I love the camera's and they're super clear but i wish i knew how to view them on my desktop but i don't like the flimsy ethernet cords that came with them so i ended up making my own ethernet connections.

Swann Pro Enforcer 4k ultra-HD security cameras with NVR has covered all the features that a residential homeowner will be expecting from a camera to prevent crime. It has 24/7 free recording option on NVR with 2TB hard drive, Heat& Motion sensing alerts, night2day color video, security enforcer (motion activated red & blue flashing lights, sirens, and spotlight options), POE installation and so on. We replaced this with our Ring cameras for more advanced 24/7 recordings and 4K video capabilities. What is in the box: This is a complete kit for DIY install. Comes with 4 bullet cameras(white), 8 channel NVR (2TB hard drive), Mouse, HDMI Cable, Ethernet Cable(3ft), Ethernet cable (4 X 60 ft), Power adapter, Mounting Screws, weatherproof plugs, Manual, Stickers all packaged well. We opted for a professional install as our installation required more than 60 ft of cables and that attic crawl space was challenging. Upon install, one of the cameras were DOA and was not working. Had tough time to get connected to customer service and was told will receive a call from Level 2 support. Took more than 3 days to get the Level 2 support to call me. After few troubleshooting, they had to send a new replacement camera to complete our install. With up to 8 cameras upgrade, we can install additional cameras if required by purchasing additional cameras. For now, 4 cameras are good with our Ring floodlight cameras. Swan Security App needs little improvement and needs update. It was a real challenge for me to get the app connected to the NVR and after few attempts it got working. Initial learning curve is steep with this system compared to Ring or Nest products. This system requires to use mouse for any tune-up or camera settings and every time it requires admin password to be entered using mouse which is little annoying. Configuring with Alexa and google was easy and works great. Pros: 4K Ultra HD Resolution, Pro Enforcer motion activated spotlights, two-way audio, 2TB HDD, Cloud capability(optional), Night vision with Night2Day colored with spotlights on, Heat and Motion Detection, Smart Video Analytics, Weatherproof cameras, Free 24/7 recording Cons: Professional install cost, Poor technical support when needed, Mobile App Overall, it’s a good NVR SMART security camera system to start with for any home that needs most advanced security system to prevent crime.

Thank you very much for tasking the time to leave such an extensive review Tech Guru.

With regard to your comment about needing to enter the admin password to login and change NVR settings, just wanted to let you know that you can actually adjust this setting within the System/General section of the NVR menu. By default the Menu will timeout and lock after a short period for security reasons, but if you wish to you can extend this to 10 minutes, or deactivate it completely if your NVR is in a secure environment and you are not worried about anyone else accessing it.

We find that many of our customers do choose to install these systems themselves or with the help of a friend, but a professional installer is also a great option for others that are not so experienced at running the cables across their home.

      Hope this helps.

The Swann - Pro Enforcer™ 8-Channel, 4-Bullet Camera Indoor/Outdoor PoE Wired 4K UHD 2TB HDD NVR Security Surveillance System - White provides 4 bullet cameras that stream at 4k and all the required accessories required to set up a complete video security system. You can add 4 additional cameras for a total of eight. The Swann requires no monthly subscriptions, so once purchased, there are no additional costs. You can access the NVR (video recorder) video recordings by connecting the system to a TV or monitor, and/or via an app on your smartphone. Set up is easy as it's just a matter of connecting the cameras to the back of the NVR, which you connecting to your network. The system provides a myriad of options which would require a completely separate review to cover, but you can also simply plug it in and they will start working -- they'll automatically detect movement and start recording. All you need to do is select the cameras from the admin interface and you're set to go. They'll even pick up movement from heat generating objects so someone lurking in the bushes or in shadowed areas will trigger a recording. The camera also supports colored night vision, though for practical use there does need to be external light sources from somewhere. Without external light sources the infrared mode works much better. The cameras also have sirens and lights that can be triggered by movement. They are quite loud and using them is completely optional. They can also be activated manually from your NVR or phone. If you are notified of a detection, look, and see a stranger in your yard, or perhaps a dangerous animal if you live in a rural area, you can set it manually to encourage them to leave. You can also set notifications to alert you via your phone when movement is triggered, so you can even be notified remotely and check in and view your cameras while away from your property. The 4k video is stunning and allows for so much more detail than standard HD, which lacks detail and makes it difficult or impossible to identify a face or a license plate number. Overall, the functions and features make this system well worth the purchase and adding to that is there are no added subscription fees makes it an easy recommendation. Despite the many positives, there are some minor annoyances which keeps me from giving a five-star review. The "Pro" designation that sets this system apart from the standard Enforcer series seems to only be that they use Ethernet cable rather than Coax cable for the wired connection. The bullet cameras are slightly different in shape; however, the specifications appear to be identical. Power over Ethernet (PoE) makes running cables and connecting much easier and less messy -- you don't have to connect a separate power source as the prover is provided by the NVR via the single ethernet cable connected to the camera, however rather than the cable plugging straight into the camera, it attaches to a connector that is wired to the camera (see one of attached photos), preventing a clean wiring connection. It's a small annoyance in an otherwise great system, but it certainly could have been thought out better. The provided cables also feel rather cheap, but you can always buy your own cable in bulk, which will add cost, but will hold up better for outside use and allow for longer wiring runs than from those provided in the package.

