I bought these for sim racing with Triple 55" + Asus 3080. I am a Sony fan boy. X85x95k and a few x90k's in my house. X950h too. As a result I was so surprised about the color volume and VRR features the Q5 had in 4k 60hz HDR. And the sharpness was clear not fuzzy or dirty. The brightness is knocking at the door of being pretty good. Only downside for me was the back lit panel. I could power through it but it bothered me racing at night. My little 3080 was able to run triple screens 4k 60hz HDR + VRR + GSYNC on Assetto Corsa, ACC, Automobilista 2, and Iracing without DLSS. All of them playable without screen tearing. All for under $1k. F1 22 brought my 3080 to its knees and I had to use DLSS at 4k 60hz HDR triple screen. Still though F1 cars reflections looked very appealing. I tried 1440p 120hz VRR but I didn't like it. I wouldve kept the TCL Q5s if I was trying to keep cost down but I ended up buying an ASUS 4090 and triple Hisense 55" U7K because I knew I really wanted 4k 120hz and a full array panel with local dimming. I was so impressed by the TCL Q5's and 3080 though. These TCL's at $299 make triple 55" 4k 60hz with VRR a VERY appealing option when compared to 32" gaming monitors that probably only do 1440p and cost $300-$500. 4k gaming monitors even more. The Hisense U7K are good but definitely not in the same range as my Sony x90ks. I like the full array panel but the HDR is not as bright or as expected. Good color volume though. With my Asus 4090 and triple Hisense 55" U7K's I'm running 4k 144hz HDR VRR 8 Bit Full range RGB. Both are great. The 60hz racing was pretty smooth too but the back lit panel on the TCL Q5's was the deal breaker for me.

The Sound: the clear TV sound with my 8 external attached speakers via the OPTICAL (DIGITAL AUDIO OUT) BUTTON (K) & the HEADPHONE OUT BUTTON (J) emit awesome theatrical surround movie sound. 4. Movies & TV Shows: to name a few (a) with my 10 $ TV Antenna it picks up about 40 major channels without cable; (b) it streams additional 100+ movies & variety TV shows channels withour cable; (c) add to all these (c1) numerous international movies & TV shows in many languages via the Movies & TV Option (Action, Western, Family, Drama, Romantic, Comedy, Teen Films, Thriller, Science Fiction, Crime, etc.), (c2) movies and shows from the numerous APPS such as YOUTUBE, etc, and (d) numerous TCL and Google TV channels, etc. 5. Additional Features: on the top of all the above, the options (a) great Search, (b) Gaming, (c) Music, (d) subscriptions to CNN, HBO, Max, etc., (e) Library of your watch History, Playlists, Music and more, and (f) the News, Sports (NBA, NFL, etc.), Live, etc. options.

Great product and easy to set up, reminds me of most Google products with easy of use home screen. Great picture with lots of options to optimize for movies vs gaming

What's good about it: the color is fantastic, so bright and vivid that I noticed a clear difference. It's smooth with it's UI and I like how if I turn on a gaming system, it will automatically change to that HDMI. It was super easy to sign in to things as well. The picture attached is a game that's pretty colorful, but it's even more so on this TV. What isn't the best: the remote it came with is very sensitive. I feel I could whisper and it would change to another app. And I don't know if this is an issue with our streaming apps or the TV, but it lags sometimes. Like a few good seconds before it'll catch up.

First TCL I have owned and did not disappoint. This was for my game room and was kind of hesitant. I definitely do not regret it at all. This has been way better than expected. The picture quality is amazing and the Googke built in was the big seller for me. I use Android TV boxes a lot and the Google saves me from using a box now. I definitely would recommend thus TV if anyone wants one for Gaming or Streaming. I couldnt be happier with this purchase and the price..

I tell you what, combine this with streaming services and it will knock your socks off. The 4K is stunning and doesn't time out and shut down like some other brands do. I have another tcl and this remote by is far the best they or others have come up with. Really intuitive and minimal, without too much or too few controls. The pausing and jumping is way easier than any other smart sets we have, I can work the remote in complete darkness purely by feel. I was really worried about the low price....but it didn't disappoint. Same on the audio, definitely above average for this price range. They made it where it sync's really well with your different google accounts.... took less than minute to lock in your YouTube account using your phone's QR scanner..... No more having to type everything in...crazy easy.. They really got it right, even the settings control is the fastest and easiest I've even used, way better than the Samsung's... The biggest regret, is I wish I had years ago. I wish it had time shifting upto 90 mins on live TV like the other 1K tcl we have..that will spoil you. But really don't watch live tv anymore, the other features have kicked that aside.. This was such a success, already eyeing another 65" TCL for another room. And this is following a Sony, Samsung, and a Fire tv, all of smart 1K's. Again this remote does circles around all the others.. If you get this...get Disney+ and start a whole new life...all those block busters will blow you away on this set.

