I bought this to commute to and from transit center, which is about 3 miles round trip, instead of driving my car and paying for parking.
My first impression was that it was rough. I felt every little bump on the road. I almost fell by cause the front wheel got caught on an 1/2" edge of a driving way.
Most importantly, I was disappointed about the range and speed. Unlike the spec, I was only able to get up to 4 miles (including down hill) and 10 mph on flat road (down hill doesn't count). However it was still convenient and fun so I kept it.
After 7 days of using, roughly about 25 miles. The motor died while the battery was still half full. Luckily, it was right before the best buys 14 days returning policy ended.
It's not worth it in my opinion

Bought this for my son for his birthday in February. He loved it! It worked great for a couple of months and one day he road it and it would no longer go when he pushed the throttle. It would chug, and vibrate then shut down. Turns out the motor failed. It was under warranty and swagtron would fix it for free however they wouldn’t pay to have it shipped. I put the measurements of the box it came in to get a shipping label and it was going to cost $160 to ship it back. Very disappointed that the company wouldn’t pay to have it shipped.

I live in Brazil and always wanted to have one electric scooter. So I did my homework and my choice was this one. Don't get me wrong, but the product came with the wheel not aligned with the handlebar, it seems to be something around 5 degrees to the right, so every time I drive, I have to remember that..... One other thing is that seems to be a "gap" (I dont know if this is the right word) between the handlebar and the wheel, so I have to remember not just the first problem that I mentioned, but this second one too.
Thank God I purchased the extended warranty, so next time I Travel to the US I will take my scooter to the Geek Squad to fix it or try to change for a new one...

My brother cannot ride the scooter enough. He lives in a big city and normally walks all over or takes public transportation which took forever and his feet took a toll after walking all over.
Now he just hops on his scooter and is the envy of many folks walking or riding public transportation.

Ok loved this thing. But I ride in DC, and bumps in the road or a sidewalk uneven ledge will destroy this thing. Rough ride, think that’s why bumps knock everything lose. Broke in 3 weeks for me. But for the price it’s very fun on smooth surfaces. Get the Segway ES1 on sale and it will last 100x longer- built way better.

I get about 6miles out of one charge going half speed! I wish it had pneumatic tires so it would go over bumps easier

This easy to ride for my first time ever riding an electric scooter. It has different speed settings , so you can limit the top speed to your liking. Has a led light for a head light that can be turned off or on.

I weigh 190 lbs. I'm lucky to get 4 miles on a charge. Power brake and wheel brakes does not stop me just slowes me down. Kick stand broke first day. I know 2 people who had this scooter and they broke on them. Will not display in miles.
You definitely go 5k slower on city streets then on smooth ground. It's a good first scooter to see if you want to spend the money on a better brand.

Brought this scooter for my 13 yr old son and he loves it! Swagtron is a trusted brand that has quality products. I purchased the Swagtron Hoverboard in the past and was very happy with the quality. I'm looking to purchasing another one for myself so we can ride together! Why should he have all the fun!!! Very nice product with great speed, feels like you're moving faster than what the speedometer reads.

Only had the product for a week, but so far it has met or exceeded expectations. I bought mostly for photo editing and graphic art work and it is out performing my slightly older desktop in most cases. If you buy one you should note the default display setting scales everything by 250% so to get the full effect of the 4K display you might want to back it off some.

I have been using this scooter to transport me around a college campus and it works great! I haven't ever run out of batteries, but I do carry the charger in my backpack to recharge midday; doing 1-3 miles per day. You cannot go on dirt, and you definitely feel the bumps. But if you have smooth walkways and bike lanes to travel short distances, this is perfect.

I actually did a lot of research on this scooter prior to purchase as a gift for my son. With pricematch very reasonable for the price. Set up was super easy and my kid loves it- very fast. The Warrenty plan seems important to have but I felt $99 was way to much for a product that was almost half of what I paid for the actual scooter.