The Swann Professional Enforcer Security System is a commercial grade NVR system that is packaged with an Eight (8) - Channel 2TB Hard Drive Network Video Recorder (NVR), four (4) Enforcer Controllable Flashing 4K Ultra HD Lights with 2-Way Audio, is a system that records for up to a year, is expandable to include up to Eight (8) Cameras, and has a one (1)-year warranty that can be extended. Flashing lights of blue and red with sirens are designed into the system to deter intruders. The Night2Day camera technology allows for color vision at night, and a 2-way talk is built into each camera where you can speak, hear, and record sounds. Installation is easy with the PoE Setup that even includes ethernet cable for each camera, and ethernet to the broadband. A customizable feature of the system is that the cameras can be setup for facial recognition that allows one to detect and be alerted of specific people. The system even works with ‘Hey Google’ and ‘Alexa’ where interaction with either of these enables speaking commands. A mobile app that collaborates with either Android or iOS allows for control of the system from wherever you are as long as you have a strong internet connection. Remote viewing is a necessity for most people today. What is in the box? Everything needed to install the four cameras and the NVR is included in the retail box. These items are an Eight (8) Channel NVR with a 2TB Hard Drive, four (4) - 4K Enforcer Cameras, four (4) - Ethernet Cable lengths of sixty feet each, one (1) – Ethernet Cable of three feet, an HDMI Cable, a Mouse, a Power Adapter, Mounting Screws and Plugs, Operating Instructions and Theft Deterrent Stickers. However, to make the system work you will still need 1. Electrical power, 2. A high-definition TV capable of displaying 720p or 1080 p video, 3. A router with a broadband internet connection, and 4. A mobile device to download either the Android or iOS app so that the system can be controlled remotely. The Cameras are very well constructed and made of all-weather resistant materials. The craftsmanship appears to be of exceptional quality. Each camera has a high-powered sensor spotlight and red and blue controllable flashing lights. They each also have an infrared cut filter for night vision, and a proprietary heat and motion sensor that uses ‘True Detect’ technology. The 4K Ultra HD allows for detailed video and the NVR or Network Video Recorder can retain the video for up to 1 year on its 2 TB hard drive. The difference in the DVR and the NVR is that the camera on the NVR system actually encrypts and processes data at the camera and then sends the images to the NVR recorder for viewing and for storage. The video sent is of high quality and with the color night vision and ability to detect certain specific facial recognitions, and all of these features and the quality of the overall product make this an excellent security system. It is compact, the hardware is easy to install, and the setup of making an account, connecting to your internet broadband, mobile app, etc. is very streamlined and easy to do. All of the steps are outlined in the directions which are written to be clear and concise. I recommend you give this system a try if you are in the market for a system that will secure your home, deter intruders, and provide the necessary video storage of any intruder that you may need later for prosecution.

