening, but this is my first that are SteelSeries brand. The construction of the Arctis Nova 7X is good – comfortable ear cups, adjustable headband, and they’re lightweight. And the retractable microphone is very nice and projects my voice clearly with no distortion at all. Battery life has been the most impressive.
Connecting the headset via Bluetooth to the PS5 and mobile phone, and to the PC using the USB-C Plug-&-Play dongle went seamlessly. Of course, to have any real control over the sound quality, you need to install apps on the PC and on your mobile device. Though noise cancellation was near perfect, even after EQ adjustments, sound quality itself was only ever just average to me. Being able to take my phone calls during gaming and still hear sound from both over the headset worked okay.
One design irritant that I must point out is the convoluted way firmware updates have to be installed. It can only be done on the computer using the PC app, with the dongle connected and the headset itself plugged into the PC using the provided USB-A to USB-C cord. Hopefully, there won’t be many updates, because who wants to go through all that in this age of one-click installs and automatic updates?
It would be nice if the Plug & Play dongle was narrower in width. The current size could pose an issue depending on how the ports on your PC are laid out as the dongle may cover up neighboring ports when plugged in. Not necessarily a dealbreaker by any means, just something to consider.
Overall, the Arctis Nova 7X is a solid set of headphones with excellent battery life and decent sound quality that would be a good buy at a lesser price point.

These were boxed nicely, with the 3 cables and guide in separate compartment. First impressions were of excellent construction, but they seemed a bit heavy compared to my other headphones. However, after trying on they are amazingly comfortable, but can slide back or forth on your head – as many large headphones can. Clamping force is not excessive, and I used these for an extended time with no discomfort.
The headband is steel with an adjustable elastic support strap that can be set on different pins to personal liking. The ear cushions are well padded and comfortable. The other parts are plastic, but fit well, and the swivel and extension joints are solid and do not flop around. Overall, very well built.
Here are just a few of these 'phones specs / features. Neodymium 40mm drivers, giving a frequency response of 20Hz to 22Khz. Wireless connection using Bluetooth or wireless with the included 2.4Ghz dongle. The dongle is USB-C and switchable for pc or Xbox gaming. Retractable boom mic with bi-directional noise canceling. Fast charge battery (15 min for 6 hours), and a stated up to 42 to 54 hours of play on blue tooth or wireless. These have the capability to mix both Bluetooth and wireless 2.4Ghz at same time from separate sources. You could be gaming and using mobile together, mixing the balance between them with the dial. An added feature is the 3.5mm port to use in straight wired fashion, with the included cable.
There is a mobile Arctus app and a pc Steel Series GG app you can download that has hundreds of game specific audio presets – or you can customize your own. Update firmware, set various EQ and volume levels / volume limiter, etc.
I tested these wired, wireless 2.4Ghz, and Bluetooth, using both pc, and android phone. I used for pure musical – jazz, classical, vintage, and was fairly impressed. Then used with movie and video playback. On to running a few games on pc.
Overall, the bass was deep and clean. Mids had good presence, and treble was crystal using wired connection. The sound quality appeared to be reasonably consistent when using Bluetooth or wireless. I was surprised that the latency when using Bluetooth was almost nonexistent. Made it actually possible to watch a movie using the Bluetooth. These have a decent “punch” when using with games, and puts you in the action. Noise canceling seemed to work well.
I did note that there was audible white noise when using either Bluetooth or wireless connection. Verified this by turning headphones on with no input and had white noise, and when using wired, this disappeared. Also, as I fumbled around with the controls on the ear cups, it caused loud scuffling sounds in the headphones.
I would highly recommend these for gaming, movies and videos. However, not the absolute best for serious audiophile music applications.

The name SteelSeries is synonymous with quality headsets. A group of headsets, you see the name SteelSeries, you snatch it...you're getting a good headset. Where that headset ranks amongst the other headphones is a different question, but you're getting a quality headset. While not perfect, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7x is for sure a quality headset.
Let me start with the one area I knock a point off for with the Arctis Nova 7X...build quality. The Arctis Nova 7X feels a little flimsy when grabbing them. Now...feeling the materials, outside of the earmuffs, the materials feel quality...but holding the headset, it feels a little flimsy. The earmuffs to the hand feel cheap. I was a little nervous before putting the headset on that I'd hate them...however, long play sessions they felt as comfortable as most other headsets. None of this stops the headset from being a great headset, but if I was looking at what could be a difference maker between this headset and another, this would be it.
Now...the sound. The volume on these felt a little louder than another high end headset I had been using without feeling distorted or off. Footsteps were clear on my shooters. The gunshots and explosions made me feel like I was out in a battlefield in real life. That loud volume comes without impacting battery life, as I feel like these things go without a charge forever. I've gone through multiple long gaming sessions with all the major games that have released lately without having to change or charge my headset.
A headset with great sound, long battery life, works on all devices, easy setup (which, I had forgot to mention) out the box...sounds almost perfect? The Arctis Nova 7X Gen 2 are almost perfect. Maybe my feeling in regards to the feel at grasp of the build quality is preference. I can't at this moment say how that will impact the headphones in the long run, but I'll say, out the box, these headphones are pretty much up there with any on the market and I'd strongly recommend them.

