Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the ease of use and setup of this product, citing its simple installation and portability. However, many customers reported issues with picture quality, citing static interference and signal strength problems, particularly when the product is used over longer distances or near other electronic devices. Some users also experienced interference with their Wi-Fi network. While performance was generally positive for those who experienced no interference, the signal's susceptibility to interference remains a significant drawback.

Perfect solution for tv anywhere in your home

Moved our guest room to an area of our house that was not wired for DirecTV. Instead of calling and waiting for a service appointment, I bought this device and it works perfectly. Easy to hook up...took less than 10 minutes total. Picture and sound was almost seamless (noticed slight picture noise, nothing major). No interference with our wifi either, and both the router and this device are located near each other. In short, works great!

Not good quality, not good performance

I also bought, and have since returned, this product. Its made by Audiovox, so nothing special as far as construction quality. Has two wall warts for power to the units. I tried using it as a transmitter for the video output of my computer, and the image was incredibly noisy, with rolling bars and herringbone waves on the screen. The TV frequently lost its lock on the signal. The audio had a loud hum on all channels. So I also tried it with a DVD player. Same problem. This unit has four channels to choose from for transmit and receive, none worked with adequate quality. I have 5.8 Ghz phones, but I do have a Wireless G network, which is 2.4Ghz. So it's possible this was just the effect of local interference, but, seems to me that this product should be manufactured with that taken into account. To be honest, I'm not a great believer in product review forums like this, so my advice is try it, but be prepared for disappointment and lost time.

Works decent but not to expectations

I bought this because I wanted cable TV in the bedroom of my apartment and that was not available to me. Installation was a snap. It works fairly good but if you have a wireless "G" internet connection it will block it completely. I have no problems with my wireless "N" connection. There are times when I get noise and interference but overall it is acceptable. Can't say much about the range because my units are only about 20 feet apart.

I bought this item to be able to view satellite tv and listen to satellite radio in the garage without running additional coax. After using it for over a week now, the picture and sound quality are fantastic. Installation was very easy. In my setup, the transmitter is roughly 50' and in a straight line from the receiver. Be aware that this runs on 2.4GHz and anything on that frequency, ie. router/cordless phones, will interfere with the signal when in proximity of the transmitter or receiver. I had to purchase new phones since I wanted to keep this item and needed new phones anyway. Bottom line a great purchase for my needs.

    High hopes crushed

I was so excited about the potential for this thing, but it didn't live up to my expectations. The remote doesn't work with the Scientific Atlantic cable box from WOW! cable. I really didn't want to run upand down the stairs to change the channel. It continued to occassionally pop and crackle, which I thought I was willing to put up with, since I was so desperate for this to work, but the noise gets annoying after awhile. I have no other equipment to cause interference. I tried different channels and relocating equipment, which is hard with short cables, but it didn't help. Returned product (which is smaller than the one pictured here but same sku).

After reading prior reviews, I decided to purchase this unit for myself as where I live the layout in the units are pre-dertemined. After about 15 minutes of setting everything up, it was up and running perfect. I experienced no problems with internet, cordless phone, microwave, or cell phone interferance as some other people said they had. I would definetely recommend this to anyone who is in a situation where either you don't wanna drill holes in your wall and route cable to another tv, or you live somewhere where you can't.

I have dish tv and one unit telephone with four wireless units, and three computers that work off of a Links "G" router. I wanted to add a TV in my office without a Dish receiver so I hooked up the Terk Multiroom wireless and it worked with a lot of static I unpluged the main telephone line and power and it got a better picture but it still had bad lines that would not go away then I unhooked the Links router and with no other signals to mess with it, it had a beautifull picture and worked great I did not want to do without the computers or the phones so guess what , you guessed it I returned the wireless TV for a loss on my money. bottom line -- if you have other wireless products it will not work.

I've had the LF-30S for a while ( though mine looks different than the one pictured online, maybe mine is older version) and overall I'm very pleased. I spent minimal time setting it up, i.e. no time was spent trying to fine tune the positioning, etc. and have been very satisfied with its performance. Occasional "brief" static, and some static when changing channels, which might be overcome with some positioning changes, etc. The only interference I've encountered is with the microwave, which is in the next room, and destroys the signal entirely. We use it so we can have cable TV in our exercise room. Paid for itself with the first use. Highly recommend.

    Very Disappointed

I got this item to have a television in our master bath to watch in the morning while getting ready. It has several significant drawbacks: (1) Most importantly, it interferes with wireless internet service when either the transmitter or receiver is on. For that reason, I have abandoned it entirely since to watch TV I'd need to turn both units (including the one in another room). (2) The sound and picture quality are not good at all. The picture is worse than over-the-air TV used to be in the 1960s and the sound is very crackly. (3) You can't easily change the channel (though I didn't care about this since I just wanted to watch SportsCenter on ESPN anyway). I discovered all of these things after I'd set it up and thrown away the boxes, so I feel as if I just wasted $100.