If you are looking for a high quality 4k security camera system, look no further than the Swann 8-channel 4k pro enforcer system. There are many camera options offered by Swann so you can find something that fits your needs. The system I have is an 8-channel system and comes with 4 cameras, so there is room to add 4 more cameras. They have up to 16 camera systems out there, but the price is higher. I plan to add 4 more cameras at some point to cover some blind spots, but for now the 4 cameras can cover my main areas. Set up was very simple and straight forward. The documentation included will walk you thru the set-up process if you need it. These cameras will require some installation and an Ethernet cable run for them to operate. They are PoE so power, data, video, and audio all come over one wire. This is the simplest form of wired cameras but keep that in mind that if you are not handy with drilling holes and pulling wires, you will need to hire someone to install them. I was able to run the wires in my attic and drill holes in my overhang. The 4k quality of the video is fantastic and I am amazed by it. There are so many features that you can configure in the interface that I could hardly scratch the surface in the short time that I have had it so far. More time with it would definitely be needed to try everything out and fine tune the system. There is IR detection and different motion detection that you can play with along with scheduling. The system can send you a push notification, email, upload a picture or video to your cloud storage (dropbox). So many things. The 2TB Toshiba drive can store a total of 529 hours of video and I think that may be divided up between the total number of cameras that you have. Be prepared to spend some time playing around with the settings and fine turning it to your needs. Two-way communication on the cameras is decent, but not that loud and since mine are mounted high on a 2nd story, they are pretty much useless for that. The built-in lights are not very bright either, but your install may be better if you install on the ground floor. The siren is loud and annoying though and that may deter unwanted guests. Over-all, this is a bit costly, but you have the option of different cameras to use and the number of cameras as well. Installation cost might be a factor, but wired cameras work a lot better when viewing remotely on an app, and never having to worry about charging batteries is a good thing. Just be sure to have your NVR plugged into a big UPS to cover you during extended power outages.

The Swann Pro Enforcer security system, the cameras with the police lights. System arrived nicely packed and very well protected. This NVR system comes with 4 4K cameras, it has 8 channels and 2TB HDD. It is very easy to install. I did not even use the instructions provided. If you wish to use the instructions they are easy to follow. The explanations are in multiple languages and the installation steps are color coded. Once you plug the NVR to your TV the system will guide you through the setup process. If you have a 4K TV you will be asked to switch the resolution to that format. You will have to create a username and pswrd to log into the NVR as well. You will be using the included mouse to type and navigate through the system menus. The UI can be confusing at first but after using it a few times you will become familiar. The cameras are easy to connect via the included RJ45 cables and they are very long, 60ft. The cameras are equipped with night vision, siren, spotlight, red & blue flashing lights, and 2 way speakers. The images captured by the cameras are very clear, especially the night vision. Not only the images were clear but also the sound recorded. The siren was loud and annoying and will definitely scare people away. The spotlights were bright but they could have been brighter. Even after adjusting the light brightness to 100% they fell short of my expectation. There are plenty of settings to play with too many to mention. Something I found annoying was deleting videos. There is only one way that I found to do that and is formatting the drive. That can be easily fixed with maybe UI update but as of now you cannot delete individual recorded clips. You can access live feed or recorded videos through the Swann Security app. You will also be required to create an account unless you already have one. With the app you will add your device (NVR) by scanning the QR code on the device. The app is also easy to use and the video streamed showed in beautiful high quality. NVR has to be connected via ethernet to a router to have access to streaming features. It would be nice if they added wireless connectivity to the NVR. Overall this is an excellent surveillance security system easy to install and comes with all the necessary materials to do it yourself except the power tools. It has plenty of features, cameras are waterproof and the system can be used with voice assistants like Alexa or Google. In the box you get the 8ch NVR, 4 4k cameras, 4 60ft ethernet cables, 1 3ft ethernet cable, HDMI cable, mouse, power adapter, mounting screws, theft stickers and manuals.

Reliable Proven 4K Ultra HD Camera Security System

This is my second Swann wired camera security system, the first being the Enforcer which has proven to be a reliable camera security system that provides 24-hour surveillance. The new Pro Enforcer is an appreciated upgrade to an already proven system. First impressions were the quality and build of the cameras, metal housing with excellent mounting brackets. Next big favorite is the switch to ethernet cables rather than BNC camera cabling which allows for power over ethernet rather than having to wire all cameras with separate power cables. Really nice stuff. Setup is rather straight forward and familiar if you are acquainted with DVT/NVR type systems. Steps basically are to follow the instructions for hardware. Next step download and install Swann Security APP to your phone, which will guide your through the system setup. Swann’s system of communicating to the system remotely through the Internet is a breeze to setup, no need for advanced networking knowledge, which was typical in other systems I have used. Even with the simplicity of setting up access to the system the Pro Enforcer still offers advanced networking options which many will appreciate. During setup I liked that the NVR set my time zone automatically without my manually having to set. Also like the auto system updating feature. Email notification system (which supports up to three email addresses) offers simple setup as well as more advanced settings. Being a security system, you must follow the procedure for setting up account and password information with an eye to detail. Once the system is up and running you find that the cameras provide brilliant video to the system which you can monitor from anywhere over the Internet. Video picture in light, dusk and dark are excellent. Likes: 1. Cloud Storage option – Dropbox 2. 2tb HDD 3. Alexa and Google Assistant support 4. Temperature operating range (-22F to 131F) 5. Operating manual well done 6. Range of video specifications are excellent Could be improved: 1. Only @, #, $, %, ^ and & are the only allowed characters in passwords – does not play well with password managers 2. Ethernet cable provided only 3’ 3. Hardware installation This being my ninth camera security system over the years find that it offers nice features/improvements and continues to provide first rate video surveillance monitoring. The reliability of security systems is job one and the Swan Pro Enforcer delivers.