Right out the box I could feel the quality in this headset based on the weight and materials they used to make it. Even though it seems heavier than some of my other gaming headsets it is not uncomfortable to wear for multiple hours of gaming sessions. It has an adjustable strap as well as the headset itself can expand to fit larger or smaller heads.
It quickly connected to my XBOX Series X and the sound quality was phenomenal. The highs were very clear but it actually has a really good amount of low base. While playing first person shooters like call of duty in battlefield you can really hear the sound effects from all over the boards or maps. When playing boards with two or more stories I could hear the footsteps above me to know that there were people walking in the room above where I was standing.
The only challenge I had was updating the firmware. It requires you to not only connect the USB-C transceiver which also has to be flipped over into PC mode which threw me the first few times I tried doing the update, but it also has to be plugged in to the computer via another USB-C cable. Wants each of those things was done it very quickly connected and performed the firmware update via the Arctis software.
Pros
- High quality material
- Retractable microphone
- Very comfortable to wear for long hours
- Great battery life
- Looks really nice
Cons
- Updating firmware the first time was a bit of a challenge at first
- Requires a USB-C dongle to connect to the XBOX Series X
Overall not only does this headset look great and sounds amazing it is comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time.

The SteelSeries - Arctis Nova 7X Gen 2 headset is somewhat of a mixed bag for me. It has outstanding sound and mic quality, but not the best comfort and is confusing to turn on and off.
*Construction*
To begin, they are midweight in my opinion, not too heavy or light. They’re made with high quality and durable material. They extend smoothly and stay in place. The earcups are comfortable and provide noise canceling passively. The buttons and scrolls are well-placed and easy to find. The one detraction is the headband at the top. It presses down on my head while I wear it and begins to give me a tension ache at the top of my head after a while. I moved it up to the highest level, which does help a bit, but I am used to having much more comfort over my head with headsets that sell at much lower price points.
*What’s included?*
The headset comes packaged with three cables: an aux cable, a USB-C to USB-A charging cable, and a USB-A to USB-C dongle cable, along with the wireless dongle. Apart from this it has Bluetooth capabilities.
*On/Off Issues*
I find turning them off to be really confusing. Usually, headsets will either have a voice that states it is on or off or they will have distinct on and off sounds. This headset just gives a few odd beeps. What’s more confusing though, is that they refused to turn off sometimes and the light by the power button and the Bluetooth light start blinking, I’m not sure if it enters pairing mode or what is the issue, but they just don’t always turn off and I end up giving up trying. This defiantly could have been better programmed.
*Sound *
The first thing I noticed with these headphones was the amazing deep bass it produced. It is very rich. Conversely, mids and highs sounded rather muddled and flat initially. There was just nothing pleasing about it besides the deep bass. Once I downloaded the app and played around with the settings, I was able to get it to a nice balance wherein I could really enjoy and immerse myself in the sounds of the game. I highly recommend playing around with the app until striking the right balance for your tastes and type of game, it pays off.
*App*
The app allows for intricate manual customization of sound plus presets for a plethora of games, with more added constantly. I truly like the app for this. The downside, for me, is that it does more than this. Now some people may like this, but for me it is annoying because I already have an app for this and it just takes up more memory on my computer, but the app had been recording gameplay clips unbeknownst to me. I had to manually spend time deleting them and looking for how to stop it from doing this. I wish it asked instead of automatically performing such tasks.
*Mic*
The mic was actually hard for me to find initially. It tucks away so well that it seemed like it was part of the earcup until I pulled it out. It is rubbery, bendable, and stays put after adjusting. I like how it retracts so inconspicuously, but what I love is how well it picks up sound and omits background noise. It captures sounds clearly and crisply while nicely excluding background noises almost completely. Even whispers are so well-captured and crisp.
*Battery Life*
Battery life is remarkably long at over 50 hours. I have not, nor will I, have to charge them in weeks at my current rate.
*Conclusion*
As previously stated, I have mixed feelings when it comes to this headset. The sound quality is amazing, which is such a high priority for me as I enjoy sound immersion in games, and it helps immensely in giving an upper hand in FPS games. They are solidly constructed and feel built to last too. On the other hand, the comfort is not fully there, and I am someone who already deals with tension headaches on a regular basis. The on/off issue bugs me as well, I waste time trying to turn them off after each use and feel like this was something too simple to fumble at the price point they’re sold at. I think I will primarily use this for short gameplay because I do love the sound.