Great TV for the price of $230. I hooked up my old UHD TCL 55" tv and put them side by side with the same youtube video - QLED was much less grainy and was much brighter. Definitely worth it if you need another TV and can't afford paying at least triple this price for an OLED. I did grab a budget sound system on sale for $100 to make the audio much better.

Who needs a Firestick? Every app you need is on this TV. If it's not there, add it! This TV has so many features it's slightly overwhelming, which is good in my opinion because it's the exact reason I upgraded from my old Vizio. I also have a 70" LG in my living room that I'm pleased with, making this choice a no brainer. The picture does this TV no justice. It's a nice, even, vivid picture for a non OLED/ULED TV. The sound, a with every other LG I've watched, is unmatched, and almost eliminates the need for a separate surround sound system. Setup was easy.

This is awesome TV I got it on sale and it's well worth the money the picture and sound amazing. It has Dolby Atmos and boy it is loud you don't even need to buy Soundbar for this TV. it has QLED technology that makes picture very rich Vivid and bright even during bright daylight. my dad loves this TV very much. This is our second TV from TCL. The picture in person looks much better then on these pictures...

This TV has a WAY better picture than it has any right to at this price point. My main TV is an OLED (which I love) and I have always shied away from QLEDs and their overt brightness and unnatural color. Well, it appears that TCL has a much better take on QLED than Samsung. This set has very natural color, excellent definition, and while it doesn't come close to delivering OLED-quality black levels, it is the best I have seen in this price class. I was also able to wall mount it single-handedly, making it the perfect bedroom TV.

This is my first 4k TV, but even seeing the picture on this qled one in-store compared to regular led ones, the difference is night and day. I dont use any of the smart features because everything i do is through my PS5, but the google tv interface has been very intuitive and easy. Pros: -Image quality is amazing -Easy interface -Different picture presets are actually good for different things Mids: -audio is decent, i’d say its on par with every TV, nothing special but not bad. No low end bass but it doesnt artificially try to boost it which is good because that tends to just make everything sound muddy Cons: -(minor) sometimes when changing from game mode, which is meant for low latency, to a different picture mode, the audio and video in a movie wont be synced up. The fix is simple though, and turning the tv off and back on after changing the picture mode has worked every time. -Motion rate 120 (fake image processing) causes horrible latency for gaming but you can disable it Pro tip for PS5 users: You can go to your PS5 settings, then to screen, and “test 1440p” to enable true 1440p 120hz gameplay with this TV. For rocket league, its the best experience you can get on a TV without breaking the bank. —(how it works, for other nerds like me who care: it uses every other row of pixels in offset 60hz, so you have half the 4k resolution at 1440p but twice the frame rate) TLDR: worth, gud PS5, okay sound, happy

absolutely amazing tv. The price, the sound, the pictures, everything. 10/10 recommend. It has a sleep timer if you want it to shut off after using it for x amount of time. I LOVE that it has so many different display settings for brightness. It’s such an amazing quality i can see the pores in peoples faces. you can download so many apps and watch live tv as well. Definitely recommend this tv

I am a couple months in and really could not be much happier. The only drawback thus far is my wife said she could not get HBO max to work on this tv. But it works on our other one so I'm not worried. Could be operator error. It's bright, clear, and sounds great. I got this TV for less than $300 brand new, which feels like a steal (black Friday). It's easily worth more honestly.

Got it on the black friday sale and it’s great for the price. It was a significant upgrade from my last tv that was really old and small. It was really easy to set up, took probably 10 minutes. Comes with the stand and screws. The picture is great and everything seems to be working great. There is some slowness/delay when exiting or opening apps, but nothing too serious. However the tv is really reflective, so I wouldn’t recommend it for bright rooms unless you want to keep the brightness at 100% all the time. I use mine mostly at night so I don’t have an issue with this. The remote is a little weirdly designed because there’s a huge chunk of it at the bottom that’s just there with no buttons. It could definitely be smaller than it is. Also I wish the buttons have backlight so I can see them at night but it’s not a huge deal. I will also be using this tv for gaming but I have yet to test it. Wanted a 120hz tv but got this one since it was such a good deal, will see how it does with gaming.