Overall This is a really good camera system. It offers quality features one would find in professional grade equipment but at the cost of an increased learning curve. This could be uninviting to some. That said, finding certain features could take much trial and error. As a button that might read “light” might need other settings configured to be able to get the light to come on for example. Lastly, my least favorite of things with this system stems from the cookie cutter approach swann took with this unit. The system apparently has much more features than the supplied cameras can use. I assume so that you can use with more powerful cameras swann supplies. This approach seems awfully close to the paywall system that almost everyone has started implementing from brands of consumer electronics, video games, and software developers to name a few. I’d prefer just getting whats advertised without the unnecessary bloatware that serves absolutely no purpose in my system. Physical camera quality is decent but not the best. They continue to use the same mounting stand/mechanism as some of their previous models. Their pivot method is possibly my lest favorite when compared with all options on the market. Video quality is nice and I seem to believe I get very good details. However, low light isn’t as great in my environment as it appears to create a lot of noise in the distance, which tends to extend into more lit areas. The detection settings do a fairly good job at picking out objects and highlighting them as they move in the cameras line of sight. However, there isn’t an option to filter false positives from our pets. Using the sensitivity options didn’t do much to solve the issue. These cameras will also see an animal passing by and label them a “person”. Overall these cameras did fairly well with the exception of some minor hiccups but to recap Pros Advanced Features Moving object detection Video quality Loud Siren Cons Steep learning curve Questionable quality mount Bloatware loaded No pet/animal filters

I have set up several wired security camera systems over the last few years. This is my second Swann system, except that the previous one was not PoE. The Swann - Pro Enforcer™ 8-Channel, 4-Bullet Camera Indoor/Outdoor PoE Wired 4K UHD 2TB HDD NVR Security Surveillance System is exactly what I was looking for. The setup process is straight forward, with good printed documentation in English, French and Spanish. Each step is two double-sided multi-lingual pages with easy to follow instructions and diagrams. The process has improved from over a year ago when I last installed another Swann system. This time it went without a hitch, firmware was already up-to-date. The number of times you have to “type” the admin password through the configuration screens has been reduced a bit but you still have to use the on-screen keyboard with a mouse which could be time consuming. I tried a USB keyboard, but couldn't get it to work, but there is no mention of keyboard support in the documentation. The front USB ports are meant for flash drives to copy recorded events or perform an off-line firmware upgrade. Now the most important stuff - image quality is great at 4K, though it still is a bit choppy for cars driving down the street. All consumer-grade 4K security camera systems are limited to 15 fps @4k. You can get 20fps at 1080p or 2k resolution. This system allows you to configure each individual camera channel to its own resolution/fps combo. You can also specify different resolutions for recording/playback and mobile app playback. These cameras are stuffed with so many features. The built-in red-blue flashing lights are very bright and so is the white spot light. There is also a microphone and speaker built-in to the camera, so you can record sound and also use the push-to-talk feature from the app to speak into each individual camera. Additionally there are heat and motion detection sensors as well as powerful infrared night vision. The Swann Security app for Android or iOS is easy to set up and much improved, though it still requires you to register and set up an account with Swann. You can change the resolution and switch between HD and SD in live view mode depending on your bandwidth availability. Pinch to zoom also works pretty well. Alexa and Google assistant integration is included. I tried it with my Fire TV cube and it displayed on my 4k TV. All in all, this is one of the best consumer security camera systems available, with great image quality and tons of features not found in other similarly priced systems.