I had bought the first generation literally the day prior to these releasing but I’m so glad I returned it and bought these instead. The battery life is incredible. With my use it’s nearly a week between charges so I’m never worried about if it needs a charge while using them.
A minor change compared to the 1st gen that I also like is not having the green headband. The black that matches the other Gen 2’s looks much better.
Sound quality is great. If anything a bit bass-heavy but overall it sounds fantastic.
If I had one small complaint it’s that there is sometimes a bit of a creaky, plastic-like sound when putting them on but it’s nothing major.
Overall I’m very happy with these and plan on running them into the ground.

This headset has really good build quality, the price is solid for what you get. It’s not super expensive but not cheap either. It’s the perfect well built wireless headset. I’ve had no issues with connections or sound obviously the bass is not super crazy but that’s not what it’s meant for. I play PUBG & battlefield 6 and you can hear footsteps and know what direction very clear and crispy. I’ve debated between so many headsets this is the perfect choice. I guarantee it!

Headphones are decent for gaming. I mainly use them for FPS games and they really help with identifying sounds and the environment around you, like footsteps. They're also comfortable and I have no issues gaming on PC for hours. My only complaint is the mic isn't as that great when you are using it to talk to team members and sometimes is muffled. Other than that, one of the best gaming headphones I've used.

The wireless headphones work great on my Xbox Series X and my Gaming PC. I love the preset audio for games, it really brings the games alive and is even more immersive than my last set of Turtle Beach headphones. The headphones are so comfortable that you hardly notice you have them on till a sound pops up in a game!

Awesome headset, premium build, comfort, and sound. Incredibly comfortable earpads, lightweight, and phenomenal battery life. Perfect for long gaming sessions on any platform. The sound quality is amazing for both output audio and the mic’s input. Design and build quality are impressive with their steel frame, soft cushy fabric earpads, and light weight. The steel frame offers a strong, durable feel without being too bulky or heavy. Come in black or white to suit your preference and match the rest of your setup – the white pair goes great with my white-out PC build that I’m primarily using them with.
Design and Comfort
This headset has a great aesthetic look with smooth, clean lines. I appreciate the white-out frame with slightly grey/off-white fabric pieces that don’t show dirt or usage as much as white fabric would. These are incredibly comfortable with their soft memory foam earpads, even during extra-long periods of gaming or music throughout the day. The fit conforms to my head and remains secure but comfortable for my entire sessions. Weighing in at less than ¾ of a pound, I can wear these all day without even noticing they’re there.
Sound Quality
Sound quality is impeccable with the custom designed neodymium drivers. Simply incredible spatial audio surround sound. Large drivers offer extraordinary bass response paired with incredibly crisp and clear highs for a phenomenal, balanced audio experience. The immersive 360-degree spatial audio technology makes it feel like I’m in the action. These have active noise cancelling but also have plenty of volume when needed to drown out any environmental sounds. The available app highlights all the available features and allows full customization of an equalizer and many other settings if you want to do it on your own, but a really sweet feature of the app is that it comes pre-loaded and can instantly apply custom presets for over 200 games. This gives me the most robust listening experience tailored to deliver the best audio experience for each particular game – the way it was designed to be heard.
Battery Life and Connectivity
Battery life is incredible and able to go 50 hours on a full charge. These can power through and keep me going all weekend without needing to stop and recharge. Even if I forget to charge, they can be connected via USB-C and continue to power through. These easily connect to any platform via the 2.4 GHz USB plus Bluetooth. I absolutely love the simultaneous 2.4 GHz wireless plus Bluetooth connectivity. This allows for simultaneous connections, great for phone calls and music while gaming, eliminating the need to have a different set of headphones for all the different aspects of my day. These are an all-in-one solution, and I can do any type of connection I want seamlessly with this one headset. The mic noise rejection does a great job of reducing background noise to the mic, therefore conveying crystal clear voice only without any muffling, keyboard clicks, or other ambient noises annoying whoever I’m talking to.
Value
The cost is in line with similar higher-end gaming headsets, but these are packed with so many great features. Overall long session usability and simultaneous 2.4 GHz wireless plus Bluetooth connections really set these apart for me. Overall, I have really enjoyed playing with this headset.
