The Bodyguard was quite the phenomenon when it came out. Don't believe me? Just look up it's worldwide box office total (and remind yourself that those are 1992 box office numbers!) and look up how well the soundtrack did. Does it hold up? Well, mileage varies just like any film does, but as a Kevin Costner and early works of Lawrence Kasdan (the writer) fan, I still enjoy it even with it's dated aspects. I mean at the end of the day Whitney Houston basically sleeps with Kevin after he takes her to see an Akira Kurosawa film, so I can't complain much. The bluray has a nice filmic quality to it, though it's not going to be your reference disc! The songs and music of course sound fantastic.

The Bodyguard came out more near the end Of Kevin’s Costner’s amazing run at the box office (and with critics). It’s hard to realize what a huge impact it had if you weren’t around then. The soundtrack is the highest selling soundtrack of all time, and the film was #2 at the worldwide box office that year. The bluray looks nice, it had a nice, filmic transfer that won’t blow anyone away but certainly looks good enough for such an old catalogue title.

What happens when circumstance brings together two 'super personalities' at the top of their game? Whitney Houston is the super-star celebrity with a huge fan base except... one of them is threatening her life. Kevin Costner is a super-security expert hired to protect her. Both have similar drives to be the best in their field. What starts as a conflict of personalities soon develops into a mutual attraction. Well done film, story, music and two great celebrities in their own right. "The Bodyguard" stars the always believable Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston in her debut dramatic role.

I bought this BD just to recall my old memory when I watched this movie almost 30 years ago. And I was a great fan of Whitney Houston and this OST too. Though she was gone, but here she is still alive with the most beautiful appearance and voice. As it was before, it simply gives me happiness for 1 h 30min while watching the movie.

This movie is sooo sad to me that I watch it and actually miss Whitney! One of the best voice in the industry. When she pasted away, I had a driver job during the time and someone ordered a bunch of flowers and I had to deliver them to the family. I reached The Beverly Hills Hotel and all you heard was her music blasting as loud as possible! I miss you Whitney Houston and I will always love you!

I originally watched this movie when it was released 20 years ago and loved it. It was a great movie then and still is. Best Buy delivered it in excellent condition and a day earlier than the scheduled delivery date.

...saw this movie in the theater several times when it first came out and purchased it recently to watch with my daughter. she enjoyed this movie and agreed that this was a great love story and the music was beautiful. (it's a rare treat when i can share something 'old' with my daughter and have her enjoy it as much as i do--all these many years later! :)

I hadnt seen this show in a long time. I kept remembering it was someone else trying to kill her but at one point remembered who put the murder up to it! Its a very good movie all the way to the end. Great singer gone too soon! Kevin Costner was fantastic as always!

I have enjoyed the Body Guard since it first hit the movie screen back in the day. I own the dvd already but my son adores this movie too so I ordered this copy for him. Best Buy had a great price of 3.99 and if he damages it that's on him. My copy will stay perfect. This new dvd is in great condition and the movie plays very nicely. R.I.P Ms. Whitney. You were great in this movie.

This is an excellent movie. This is my third purchase of this movie because I gave the first two to my friends. If you are a Kevin Costner fan you have got to have this in your collection.

I have seen this movie several times and cannot believe how Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston worked so well together. Great script and cast. The sad part is that we have lost Whitney Houston's wonderful voice and character in real life. The movie definitely makes one cry.

I grew up watching this, so it was a nice day of nostalgia seeing it again. And with a solid HD transfer, it was the clearest/best viewing of the actual movie I've ever seen (I grew up with it on VHS).

A classic movie that takes you back to when both Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner were pretty much at their peak. There's a great storyline and romance, lots of suspense and action and some powerful performances by Whitney that may bring you to tears remembering the talent she had.

I decided to make this purchase because my mother loves classic movies and another site wouldn't let me purchase it unless I made another bigger purchase which I thought was silly. Visited bestbuy.com to see if I would have the same problem and it was not the case!

First of all or mainly WHITNEY HOUSTON!!!!. Great singer,good actor. R.I.P. Whitney your the greatest and gone way too soon!. Her performance in this movie was excellent and her singing was as usual the best.

If you like how she sings then you'll love this movie. If you can't stand Whitney just watch Costner play his heroics. Its better than watching Clint Eastwood be a CIA agent protecting the president. The movies crosses cultural boundaries and career lifestyles.

I love Whitney Houston & this movie really showcased her beautifully. Kevin Costner & her were perfect in this romantic, suspenseful, incredible movie. Their chemistry & performances are great; I love everything about this movie!

Nice movie in 480, and didn't really translate too well to blu-ray. It does look better, but it doesn't have that knock down WOW punch to it. But I got it on sale and I think it was worth the price.

Great movie by the late Ms. Houston! Voice of an angel with the fantastic acting ability of Kevin Costner! You can't go wrong! They work some magic together!

Whitneys gone. This is her in her prime. Get this before it goes out of print.
