The Terminator was a great Arnold movie for a classic movie flashback. It was purchased as a gift for a friend that loves Arnold movies.

this is just an all time classic sci-fi/arnold movie.

Dont know why i waited so long to buy the original..

Almost everyone has seen this; so will confine my comments to the transfer. This movie has previously been released on Blu-ray(and DVD); the sound format was PCM 5.1(and, quite good); the video was just slightly better resolution than the DVD. The video for this one is clearly better than the previous offering. The special features for this one are the same as the first Blu-ray offering. If you have the original "Special Edition" DVD of "The Terminator(a 2-sided disc)"; I would advise you to hold on to it as it has a number of Special Features(or Bonus Features) that were not transferred to either of the Blu-ray editions. This Blu-ray uses the DTS-HD Master Lossless 5.1 format for the movie. The sound and picture are great! I can recommend this most highly!

I love Arnold, I love this classic, I love blu rays, and most of all I love remasters that ACTUALLY make a difference. This is the only blu ray out there that did it right from the original master, the video has far less grain, better resolution, and less artifacts than previous releases of this film. For me the movie itself is a 5/5, especially considering the time and low budget they had making it. The sound & audio now move up to 4/5, again considering the time it was made and it being a low budget film. I think they squeezed the most they could benefit from out of this great film as far as visual and audio remastering. For the price, It is one amazing buy.

The Terminator is a 1984 American science fiction action film directed by James Cameron, written by Cameron and the film's producer Gale Anne Hurd, and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton. It was filmed in Los Angeles, produced by Hemdale Film Corporation and distributed by Orion Pictures. Schwarzenegger plays the Terminator, a cyborg assassin sent back in time from the year 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, played by Hamilton, whose son will one day become a savior against machines in a post-apocalyptic future. Biehn plays Kyle Reese, a soldier from the future sent back in time to protect her.

I can still watch this movie as old as it is and it's still good. Alot of action.

Arnold at his best. Terminator is a classic movie that still holds up in 2019.

My family enjoys this movie. It is a fair movie in my opinion.

I'm going to admit it-I have bought this movie again and again. First on VHS, then on DVD, then on special edition DVD, then Blu-ray and now a special Blu-ray version that includes more special features and an HD digital copy! Plus I was surprised to open it and find six collectible postcards inside! Very cool. For the price Best Buy has it at it is definitely worth another upgrade! Finally I think I own the definitive release of this movie, well for now anyway. After all 4K is on the rise. All in all a classic sci-fi film, ahead of its time!

I was shopping around in Best Buy and noticed that this was on sale and that it came with $8 movie cash to see the Deadpool movie. Since I was planning to spend that much on a movie ticket anyway I decided to buy the movie since it was basically like getting a free movie out of it. I honestly couldn't be happier! The cover art on this release is awesome and it even included a digital copy and a few exclusive collector cards with different screenshots from the movie on them! This is a must have for any movie collectors collection!

I was very happy to find this remastered version available on sale but when I went to get it, the cover art was very different than what is pictured. While I don't mind Arnold on the cover, it also came with a special "90th Anniversary" cover glued onto the clear plastic outside of the Blu-ray case but I was really looking forward to the eccentric art pictured. Granted I bought this upgraded version since it has been remastered and garners better reviews so the cover was not a deal breaker. The SKU matches and it speifies "remastered" on the back so it is the correct version. To top it off, I kept the original lenticular slipcase since I didn't get the eccentric cover art so I'm happy. Anyway The Terminator does look the best it ever has, the audio remix is a little better than before but still suffers from the age of the film but a worthy upgrade or new purchase if you're interested.

I purchased this after already owning the Terminator Anthology on Blu-ray. When I saw this for $7.99, I knew I couldn't pass it up. For $7.99, I got a free movie ticket to see "Deadpool", a newly remastered "Terminator" blu-ray (unlike the version in my anthology), a red blu-ray case, and collector postcards. I thought it was an awesome deal! This comes highly recommended. Terminator remastered looks great!

The fact that this movie came out that many years ago and is now on blue ray doesn't give you a hint of how good doesn't give you a hint. I mean really, a classic story that really tells the story of how much freedom we give our IA as we develop it. Again no spoilers here, just saying it's a classic and you will see many other movies trying to retell this story. For it's time it was top of the line.

If you are a fan of the Terminator movie, you will know that this is a must buy for Terminator 1. It is one of the best sci-fi action movies ever made. Definitely purchase this in a Blu-ray format for enhanced visuals and to see some of the better outtakes for behind the scenes footage. Definitely a must buy. Add all parts 1, 2 and 3 to your collection.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It get over shadowed by judgement day, but i love this movie just as much. If you haven't seen part one and only seen judgment day please do your self a favor and watch this movie. Michael Biehn does a great job as Kyle Reese and you cannot not fully appreciate Linda Hamilton's performance in judgment day if you haven't seen terminator.

This movie may seem dated and special effects look horrible but this movie just kicks but. I think it's the best of all the Terminator film's. If James Cameron was smart he'd take out all the special effects and re do them digitally. I know it was a low budget film but the story and acting are really good. Just think Ridley Scott's Blade Runner The Final Cut.
