This was our second TCL tv purchase. The first was damaged by accident. Right away, this tv has great picture quality, good color, fairly easy to use controls and a simple setup. Not on the same level as a high series Samsung but for its “weight class”, it’s an awesome tv.

Roku is my favorite smart app for TVs. I've tried them all and I keep coming back to Roku. No complaints here for a TV in this price class. Good return on investment for a bedroom TV.

Easy set up, great picture. The only thing I don't like is it only comes with a Roku remote. There are no numbers so you have to change channels by accessing the channel guide. You can't just press the channel number. But for less than $200, I'll live since this isn't my main tv.

bought this to replace a 26" 720P TV for the kitchen. looking for something smaller like a 32" and i was cutting the cable cord. so this 40" with ROKU for $199 was just too good to pass up. LOVE IT!!!!! 1080P but in the kitchen 3-4 feet away it looks like 4K the Roku needed to be set up with my netflix, prime and Hulu accounts. once i did that BAM! So easy to use, great price, great picture. bought Roku for the rest of the house. simple simple simple

Love the TCL Roku TVs. This is our 2nd one, the other is a 55”. Great picture, and easy to use. TCL makes a high end TV at an excellent price. Roku is awesome, and I recommend it for anyone trying to cut the cord.

I've had the TV for probably 6 weeks. It was easy to set up, I'm not good at that sort of thing and had no trouble. I love the smart TV, it gives me so many options. The color is very nice, the sound quality is great. I reccomend this TV

This TV has a great picture and is easy to set up and use. All of my streaming apps work well and it was easily mounted on the wall. Connecting the dvd player was a breeze and now I can watch all of my old movies as well. The size is just right for a bedroom.

Excellent picture, very light and thin frame, roku Netflix espn already built in, easy to use and set up, only complaint is the remote, the volume button is right on the side so whenever you pick up the remote, it turns up the volume

The set-up was so simple and quick. roku interface is proven so this is not surprising. The size is perfect for a home gym where I am using it, but this would be great in a small bedroom as well. No guilt on the price as well.

Got this as a replacement for an old 32" set. Picture is crisp. The built in Roku is handy as we're trying to wean off cable. Takes a bit of learning to find what you want compared to cable, but it's not bad once figured out. Great value for the price.

Got this as a 2nd tv down in our basement/bar area and it's perfect for a secondary TV. Great picture and can't beat the price. We watch a ton of sports and the colors are great.

Overall I like it - I’ve owned it a month. I was surprised how light it was compared to the similar sized flatscreen it replaced. Nice picture quality, good sound, I wanted a Roku TV and this was a good deal for same. One issue that others have mentioned is you can’t use the sound leveling feature (so you don’t sometimes get blasted by annoying ads). I turned it on and the tv started to have buffering delays that were really annoying. That’s not a big deal but something to be aware of. Also the Roku remote does not have voice command, but at this price point, you get your moneys worth.

My first smart TV was a 32" Roku tv from about four years ago, and it was just time to finally upgrade. $200 for a new tv, and my first one four years ago was at least this if not more so the value is great. This tv is a great size for our bedroom, and the 1080p looks wonderful. Roku is a very easy way of navigating aps on a TV. My only complaint was the packaging, and not even that it wasn't secure or anything like that. It's in perfect shape. My only issue is the plastic film normally on the black frame of the tv (not on the screen) was TAPED to the screen. It forced us to touch the screen and leave smudges and fingerprints right out of the box. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when everything else was wrapped and secured properly, why on earth did the packagers at TCL think putting tape on the screen was smart.

We got this TV for my wife to use in her home office. It works well and has a good picture. I also have Fire TV and Chromecast and I must say I am not as fond of Roku's interface as I used to be. Overall it is a great set with a few drawbacks. After having Fire TV and Chromecast the remote is slow to operate and you must have a clear line of sight to get it to work. The volume does not always go up and down evenly sometimes it jumps by 2 rather than 1 point. We have had some occasions where it will randomly lock up, not sure if this is a TV problem or my internet feed. Overall for the price I paid I do not have any really bad things to say. Would recemmend

Great picture, easy set up. With the built in Roku, access to streaming sites is simple and hooking up an antenna to get local TV was a snap with the TV's auto detection. I think I might get one to replace the TV in the bedroom too.

Bought this TV 2 years ago. Its still running strong (knock on wood) despite daily use. I use it for viewing purposes only and recently cut the cord with cable TV. Roku plays really well with streaming apps. The sound and picture are always consistently clear. The one downfall is the remote. While I don't mind the simplicity of it, the buttons are very wobbly and don't always send the signal to the TV. There also seems to be a delay sometimes between when I push a button on the remote and when the TV responds. I was able to increase the volume associated with a sound that plays when remote buttons are purshed. Despite the remote, I'm happy enough with it to consider another TCL TV purchase in the future.
