Doesn't work as well as my old fashion rabbit ears

I thought a modern, HD amplified antenna would out perform my old fashion rabbit ears. I thought wrong. I returned this 60 dollar item and bought an 18 dollar set of rabbit ears from another store. They work equally well. I saved 40 dollars.

It has taken me a while to get the attena to pick up a signal. I have to keep moving it around. I live in town and still have to find a good place for it yet. When it comes in, it is very clear.

Tried to set this antenna up on the side of the house closest to downtown, for the best reception, with coax feeding to the other TV's in the house. The amp worked great at first, but then I started having issues with signal strength. I then removed the coax feeds to the other TV's and tried just the one TV closest to the antenna - still had problems with signal strength. Removing the amp from the equation and just using the flat antenna direct fed to the TV fixed the problem, but made it useless for feeding the other televisions. I've since gotten DSL and using Roku's for all TV's, only keep the antenna around for watching Jeopardy and maybe a primetime show or two on the networks.

This indoor antenna has a nice small footprint, but lacks the range of antenna forms I found previously on this sort of unit. There are no 'rabbit ears' along with the flat panel to pick up VHF low. The result is that in my area CBS which is VHF 10 is not received by this antenna. Best Buy actually had no indoor antenna in stock which would get this channel. Since Dish Network is in a feud with this network in our area, and therefore the particular reason I needed the antenna, this antenna does not work for my needs.

The salesman said this was the top HD antenna. It doesn't pick up very many channels and I don't live that far from N.O. For what it costs, I would go with the outdoor/ attic type instead.

Very good picture quality. Far better than my cable provider. Reception is very good. I recomend it. The negative is there is no channel 10 reception. As a note, I found if you place the antenna near a window and if there are blinds on the window you will need to place it in the window and between the blind and the window. The metal blinds interfere with reception. Over all I would recommend it.

If you are a TV weather may not be good for you. But I love it and I am glad that I bought it. I spent about $70_80 for this antena and I get between 20-30 channelso with clear picture as cable or satellite services. And I don't have to worry pay any monthly bill. In addition, I bought another one to insfall for my mother. She loves it. This item is quick and easy assemble. It may take 5-10 minutes the most.

The antenna I used at my previous home was a Terk and was very reliable. Unfortunately it doesn't work in my current apartment so I tried this one. It is able to pick up a couple stations, but not most. It had the best results of all the others I tried before signing up for paid TV services. I am in a brick condo complex in a unit on the opposite side facing the TV station towers. I kept this one in case I move into another apartment in the 703.

Bought to replace an old VHF/UHF 6db amplified antenna from Radio Shack. Picks up more HD stations than the old antenna did, nice appearance. Make sure you hook it up before you plug the power adapter in!

I bought a TERK- Indoor Flat Amplified HDTV Antenna on December 13, 2020 for my Smart TV. Since I do not have internet and wanted to use the TV. I get several channels and they are very clear. I do recommend anyone without cable or internet to buy one. This antenna is a great alternative to cable TV.

But is it three times better? Probably not. The stand is nice, and that can be screwed down locking in position. The signal booster is crap though and actually overpowers strong signals t o the point that weaker signals cannot get through. So it has little value to me. I'd recommend it for apartment dwellers that want to cut the cord. If you own your house though, I'd say get an outdoor unit.

It says it need very little adjustment. Which is true for the towers within a 20 - 30 mile range. Outside of that the reception did not exist when it is supposed to reach 65 miles. I don't expect flawless reception at least spotty. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment.

I purchased this antenna to replace an old antenna that was cheaper so I could get more channels. The Terk model, which has a larger range, actually gets less channels.

Antenna fails when it is windy outside, does not puck uo stations for the range advertised. When it does get a good signal the picture is very good.