I have had many security camera systems over the years and there are a couple things that I have come to prefer. I absolutely prefer wired systems over wireless because there is no chance the battery will die or be charging when you most need it. You can typically have 24/7 recording and ensure you never miss a moment. But, the install can be painstaking and not something everyone can do. Then there are mainly two types of systems, DVR and NVR. I would recommend NVR mainly because they typically allow for audio recording and two-way audio communications, have a higher frames per second recording and sometimes have a slightly higher field of view. This is the same case for the Swann DVR that I replaced with this NVR. Coming from the Swann Enforcer DVR to the Swann Pro Enforcer NVR I can say that it is an absolute upgrade. The cameras are better built with metal frames and hex key sockets for the adjustment points. It has audio recording, two-way communications via the app and increased frames per second. It has several AI options such as face recognition, human and vehicle detection and heat maps. However, it is like they have the lowest grade processing in the NVR. I first noticed when I connected the 3rd camera, that while watching it through the app for adjustments, that it was slower than the other two I had just installed. Then when I connected the 4th camera it was even slower. Video refresh on the app took several seconds. I thought maybe it was a fluke in the network and rebooted everything. It did make a slight difference. However, I then realized that when doing playback of the cameras, you can only view 3 of the 4 at a time. It locks the 4th out and for good reason because it can’t even handle watching 3. You literally can not watch playback video if you have 3 cameras selected. You can skim through the timeline and get a snapshot of all 3 so that you can narrow it down to 1 camera to actually watch the video playback. Live video plays all 4 of them at a lower resolution, but selecting HD/Mainstream on any of them will black one channel out and say “Not enough resources.” I can’t imagine what this system would be like if you actually used all 8 channels. Then you have all these AI features, however, it only has the capability to do one at a time. When you select one, it greys out all the rest. It still has the default motion detection, but if you enable something like Human and Vehicle Detection, you will get more specific notifications of your car still parked in your driveway 100 times. Along with the “human” dog that I have running around the back yard. It would snapshot each time it noticed a vehicle or “human” regardless of if they were moving or not. This then leads to the most likely use for the system, using your phone to monitor your home while away. They have updated the app from earlier in the year and notifications have improved. However, there is still something wrong with the communication with the app and the NVR. When you get a notification of motion, you can click on the notification and instantly be taken to live view. This is great for being able to talk to someone that might be there. However, most of the time the notification is already too late and you have to check the event. Playback of the event on the phone is better than it used to be in time of loading, however, it shows like 3 video frames in 20 seconds while the audio plays flawless. Try downloading the video and you might get 7 seconds worth of nothing you actually needed. If you want to see the actual video and it’s full 15 fps, you have to go back to the NVR and watch it. The same is true if you enable 24/7 normal recording as there is no way to scrub the timeline remotely. Then, if you do a backup of the video, there is no telling how many times you get a “glitch in the Matrix” type situation where it repeats a couple seconds. Also, the reported time for full recording and motion detection on this 2TB system is 132 hours with h265 encoding, not even 5.5 days. When I look back 5 days on the app, I’m told it can’t be displayed because the results are too large. Overall, the Pro Enforcer NVR is an improvement from their Enforcer DVR but it is not worth it. I have never had the issues I have with Swann systems with other brands. If this is the only system you have ever used, you may think it was the best and give it 5 stars because the video is decent when played from the NVR. But, when you try to put this to it full potential and expect the same you can get from a similar system, you will be disappointed.

Setup: Unboxing was pretty standard. The extra work to initially configure was a lot. I had to connect the nvr to the internet then the cameras to nvr. Nvr to tv and then mouse. When running the setup I had to type a password with the mouse and afer it was done I was able to add the system to the swann app. I have used other systems that connected all via the mobile app. This to me is the way it should be. Use: I found the app interface to be smooth and the quality of the footage good but I have seem better from other brands. There are great features like a night/home and away modes so you can have the system behave different based on need. The option to save footage to dropbox is a great add on. I thought the 2 way audio seemed delayed along with the playback of footage thru the app away from home. Pros: Includes everything Great app functionality Decent camera quality day/night Can add 4 more cameras Cons: setup time consuming Camera quality just ok Delay during live playback Lack of integration to doorbell and other home cameras. In summary this is a great system but if you want it to connect to other smart home cameras then you will need to look elsewhere.

This system would get 5 stars with 4K coverage with the live cam. The 4K coverage on saved video is incredible. No distortion when zooming in.

The cameras work well. A few adjustment issues regarding sensitivity but overall it’s a good product. The reason for 4 stars is bc Best Buy refused to honor their price match guarantee. I ended up returning the cameras and bought them from Sams club. Best Buy has gotten increasingly less helpful to its buyers.

I've owned Swann products before and they work amazing. I had to return this 16 camera system because of one faulty bullet camera, 2nd time around everything worked great... 4k clarity is amazing, system has tons of features. Worth the money!

I juust wrote a detailed review of hardware and software issues and the webpage cleared what I'd written. Now you get the quick version: None of the eight camera speakers work and now two cameras have completely failed after three weeks. The software is incomplete and so is documentation. Swann support is next to useless. I don't think even they have complete documentation, The captured images and sounds are good.
