Ok Product for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the compute home and it just didn't seem snappy to me - also windows as a tablet isnt as intuitive as android or ios - in my opinion. Might be a good option for some - I ended up returning it because it just didnt feel right to me. Why - because I can use my phone for most things and until I find a tablet/laptop I am comfortable with I am not in a rush to purchase one. It was worth a shot - not a bad product so don't shy away from it - just wasn't for me.

No complaints
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had the laptop for a few months, but no complaints so far. Don't have the issues with this laptop as I had with the Dell touchscreen.

Decent price, when on sale, for given specs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At list price, it's not worth it, but for $350 it had all the specs I wanted and made it worthwhile.

Posted .Thank you for the review, Koku55, and sorry to hear that you experienced some sort of crash with your Satellite E45W-C4200X.
A variety of problems are sometimes described as crashes but since, generally, "crashes" can indicate corruption of critical drivers or Windows itself, I recommend performing a Windows Reset to restore Windows to its factory configuration. The Toshiba Forums community knowledge base article at forums.toshiba.com/t5/System-Recovery-and-Recovery/How-To-Understanding-System-Restore-Refresh-Reset-and-Recovery/ta-p/342690 has more details and step-by-step instructions for that process.
If that doesn't resolve the problem please contact Toshiba support at 800-457-7777 for further troubleshooting help.
Thanks again for the feedback and sorry for the trouble.

So far so good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have moved from Windows 7 to 10, so there is a learning curve. The touch pad is too sensitive for me, but over all I like it.

Great laptop for a begineer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing I did not like was there are few ports built-in. I actually wanted ports, like VGA, Ethernet, and Display Port.

SLOW SLOW SLOW!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a new computer this is VERY slow! My 5year old HP works faster than this. Loads faster web pages and office. Dissappointed.

Just an outstanding product for the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed a great computer for our high school-aged daughter, but did not want to break the bank. Looked at the Surface tablet, and iPad Air 2 with keyboards, but the iPad was still somewhat limited on both screen size and not being able to use a mouse. Surface was nice, but with an Atom processor, seemed a bit underpowered. Plus, BOTH of the tablets cost quite a bit more than this Toshiba. Performance from the 6 GB of RAM and i3 processor are very good. Is it the fastest computer on the planet? Of course not, but for student and common everyday use, it is more than capable. No lag, quick startup, and plenty of hard drive storage. Construction is thin, but has enough weight to it to feel solid and well built. Screen is bright, clear, and the touch surface works extremely well. I love the fact that it will fold backwards (which disables the keyboard) and becomes a stand for the screen if you just want to use it in touchscreen mode while sitting in your lap or on a table. Keyboard has a nice feel, and the keys rebound nicely. Very smooth to type on. Battery life has been outstanding. We regularly get at least 6 hours out of it, and that's with the screen near maximum brightness. We have been a Mac family for quite a while, and I have to say... Windows 10 is not bad at all. Works well, performs quickly, and does not freeze up. After the fiasco that was Windows 8, this is very nice. Good job Microsoft. Lastly, the trackpad is very good. LOVE the fact that they have started using "gestures" to navigate in the same basic way that Apple does. Not having any buttons is much better, and works quite well. Caught this on sale, and what a great deal it was! When you first fire it up, you might think it is moving a bit slow. This is just the computer doing all of the updates, setting things up, etc. After the first couple of hours, it got quite speedy, and has stayed that way.

Returned after 4 days due to a fatal error
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not have much success with this product and ended up returning it after only having it for 4 days. After 4 days it would no longer start up and had a fatal error that left it in a non-ending start up loop. The Geek Squad were not able to help me easily fix it, and it sounded like it would be a big repair. To me it sounded like this computer would be nothing but a headache going forward, so I returned it.

Very nice for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after my old Toshiba died after six years. The processor is pretty fast and it boots up quit quickly. I was a bit concerned with the smallish hard drive, but so far it has not been an issue. Windows 10 has not been as difficult to navigate as I thought.

Very Happy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek Squad pronounced my Sony Vaio doa so I chose this Toshiba because a tech friend had sold me a used Toshiba before I had the Vaio and it's still working. So far so good. Easy to use, screen is easy to see and it's small enough to really be portable.
