He assured us this was THE BEST laptop on the market and that he had a Toshiba that had lasted for years and not to pay attention to the ratings because they are made by people who know little to nothing about computers. The laptop has been an endless source of frustration for my son and for us. Very slow to boot up, frequently drops internet connection, constantly updating something which makes it run slower than it should, etc, etc. We are not happy with this product, nor the sales rep, and will think twice before we purchase another piece of computer technology from our local store.

Based on your comments about constantly updating, it sounds like Windows Update has been busy getting and keeping your Windows installation up to date. Toshiba does not force or "push" updates but it may be that Windows 10, as a new, major release of Windows, has been updated a bit more frequently than usual but that will certainly stabilize.
If Windows Update has been busy downloading & installing updates, as is typically the case with brand new systems, it will tax initial performance to a degree until the updating process is completed.
If you don't see expected performance after all software updates are completed please contact Toshiba support at 800-457-7777 for troubleshooting help.

The only thing is that streaming or 2 functions at the same time will just make it extremely slow. Other than that great!