I needed to send signal from my Direct TV box to another room that doesn't have a box. The price was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I did like the fact that you had the option to install the unit through RCA or Coax conectors. In any case, Once I had everything connected I could not get a clear signal. Another thing that I noticed is that it would mess up my wireless internet. After doing some research I realized that the problem was the 2.4Ghz that this unit uses for it to send signal. I decided to return it the next day and purchased a different unit that ran a 5Ghz signal. This new unit that I purchased works great, easy hook up and no problems with signal and internet. If you have wireless internet running 2.4 Ghz I would realy recommend purchasing the 5Ghz model instead of this one.

    WORKS GREAT, DESPITE NEG REVIEWS

i read some of the negative reviews here and elsewhere but still wanted to try the product. i am impatient so i printed out the page (with the sale price!) and brought it into the store. the box in the store is totally different-- it is now being marketed as "tv anywhere" or something, but once i read the manual i saw the terk brand, so i think it is the same product. the price was the same, and although it had not been marked down in-store, they gave me the sale price, so i suggest you do the same if you go to the store in person. once i got it home, i set it up- it took about 20 mins to do a little troubleshooting, but otherwise it was easy. my receiver needed the cable hookup instead of the red, yellow and white cables (which i tried first), but once the cable was in, it worked great. i also had no problem hooking up the remote control part, so now i can access anything on my dvr or on demand from another room! if you bring the receiver to any tv it works, so if you dont have a prob moving it to diff rooms as you move (i.e. kitchen, bedroom, home office) you only need one reciever and you can watch your favorite programs anywhere! in response to the neg reviews, i have not experienced a "delay" from one tv to another... also have not experienced any interference from appliances, etc... but one time... (when the microwave was on!) all i did was switch the freq switch from A to D on both the transmitter and receiver and viola! problem solved. i' ve kept it on D since and that seems to work all the time! LOVE THIS! i was finally able to watch on demand from bed last nite, and now am watching recorded programs on the dvr in my home office!

This was found on the website and was exactly what my parents needed to transmit satellite TV from one room to another. It was easy to install, had everything needed, and it really transmits a clear picture, sound, etc....no problems. Very satisfied with product.

Works well, but you are limited to the same channel as the host system. Using a splitter, I have one cable from the Leapfrog device and one from antenna connected to TV to have Mulit channels. Receiving TV set to antenna verses cable to enable both. Have two routers and they do not effect. Microwave is only item that effects it (sound). Best of both worlds, have cable and free HD tv. Good picture and Sound. If cable goes out, I still have stations to watch.

Just bought this today after reading most of the reviews and mentally prepared myself for the trip back to the store to return it even as I was making the purchase. To my surprise this product worked without a hitch despite having two wireless networks in my home; one at 2.4Ghz and the other at 5Ghz. The signal is going right through the wall from my office to the living room. I only wish that it had S-video or VGA inputs. Nothing to complain about with this purchase.

    Good Picture - Bad sound

Overall, the build of the unit seems good and the PQ is really good, even better than I expected, but there was so much static in the sound on every channel we adjusted (A - D) and everywhere we pointed the antenna that it rendered the unit unusable. I even unplugged my wireless router (which was the only other 2.4 Ghz unit in the house) and the static was still just as bad. BTW - the we we re only trying to send the signal about 20 feet to the next room. Nice concept, but obvious improvements need to me made.

I read the 2 reviews on this product, one pro and one neg a nd decided to give it a go. I decided to try it because my home is quite small and the transmitted distance does not have to go through more than 1 wall (with the door closed). I set up quickly and recieved the same problem the other gent did right away, rolling bars and spokeing. I disconnected my 2.4gig phone, no help. I tweaked antennas and channels until I found channel 3 now working with minimal visual disturbance (antennas extended to rediculous positions) and thought I might be satisfied, on to audio. I played a movie from netflix.com on my connected notebook and rushed to the living room to check the performance and the audio was very weak. I turned the volume way up to a audable level and noticed a very annoying clicking sound. I tried to swap the audio to my entertainment system to see if it would clean up .... When I powered up the entertainment unit the audio and video went nuts, I suspect the tx and rx are very susceptable to EMF's. I had it, completely frusterated now decided to return the product and went back to the store to get my money back, bottom line is the product can not transmit 20-30 feet. Best Buy should pull it off the shelf.

This product works as described. I have had it for several days and am happy with the performance. Only a small amount of delay, but since the tv is in the other room, it's not noticeable. Would like it if there were more connection options, only AV for input.
