I first bought a GE Ultra Pro Optima HD antenna. I had to also purchase an amplifier for this GE because it didn't come with one. The TERK is a multi-directional antenna, where as the GE is not. I am able to pull in 6 more channels with the GE than with the TERK. So for the overall cost and performance the GE wins. I use the GE on the main TV, a SAMSUNG 75" Ultra HD, and the TERK on the upstairs TV near a window which helps its reception.

We have two of them. The one on the second floor picks up the tv reception better than in the living room on the first floor. Living in the city we have to readjust the antenna every so often in the living room. Both were bought to get rid of Spectrum and save money.

When I first bought Indoor Flat Amplified HDTV it work well.
After A month I couldn’t get the channels anymore.
When I moved it didn’t work at all. I don’t know why. I was getting channels without the Flat Amplified HDTV.
I still think it’s a good investment.

Bought this to try to get local Fox station since Dish Network doesn’t carry it any more. Could not pick up more than a few odd channels. This could be because of where we have to put it in the house and it doesn’t get enough signal. My parents have one and works good for them. Returned since didn’t work for us.

I was looking at an antenna for local channels. The outside mounted was what I was look at. An employee from the Store assured me all I needed was the inside flat antenna. It didn't take long to realize I should have went with the outside mount so I could locate it in the best spot. When you bring your antenna home and read the Instructions, it gives you a site to go to check what's out there and where it's at. It will also ask what your house is made of and if you have aluminum siding. I do and the offered program told me my application requires an outside or attic antenna. Since my house faces east and west. I have a two story house to the south of me which blocks my view of the Mountain. All our free broadcast channels come from the mountain. There for I need an out side mounted antenna that can be set in my backyard to miss all of the houses and trees to my south. If you have a clear view of the Casper Mountain and you can set this antenna in a window pointing at the mountain it is great.

Started with this antenna to see if the distance would work. I am 40 miles out of Nashville and was able to pick up about 4 channels. However the positioning was critical.

During the Olympics, we were getting a lot of signal drop outs from our attic antenna,. We wanted to see if the TERK would improve reception of NBC (local channel 11). It did a really good job and got us through the Olympics.. However, it isn't a magic bullet. We still get drop outs when it is windy.
